Meet three thirty-somethings whose lives have swerved way off the beaten track. Jools has an addiction to married men, usually her boss, which always ends in disaster. Before she can come to terms with being unemployed (yet again), she finds herself up the duff, the father unknown. If only she could remember his name . . . Sally is married to Vincent, a self-absorbed televangelist, obsessed with his tV show and his beauty treatments. She spends her days working, ferrying her three children around and listening to her husband preach. How could she have waved her hopes and dreams away without a second thought? Kat has the perfect life, the perfect job, perfect husband, home and the soon-to-come perfect children. But when her suspicions that her husband is having an affair are proved to be correct, she suddenly finds herself single with a handbag full of broken dreams. Can they find their way back to the dreams of their youth - or is it time to accept life's lemons and start making lemonade? this hilarious tale of a life-changing year signals the return of Auckland writer Kate Langdon, feistier and funnier than ever. So so bad! Heroine just takes husband back after he dumps her and cheats on her! It also really bothered me that she never confronted him about taking his mistress (her friend), to Hawaii where they originally went on honeymoon!

I liked this book it was so good it talks about a kid who needed money to go to college school so she babysat kids for her job. but it wasn't easy for her to make money for college.
Lighthearted and fun enough, lovely to have a book set in my own country. A few terfy moments had me wincing but felt authentic regardless. Felt a but rushed at the end.
Fun light read. Chapters alternate between characters who were friends many years ago, but whose stories do not really connect now, which was a bit annoying until the end when you get a sort of happy-ever-after. Ending was a bit flat for me, but still enjoyed the book.
Making Lemonade was an easy read. The perfect book for reading on the beach. A true to life reading about life not being perfect but you can still make lemonade!
