Don Miguel Ruiz is the author of The Four Agreements, The Mastery of Love, and numerous other bestselling books. He is also one of the most influential spiritual teachers on the planet, having touched the lives of millions and millions of people around the globe. No person has been affected more by his teachings than his own son, don Miguel Ruiz Jr., and in this groundbreaking work, don Miguel Ruiz Jr. has compiled the wisdom of his father into one little, albeit extremely powerful, book. The essential teachings contained within these pages have been selected from don Miguel’s recorded lectures, workshops, interviews, and most importantly, the private moments between a father and his son. If you are one of the many people who love The Four Agreements, this book offers in-depth teachings that are designed to bring more insight, inspiration, and joy into your daily life
Wisdom packed little book. The 5 levels make intuitive sense. The first two thirds of the book are a description and application of them. The exercise of forgiveness with the maze was refreshingly new. The last third catches you off guard because there's so many powerful exercises, especially on how to work with beliefs.
I LOVED this book and its messages. So simple yet so profound at the same time. I wish I was 30 years younger, so I could apply the agreements as they are explained to my own life. All the baggage we carry around - social and emotional-would not be a part of my life in any way, and I would be in such a different place today. This is a book to read and reflect upon and read again over and over.
This was a good book with several quote worthy notes of wisdom; however, I felt like a lot of the writing was extremely repetitive and the book could have been condensed to not repeat the same teachings so many times. I instead would have liked to see more practical applications of how to use the teachings. Overall, a nice read.
Feels like this book could’ve been written in 50 pages. Would’ve enjoyed the lessons through more stories rather than short maxims. It was so repetitive, and most of it could’ve been boiled down to a handful of principles. Would someday like to do a comparative study with Buddhism. I see a lot of similarities on the surface. Would like to examine under the surface for differences and digressions, which would be fascinating given the origins of the Toltec and Buddhism sprouted from two faraway continents.
Generally, I liked the book very much; it rings true, and my personal experiences are consistent with those of the author's, but their are statements that are not real. I assume that my confusion is a function of the author's vocabulary. For example: his use of the term 'the word'. Also, the story line skips over the refining process of the word.
There are a few books I will read over and over in my lifetime and this book is one of them. I recommend this to everyone everywhere in the world. It was written for you.
Some of my Takeaways: - "you create the story of your life. You create an entire reality that is only true for you" "I create my personal world, but it is just a story. It's not real, and it's not true. In the same way, your story is not true either". "You begin to change your world the moment you realize it is not true, it is only a story" - "The goal...is to love yourself exactly as you are and to live your life the way you want to live it". Learning unconditional love, without expectation or obligation, through conflict. - Let go of knowledge, any limitations you have set, and just be. Being okay with not knowing. "You don't have to expect anything from yourself" - "You can help me to change the world by changing your own world through unconditional love for yourself. And when you do, it's like magic, because everyone around you will also change" - "You become your authentic self by letting go of what you think you should be"

Another excellent read...I love all of their books. This book provides daily aphorisms or powerful individual proverbs of information to inspire one to probe deep within their self and to remove the masks obtained in life. This book also did a great job of demonstrating the applicability of how to use the Four Agreements in our daily lives, as we detach from the domesticated way of thinking. I highly recommend this book and every other book from this other and any of their family members.
I would give this book an almost five. Don Miguel Ruiz Little book of wisdom. shares advice of living a more happy life. His son Miguel Ruiz shares his father's advice and Wisdom. Don Miguel Ruiz wrote "The Four Agreements" his son shares parts of that book and other advice he learned from his dad. A good helpful book of wisdom I enjoyed reading. Very good book with some great advice how to live a happier life.
I am deeply greatful for the wisdom your family has shared with the world! You have truly guided me thru my journey just through these books. It seemed that I would pause and pick up where I left off just in time for the lesson to be clear and understanding. I have come along way and I appreciate you bringing me into this new life!
I enjoyed the wisdom stories near the end of the book. The wisdom passages which take most of the book were repetitive and felt lazy. The stories on the other hand felt honest and personal, but the passages didn’t bring much new, felt recycled and lacked that personal and honest aspect
Don’t Miquel Ruiz Jr does a great job of explaining the meaning of his ancient faith through modern language. He challenges the modern illusion that we can understand our own reality completely rather than as The Apostle Paul put it, as if we were looking through imperfect glass.
Pretty repetitive and I dare to say a bit boring, the book has knowledge I've read before in various books, enjoyed some of the stories, especially when Miguel was being initiated and when he was in the mirror room.
