He’d stopped believing in happy endings a long time ago, but a chance encounter with a stranded traveler on Valentine’s Day will prove it’s never too late for love.
Even the most loving of families face conflict at one time or another, but any kind of discord makes Sierra Jones-Roseman physically ill. Since childhood, she’s been her family’s mediator and peacekeeper, so she shouldn’t have been surprised when she gets a phone call from her long-lost sister. Reconciling a five-year absence won’t be easy, especially when her sister refuses to come home, forcing Sierra to leave the safety of her northern California commune for the first time. What’s begins as a journey of trepidation turns into an exhilarating adventure as Sierra experiences some of what the wide, wonderful world has to offer, including Logan Hamilton.
Being a long-haul truck driver is tough on married life, a fact Logan learned the hard way. Twice divorced, he’s reconciled himself to a solitary life on the road until he rescues Sierra Jones-Roseman who’s stranded on a dangerous stretch of highway. Something about the wide-eyed innocent reignites Logan’s dreams of home and hearth in Sapphire Falls, the small Nebraska town where he grew up, but can a man who’s been alone for so long learn to love again?
Four daughters are whipped from their traditional home in the middle of the night by their parents. They end up in a commune across country then their father disappeared. Now grown they are quite naive and sheltered. Sierra Jones-Roseman is the second oldest daughter. She has never left the commune and has a sickly physical reaction to conflict. She becomes determined to get to Sapphire Falls to stop Ember's Valentine wedding. So she sets out by herself. But she encounters a big problem when her car breaks down on an interstate in the midst of a snowstorm. With help, she is lucky to get to a truck's diner. How will she get to Sapphire Falls? Logan is a twice divorced long haul truck driver. He is determined to remain single forever. When he and his dog stop at the diner, the owner tells him about the stranded young woman. But he has no interest until he learns she is headed to Sapphire Falls, his hometown. What will happen on the long ride? Will the magic of Sapphire Falls wave flow between the trucker and his passenger once there? This story is power packed with emotions from family issues, fear to love again, forgiveness, friendship and love. I highly recommended this well written, heartfelt story!!!
This is another great addition to the Sapphire Falls Kindle World. Sierra is hurrying to Sapphire Falls to try to stop her sister from getting married without the family there. When her car breaks down on the interstate, she has to accept help from strangers. Logan is a long haul truck driver on his way home to Sapphire Falls when he is convinced to give Sierra a lift. Can a burned out, twice divorced cynical man find anything in common with an innocent sweet homebody? You'll have to read the book to see!
Ms. Connor has done a great job integrating the Sapphire Falls culture & atmosphere into her series. The characters are realistic & could be neighbors in my small town. The connection between Sierra & Logan comes through in the dialogue. I really enjoyed this one.
There is no such thing as falling in love too fast in Sapphire Falls. Sierra and Logan's story pretty much proves that one. My favorites part is that he is a truck driver!
Quick little story about a disillusioned truck driver and a naive young woman. When Sierra’s car breaks down near a little out of the way truck stop, she is offered a ride to Saywerville. Sparks are exchanged in a clean way that was G rated. I didn’t have to feel embarrassed reading this. If you like HEA, you will enjoy this little book. This is second in a series. I received a free e-copy and am leaving my honest review. 3 1/2 stars easy to read
