This book contains 3 stories: Clone's Bride (Celestial Mates #2), Fire Princess Returns (Celestial Mates #0.2) and The God Particle

Few people in the verse understand or have a genuine liking for the Shardon. They see clones as expendable since they are so easy to replace. Some are even under the mistaken impression clones aren’t real people and they share a hive mind.

Lar Shalon is one such clone. There simply aren’t enough hours in the day to combat all the irrational beliefs about his kind. Being a physician he understands the critical need to breed humans in order to save his dying race. What he can’t quite get his head around is how they are going to lure human females to them. As he sets about learning their breeding habits, one won’t seem to leave him alone. She can’t seem to keep from touching him. It’s disconcerting and he doesn’t know quite what to make her behavior.

Madison and her twin sister are dying. The doctors on Earth have no idea what’s wrong with them. Their one hope of survival is signing up for the alien brides program. Aliens have spaceships and technology, right? They must have advanced medical knowledge as well. The desperate pair risk everything on one last wild gamble at staying alive, landing gorgeous alien husbands in the bargain.

DNF
I did not like or enjoy this book. I stop reading half way through. Here is why:

1 - There is no real romance here. There are romantic relationships, yes, but to me, they come out of thin air, there is nothing behind them to substantiate them. There is no meaning to anything.

2 - The plot is force and banalized.

3 - There is no character development at all. They are plain, one dimensional and childlike.

Thus, the result is a very superficial and artificial story I have no interest for.
I do not recommend this series.

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you C.J. Scarlett!

This book was an improvement in the previous novel. It had better humour, better flow, and offered a greater view of the alliance.

I enjoyed the multiple point of views in the novel. They offered a well rounded perception of the world in which the ni el rakes place. My favourite narrator was Madison as she was the funniest of them, and compensated for her superficialness - slightly.

Here come the negatives; I wish that the females took longer to fall in love. Kaylee is the only one who is hesitant and who appears to be following the natural timeline of courting. It felt off when Madison and Lar proclaimed their love to each other. It was slightly out if the blue (haha my pun is great). They hadn't really gotten to know each other yet.

Now to get back to what I did like; the Earth Gov soldier scenes. Super well done, introducing this political element into the book. Their cruelness really grounded the novel in my opinion.

Overall, an improvement on the previous installment!

Great start - left me wanting more

I really adored the "clones" in this read. They were so kind hearted and caring. I enjoyed watching them transition into their individual personalities as well. I will definitely be checking out more in this series.

So good I could not put it down.

This book not only drew me in but it made me long for more. I only wish that it had both sisters stories available. I do hope that there will be more to this series. Anyone wanting romance and sci fi action will enjoy this.

I love this series, Fire Princess is the prequel, followed by Fire Princess Return's, then The Ambassador's Bride, this is the next book in the series and I cant wait to read The Imperial Bride.
These books are all based in a time when Earth has undergone a environmental catastrophe and the surface is no longer livable, also women outnumber men 2-1, as there are several Alien races that seem to have a major female shortage and they are all hot as heck it only makes sense to trade the one commodity earth has left women, although it might sound heartless if you were stuck on a dying planet and treated like trash and suddenly a series of gorgeous Aliens that want to take you away to a beautiful world where you will be loved and cherished, who would say no to that.
This book is great for anyone who enjoys a fanciful tail that has a great plot and a wonderful cast of hot and adorable Aliens.

Great book I have really enjoyed this series and the heroines involved, each completely unique in personality. this book of the series revolves around two of the so-called scruffs ( humans in the lower class area sold to the aliens in exchange for valuable earth resources) who need life-saving treatment to survive and the first of 3 brides to be given to the clones, a race void of females and cloning a minimalistic gene pool, my only issue with the book is that sometimes I get lost between characters talking to eachother, other than that I think this author will make it far and her writing style is superb, I am excited about more series in the future and will remain a fan.

Clones yet not

This series just keeps getting better. Lar is a clone. Their species is dying because of lack of females, literally. But of the three species in the alliance they feel less desirable because of lack of individuality. They could not be so wrong. And human female, Madison is going to prove it. She actively goes after Lar. I love this book. The humor is great, the pure honesty of the clones, and their striving to be individual, and of course the respect they show the females of earth is awesome. More books to come

Going strong

This series is quite interesting and I have to say that I am enjoying it immensely. I thought the clones were awesome and I was kind of made at the other races because of their bigotry. The twins were super cute and I was happy they grew healthy. The doctor was portrayed so well that I'm glad he is getting his.

Funny and Romantic

Enjoying this series very much. Stories around great and characters around so likeable you can seem to get enough. I'm reading through them so quickly I'm going to wait for the next one. The banter is so engaging, funny and so easy to follow. This is one of the best sci-fi series.

The clone books are interesting, but the freebee is more than a bit creepy.

Multiple groups of aliens needing women/wives to keep their societies from going extinct find that Earth has an overabundance of unneeded women and children that are physically compatible with their races.

I love this authors work, I read three books in one day, so addictive. I want me a Clone now..... loved how at the end it had The Fire Princess returns.. I always wondered what happened, this is interwoven in this book and gives away hints of what happened.

Scarlett really has a way of making you see her characters and understanding them. Wonderful storytelling with lots of love and understanding of different cultures on both sides.

Good but Short

I wish there had been more of the main story. Maybe some more from Kaylee's pov and would liked to know of the 3 woman that came with them.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This was a fun and interesting sci-fi read. This is the first time I read a book by this author, C.J. Scarlett, but I assure you, it will not be the last. I thought this was a good book, and I loved the main characters of Kaylee and Madison and the other cast of characters in the story—both human and aliens. I must admit, since I did not read book 1 (Ambassador’s Bride), it was slow at first to follow—but once I kept reading, I was able to adhere to the story. Since there are alliances, treaties, trade, partnerships, corporations that are part of the universe, Earth has been left in despair causing its people to live underground and destroying the sustainable natural resources causing sickness and starvation. Madison and her twin sister, Kayee, are dying on Earth from a nameless disease that was making it difficult for them to breathe and debilitated their strength. Kaylee and Madison sign up for the alien’s bride program on the Shardon ship for treatment. After Madison’s treatment, she awakes and finds that she is attracted to Lars Shalon, a clone doctor. The chemistry between Madison and Lars grows more potent the more time they spend together—the sex is off the chart hot! Cannot give too much away, so read it and see what happens. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next with lots of romance while the strong charismatic characters draw readers in and refuse to let go. The book will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end.

It really could have been a great series....
The first book (there are more in this book) was ok.
But the rest was not.
There was a book where the main character was angry at a man who abducted her and then she finds out her mom (who was traveling with him to see her) mates with that man. She got really mad and I felt for her and her mom actually chose the guy she just met and did not want to hear what her daughter had to say. That should have been a battle of epic proportions! I was really giddy with how it would go. ... Then the guy said something like: I did not want to do that. ... and we were all forgiving him and that was that.... such a bummer.
That was not the only time things were handled stupid and without any fantasy.
No I did not like this at all.

I LOVED this story and I wish there was more to it and I can't wait until another comes out. In this story, the characters feel more developed and while sex is a focus it isn't as in your face. Now the big scene is pretty descriptive but that is to be expected from a romance genre.

Without giving too much away in this story we are introduced to Madison and her twin sister and we go on Madison's discovery of love with one of the Clones a doctor. Now Madison's sister is also falling for one of the Clones but she is a bit reluctant about it due to not wanting to be separated from her sister. I thought everything about the story was great from how the Clones show that they are just as much warriors as thinkers and how the alliance is working. This is definitely the best one of this series yet including the prequel.

Now the BIG thing that I just annoy the mess out of me is how the story of Clones Bride is only 30% of the damn book. I mean come on that is a bit of a rip off in my opinion. The other 70% of the book are the SAME two stories that were included in the first book Ambassadors Bride. Why I mean really why include the same two damn books in the second novel. There isn't a point to it in my opinion. I have the first book and the first book offers them so there is NO reason for them to be in this copy....I don't know if the author was wanting to include them to be nice or to increase the page count or what but either way it wasn't necessary. It was extremely disappointing to get to the end of the book and see the progression bar at only 30%

Clones bride is a wonderful and with a extra bonus of 2 extra books mix in. When earth is slowly dying and there is alien race that is looking for human females a deal is made. We are taken on a wild ride with 2 sisters and the ones that are match for them. This was excellent sci fi story. Cant wait to read more. Recommend this book

Proofreading...

Apparently this author skimped on proofreading in order to try to snag sales faster. There were so many errors I gave up reading it.
