Mr. Carlisle sucht eine Assistentin. Bewerben innerhalb...

Ich will eigentlich gehen. Will, dass es mir egal ist. Aber... etwas in mir fragt sich, was ihn so verletzt haben könnte, dass er Freundinnen einstellen muss.

Ich werde ihn entweder retten...oder er wird mich ruinieren...

A wine country native, I moved to San Francisco for college just shy of a decade ago to pursue a lifelong interest in film. As I settled into the vibrant city, it quickly became apparent that, while I thought making and editing films was great fun, I lacked cinematic genius. For that reason, my career path quickly changed direction. My next goal was a strange childhood interest, conjured at the dining room table while filling out a form. For some reason, my young self wanted to be an Accountant. Thinking on it now, I wonder how I had any friends. Regardless, it was the direction I finally took.

While I could wrangle numbers with the best of 'em, and even though I wore the crown as the most outspoken, belligerent accountant in the world, my mind got as stuffy as my daily routine. It was here that I dusted off my creative hat and began writing.

Spoilers ahead, 3.5*

Olivia is a broke recent college graduate who's desperate for a job, her friend recommends applying to be Hunter Carlisle's admin and shreas some of the ....... unusual job requirements. Olivia is hesitant but agrees, she's attracted to Hunter and is called for a follow up interview but she realizes that even though Hunter may have sex he's very cold and closed off. Olivia decides to accept another job opportunity but is stunned when Hunter tracks her down and tells her that opportunity is no longer available to her. He instead offers her a month long trial before she signs his contract. They embark on a relationship that may have started as his usual but Olivia isn't like any sdmin Hunter's ever had

************
So this was a step outside my usual kinda read, Olivia's friend who recommended her for the job had in fact slept with Hunter too. He offers his admin a contract where they perform their office duties, accompany him to events and provide sex whenever he may need it without emotions being involved. I didn't like that the h's friend had had sex with Hunter and was able to speak enthusiastically about it and I also didn't like that it was his modus operandi but Hunter really seems to be devoted to his job so it sorta works here?? Idk I'm outta my depth lol

Hunter is a cheater, he's engaged to a woman who he says is very promiscuous to the extent that he once walked in in her activities. We don't meet this fiancee though everyone knows she exists. Hunter says that it was a contract signed to get them away from their father's though it's unclear if he was ever involved with her

It's clear that there are secrets and things to be revealed at a later time

All in all I surprised myself by enjoying this and looking forward to it's conclusion as it ends abruptly and leads to the next book

OM drama as the h almost went home with her ex one drunken night
Cheating as the H is engaged though we're told it was to fulfill a deal with their respective fathers

This was good! Sort of has a fifty shades feel without all the bdsm and on a much lighter scale. Definitely a HFN but it was happy enough for me and I really don't like when things don't end happy. There's some angst, but it's hard to explain and not an issue in the present time per say but I see I can see some major angst in the future with these two so I'm a little Leary of continuing with the series but I liked this one a lot! I like Olivia the main character a lot and several supporting characters. Hunter I like, but not gonna lie, he needs some work ☺️

Now I knew buying this book ( short story) that it was right at 200 pages, I know I don't normally buy a book less than 300 pages so shame on me for being pi**ed its so short!! The concept of the book seemed familiar (think FSOG, pretty women) but I'm a sucker for smart/ feisty down on their luck girls making it to the top and finding love scenarios. So I took a chance bought a short story thinking it would be a story, even being book one I thought it'll wrap everything up and the next book will be their continued story. Wrong!!! Story just ends, nothing is wrapped up and loads left unanswered!! WTF is wrong with finishing a freaking story anymore, why do authors feel the need to extort every penny from their readers?! This just sucks!! I want a beginning a middle and somewhat of an ending even if it just wraps up most of the story to continue on in the next book It's not great but I can handle it. This though, this whole just stopping at a chapter everything left hanging bull**it is for the birds. I would love to find out what happens to these characters as it truly was an interesting story and I enjoyed the chemistry between the MC, sexy times, yea buddy.! However, I will decline, if you want my following then you have to respect me as a reader and give me a whole freaking book!!! Wasted 99¢, and time. This could have easily been a 4 star read had it been completed. Don't waste time and frustration on this book! :(

Sexual Commuter Quotient: Well, I shelved this in 'hot & steamy' and it definitely filled in the burning hot and steamed up. Read on public transport...mmm, maybe, if you're good at tuning out the general public and you're not bothered about surrounding geeks and creeps.

This book was a romance read extraordinaire. A win/win for me. Willow Summers is another pen name for K F Breene who can't seem to make a step wrong with me.

There isn't anything in terms of plot here that hasn't been done before, but the depth of characterisations and it's realistic flavour hit the spot for me. The main character is someone completely identifiable, and Mr Tall Dark & Handsome has a nice complexity to him.

The storyline itself isn't original, but the writing and storyline combined are expertly drawn out and despite plots like this one that often come out as forced and verging on the ridiculous, these characters together with the tale come off just fine. In some ways I am sure people attempt to compare this with 50 Shades of Grey, however, I find that comparison insulting. Whereas 50 didn't make the novel interesting or even remotely believable, these characters manage to put out something tangible without jumping feet first towards the inane and ridiculous. This novel also doesn't try to squeeze out some gratuitous BDSM to inject a modicum of interest into something that is unbelievable bordering towards the ludicrous in order to garner reader attention. This book actually has a story to tell.

This book puts romance in the workplace with a bit of saucy stuff to fit right in and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Yes, Please was an interesting romance to dive into.

At some point, I got vibes of fifty shades but like tamer and still somewhat enjoyable. Which is definitely weird to say because I didn't like the fifty shades series one bit, but somehow the characters in this book were less annoying. I'll admit that that they were okay for the most part, but I wasn't in love with them.

Besides the romance between Hunter and Olivia, I guess the small doses of drama were okay too. Again, they didn't really do anything for me. I just kind of wanted to skim over them if I'm being honest here.

Not sure what the next book will be about, but I don't really have a huge desire to jump into it. Maybe one day I will, but right now - no promises.

Blurb caught my attention and the price was right -- FREE! Fans of the Fifty Shades revolution will probably enjoy the antics at work here. It runs the same gambit and not much new or refreshing to add to what has been done over and over. A little less than well-developed at this point, and you're going to have to wait for more on Olivia and Hunter. Yes, prepare yourself to be left standing alone and asking why. Not a bad read if this is your preference and it was free.

Ok I'll be honest with you about this book. When I read the book description, I wasn't going to buy it. Why? Because ever since 50 Shades it seems like everyone needs a contract for sex. BUT, then I discovered that Willow Summers is the alter-ego of one of my all time favorite authors, K. F. Breene. That is all I needed to know to 1-click her newest creation. And let me say, I'm sooooooooo glad that I did because I absolutely loved it!

I, like most hot-blooded women, lust me a sinfully gorgeous, mysterious, wealthy man. And this book definitely has one (I'll get to him later). However, I enjoyed reading this book due to the heroine, Olivia Johnston. Miss Olivia was smart, witty, down-to-earth, sassy and sexy. I love the way Summers/Breene creates heroines that are likeable and easy to associate with as a woman. Not to strong, not to weak, but just right.

As for Mr. Hunter Carlisle, of course he's drop dead gorgeous but what appeals to me the most is the fact of how silently mysterious he is. He doesn't say a lot but when he does talk, OMGosh it ill have you grabbing your heart while attempting to keep y0ur panties on!

Only bad thing ... I have to wait for the second book. BOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Anyway, LOVED this book and I might even consider forgiving Breene for ending the Darkness Series (I miss Toa!)

Sooooo. Not fully sure what to say about this one. I would of really appreciated it if I had been warned about the fact that Hunter has a fiancée. I really don't like cheating and even if the engagement was more like a business deal and they have nothing to do with eachother it still rubbed me the wrong way. Honestly Hunters personality in general rubbed me the wrong way. I like my heroes to be damaged, but Hunter was just an ass. That contract in general is just ridiculous. As for Olivia? Well she sure gave in quickly after throwing such a fit. Yeah, she frustrated me a bit. I knew this book would be iffy with how short it was, but honestly this time I was glad to finish quickly.

I just wanted a silly smutty book to read, this was free and it fit the bill, so why not? I ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting. It's basically a mixture of the movie "Pretty Woman" (no kissing allowed and she goes shopping with his money) and the book Fifty Shades of Grey (I actually haven't read that but I know that they are both supposed to be plain but pretty, are a bit adorably awkward at times, and have a special contract with a high powered CEO).

I actually thought this was pretty good for what kind of book it is, but it just sort of ends. It's one of those annoying things where the author wrote one book and seemingly decided to cut it up into several books. So it's not a series so much as a continuation of the previous book. I'll still read the next one, but the principle of the thing annoys me.

I got lost in this book. It hooked me from the first page and before I knew it it was over. I can't wait to dive into the next book. However one down fall is the buy of each next part. The stories are short yet the price for each one is high. However as I said it hooked me from the jump so I'm going to see what book 2 is all about, if it's anything like book one I fear I maybe going broke buying the rest of this series.

I can't begin to count all the ways that I loved this book. Though fairly predictable, it hit all the right buttons for me: a strong, quirky heroine, a sometimes-sweet-but-always-jaded alpha, an office setting, and strong writing. All of these mixed together to create something magical. I loved being witness to Olivia giving Hunter a run for his money. I definitely became invested in them and I can't wait to read book 2.

This was a FSOG like book. The characters were okay. I thought Olivia was an okay character, but could have been more relatable. Also, I thought Hunter was good, but I wanted to know more about his past. The storyline was good, but could have been better. The ending was good. Recommended for fans of FSOG. Overall, an okay read.

Yes, Please is book one in the Please Series, one that I downloaded for free. After reading the “Look Inside” section of this, I went ahead and purchased the following three books that make up the whole series. It appealed to me, and believe me, it has to be appealing for the Aussie dollar it costs to buy the further 3 books of this series – we’re talking serious investment here because the Aussie dollar has taken a dive against the greenback (USD), and is over $5 per book.

Hunter Carlisle. Goddamn … but he sounds so freaking sexy. He has a very unorthodox way of interviewing and employing an admin though. Enter Olivia Johnston – graduated from University 6 months prior who hasn’t been able to find a job, despite trying, and is now in dire straights.

The position as Hunter’s admin isn’t advertised. You get an interview by recommendation only, and Olivia’s mentor from university/now friend, Kimberley, gives her the heads up – because she applied prior to becoming involved with her boyfriend.

For those of you would don’t like cheating, you may not appreciate this book. We discover that Hunter has a fiancé – although in “contract” only so Hunter can escape his slimy father – some may still consider what goes on between Hunter and his “admins”, including Olivia, as cheating.

Olivia doesn’t sign the personal contract Hunter requires of his admins – he gives her the month to think about it. That’s not all he gives her. He gives her smart mouth leeway. She has sass, which I like. Does she give in to the effect Hunter has on her? Does she change her mind about signing the personal contract? You’ll have to read it to find out.

I try not to read any reviews books have before I read them so as not to bias my opinion, but after reading, I do. There appears to be a lot of readers who aren’t fans of the “cliffhanger” endings, or the fact that they have to buy 2-3-or 4 books to get the complete story. I happen to like them. Probably because I also write them.

Now, time to get stuck into book 2 … get me some more Hunter Carlisle …

I actually liked this as someone who likes 50 shades it had similar vibes. I’m interested and seeing where it goes.

Tropes- workplace romance, power dynamic with a contract, billionaire romance, hero has a reason for being opposed to love haven’t gotten that back story in book one.

Reminds me a lot of 50 Shades on all fronts, but without the BDSM content. Basically, it's all vanilla, with wealth, employment, bossiness, and drama over a contract.

"Business. Blessed, unfeeling business."- Olivia

Lovely well written sexy and erotically hot "almost" romance story. Allow me to explain the "almost". Ms. Summers sets the stage with first our heroine, Olivia who is hanging on financially by her fingernails. She is a recent graduate from a prestigious university and her friends all are monied and she is not. She has just experienced rejection from a boyfriend of this social circle. Apparently she did not measure up to his standards, even though those standards are shallow and blatantly pecuniary. She does not understand her worth or realize how beautiful and attractive she truly is.
Our hero, Hunter Carlisle is a extraordinarily young CEO brilliant at business and of course too beautiful for words. He is an intense man whose whole life and focus is about business. He is engaged in name only for some business purpose that isn't made clear. He hires a new Personal Assistant every 2-3 years and he happens to be hiring now. It an unique, privileged and highly prized position wherein the woman who is hired is taught and mentored in business, introduced to valuable business connections, paid in the six figures with a credit card to buy appropriate clothing in the judgment of Mr. Carlisle and ultimately given a position befitting her talents in the corporation he owns. There is however a secret clause which spells out a Dominant but mutually satisfying sexual relationship without emotional feelings. Mr. Carlisle prefers to see to his sexual needs while at work with no fuss about it. Rule #1- no kissing. (Trust me you will be reading this and the whole time waiting, anticipating, practically dying for these two to kiss.)
This is a wonderful set-up which highlights the feisty and principled nature of our heroine as she is the first one ever to turn this man down. And for the first time ever he pursues her to sign his "unique" employment contract. Olivia tentatively agrees to try it for a month. We watch as Hunter's business mask begins to slip. But each time it slips a little further, he shores up his resolve to maintain the structure for sexual satisfaction he set in place. Again however, he begins to seek out more than simple companionship and cold sexual relations. There is something honest and wholesome about the beauty of Olivia that seems to be wearing him down and burrowing into his heart.
The author gives us a little backstory and introduces us to the rogue that Hunter's father shows himself to be. There is intrigue building but you have to read it yourself to see if the longed for "kiss" happens in this book or the next book for which the author seems to be setting the stage. I just may be curious enough to bite. She has me caring about these two. So if you love the "impossible" love and the heroine is not sure if she will settle for anything less than love, trope. Boy, oh boy... this hot erotic book and beyond is just the thing for your itchy one click finger.

I have posted this review on the 4th book as well, but I realized that it probably doesn't do most people a lot of good there since they've most likely already read the first three books by the time they would see it. I've put a couple things in spoiler tags but for the most part I haven't revealed anything that you couldn't already see coming a mile away.

This series is a perfect example of how choosing the wrong POV and not knowing where to end it can ruin the whole thing. From the beginning, I wasn't a huge fan of the fact that we never got to see inside Hunter's head. IMO, books where romance is the main plot tend to flop if the reader is only getting one side of the story. Plus, they immediately give me bad flashbacks to Twilight. I love books where the hero is an alpha male almost to the point of being a complete douchebag. If I'm able to get into his head, the I'm able to see his redeeming qualities even if they have yet to be revealed to the heroine.

The sad thing is this book did reach a point where I was able to get past the poor POV choice and love Hunter anyway. However, the 4th book ruined it for me. In many ways Hunter undid all the progress he made in the first three books and retreated to a secretive asshole who thought all information was "need to know" and he had decided Olivia didn't. By the time all was revealed I had stopped caring about his motives and intent and I was just pissed at him

And I wanted to grab Olivia and shake her. I don't care what happened in his past, if he couldn't handle it without being an asshole then he needed therapy. Which of course was mentioned in passing and Olivia said something stupid about it not being right for a "guy like him" or some such crap. You know who therapy isn't right for? Psychopaths and malignant narcissists - that's it. If you can't find a therapist that works for you, you're either not trying hard enough or you're not fixable. Period.

Bad books usually make me sad, not angry, but by the end of the fourth book I was just furious. If I had a physical copy, I'd burn it.

Not having read other works by Willow Summers before, I was immediately intrigued with her synopsis and the cover. As soon as the story begins, we get to meet Olivia Johnston, a recent college graduate who is in search for a job. Without any luck, her friend tells her about a position that just recently opened where she works, but it comes with a catch. The CEO just happens to need an assistant that is not afraid to take on challenges, while she is also not against staying after hours to work on whatever he needs her to do. Now the catch is what surprises Olivia when her friend tells her that while the CEO needs an assistant, he also might need a no-strings-attached-sex partner who is willing to work for him and do whatever he pleases outside the office. Not only will this open doors for Olivia, but it could also help her get a another job in the future. Putting her apprehensiveness aside, she interviews for the job, not expecting to get it at all, and it end she is called back for an offer that will change her life forever.

Being a wealthy CEO comes with its advantages, but when Hunter Carlisle's assistant quits, he has no choice but to get a new assistant. He knows that it's not going to be easy to find someone that will accept his requirements, but as soon as he meets Olivia, he knows that he has to get her to accept the job. Soon their chemistry stars to grow, and the intensity of it is what keeps pulling them closer. But soon secrets start to reveal themselves throughout the story, and ultimately they will have to decide if they are good for each other or not. I really enjoyed reading this story, both of the characters have pasts that have kept them from moving forward, yet when they're together they can trust each other and that along it what had me reading nonstop. There was a start to a character development, but since the book ends on a cliffhanger it's not fully developed. I am eager to read the second book in the series. If you are looking for a hot romance between a hot CEO who is going to melt your heart, and an assistant that knows how to stand her ground then I would highly recommend reading this book. :)

My word, Hunter Carlisle is a hot mess. Sexy, but a hot mess. A hot mess of sexiness?

The basic premise of the story is every HR rep's nightmare, but how can you not be sucked (see what I did there?) in when the CEO has a separate contract for his admin assistant, and everyone knows what is required of said admin assistant?

The stipulations might sound totally insane, especially given what Olivia got her college degree in, you would think she wouldn't have to entertain the thought of accepting the admin position. Some might say that sounds unrealistic and her degree should have gotten her a job without the extracurricular activities required by one Hunter Carlisle. My friends let me say that even with her education, sometimes you could be a victim of timing (my husband has a degree in criminal justice as well as 11 years of military experience and was still unemployed for a time, all because of timing). So while the requirements of the job seem so unbelievable, I can certainly understand Olivia's desperation about needing to find employment.

There's obviously chemistry between she and Hunter, I mean the sexuals are damn hot! But it's her banter with him that had me laughing quite a few times throughout the story. Olivia might fall under his charm, but that doesn't mean she's going to just be a doormat. She does manage to shake his rigid (I did it again!) world up by not bending to his will each and every time he beckons her. Olivia also manages to do the impossible when it comes to Hunter and his separate admin assistant requirements. I can't wait to find out what happened with Hunter to make him hesitant when it comes to showing his feelings.

Olivia needs a job. Despite graduating from a prestigious college, no one wants to give her a chance, either she doesn't have enough experience or she is over qualified. Her friend Kimberly gives her the heads up on a great, but unusual, job opportunity. Hunter Carlisle needs an assistant, one that will offer a little something extra! But, that little something extra might be more than Olivia can give. Pushed to the brink of desperation, Olivia takes the job despite her reservations. She soon falls under the spell of the enigmatic Hunter, but she refuses to give in completely. Hunter can't help but be attracted to the strong willed Olivia, and he finds himself making compromises with her that he hasn't with any other assistant he has ever employed.

I really liked Olivia, she is funny, a little clumsy, and relatable. Hunter was everything you want in a billionaire: gorgeous, sexy, aloof, and mysterious. He has issues for sure, but they do not come to light in this book, they are just eluded to. The supporting cast of characters are good and add much needed comedic relief to the story.

I found myself rolling my eyes quite a bit while reading this book because it has more than a passing resemblance to Fifty Shades of Grey. I think this story could have stood on it's on merits, and I would have enjoyed it more, if it hadn't reminded me of the aforementioned book. I did like the Pretty Woman kind of feel to it, and I wish the author would have played that aspect of the story up a bit more. All in all, not a bad book, just could have been so much better.
