Holy sh*t. Didn't expect to enjoy this. I thought it would give me pedo-vibe. Just to warn you, it's shotacon. But seriously, the chemistry is so good. <3

Sayonara Alpha by Ichinashi Kimi is labelled as a shotacon yaoi. However, it turns out this story is anything but. Chika lives as an alpha for self-preservation until he saves elementary school boy Haruka, and discovers Haruka is his fated partner. This story is good, both characters are endearing, and the best part is Chika is a decent enough to wait until Haruka is grown before engaging in a romantic relationship. Actually, he has the patience of a saint. Abstinence makes the heart grow fonder.

Pues me ha gustado bastante más de lo que esperaba, el tufillo a shota lo he llevado bien gracias a que la mangaka espera a que crezca el muchacho para que haya "asunto". Ahora, la parte cuando es niño, en alguna ocasión me ha llegado a incomodar, lo salva con que es un omegaverse, pero no ha logrado quitarme ese creepy feeling del todo.

Me estoy dando cuenta que me esta pasando lo mismo con todas las historias de tomo único que leo, que es que me sabe a poco, que todo parece apresurado y les falta desarrollo. En este caso es igual, la idea es muy potente e interesante, pero de pronto pasaron 11 años en los que solo sabemos que los personajes siguieron con sus vidas y luego el final feliz. Si se supone que los destinados no pueden negarse a estar juntos porque sus cuerpos no se ven afectados por la distancia una vez que ya se cruzaron, ¿cuáles son las consecuencias de esos 11 años? ¿Cómo van solidificando su relación? ¿Cómo les afecta la diferencia de edad? Necesito más de la historia.
He leído varios (más de 10) mangas omegaverse BL y es la primera vez que encuentro el tema que se plantea acá. Obviamente tiene lógica que no sea algo muy común porque es un tema delicado, pero es algo que entra perfectamente en la cosmología omegaverse y esta bueno que haya una autora que se atreva a abordarlo.

What happens in the omegaverse world when you meet your fated mate when you have a rather large age-gap? This story goes about answering this question in a, thankfully, healthy way.

Chika is in high school when he meets his fated mate who is a young middle school boy. He knows immediately that this isn’t okay and that the pairing isn’t something he should pursue.

While the beginning sometimes gave me the ick, I really like how the story progressed!

S: Es la quinta vez que leo este manga, y sigue encantandome. El estilo de dibujo, la historia, los personajes, amo todo.
Esta historia te muestra los "vinculos" o "parejas destinadas" de una manera distinta, que hasta te puede poner en el lugar del personaje principal y de su sufrimiento al no poder controlar lo que siente por su destinado años mas joven.
Hay personas que no terminan de leer la historia solo porque sellan al prota como un "Pedofilo", pero pido que lo lean completo y entiendan el contexto, porque la historia es hermosa.
Porque no 5 estrellas? Mis gustos tienden a ser mas de historias mas largas y con mas contexto, pero no digo que esta historia no lo tenga solo que a mi me gustan historias mas extensas y muy románticas (soy re cursi sorry xd)

E: This is the fifth time I've read this manga, and I still love it. The style of drawing, the story, the characters, I love everything.
This story shows you the "bonds" or "destined couples" in a different way, which can even put you in the place of the main character and his suffering by not being able to control how he feels about his destined years younger.
There are people who don't finish reading the story just cause they define the main character as a "Pedophile", but please read it completely and understand the context, because the story is beautiful.
Why not 5 stars? My tastes tend to be more of longer stories and with more context, but I am not saying that this story doesn't have it, only that I like longer and very romantic stories.

Not as bad as I thought it would be, thankfully, nothing happens until both characters are adults with a more developed sense of maturity. I do wish the psychological aspects of being made to fall in love with someone because of an obscure concept like fate, regardless of gender or age. I think that would've made the story more engaging, but it's fine the way it is. A side character makes an off-hand comment that having a fated pair is cruel, or terrifying, or something of that nature. And it's true, if you meet your fated pair early you're unable to fall in love with anyone else or gain experience/learn what you want and need, but then again your fated pair is meant to be perfect for you, so I guess those things are irrelavent because they'll give you anything you could want/need. So yeah, this story missed the opportunity to give commentary on the soulmate trope, but it's fine.

I was a little worried at the start of this with Haruka being so much younger than Chika and Chika already struggling so much learning he was really an Omega instead of an Alpha. The two ended up being really cute together however, even if they did kinda dive back into things head first when they finally got back together after Haruka graduated. I guess since they knew they were fated it wasn't a big deal really, and somewhat expected given Haruka has always been Chika's trigger, but still... wow. That got intense in a big hurry. Then Chika making Haruka wear the bulky glasses at work... yeah, that Clark Kent attempt didn't work at all.

Es la primera vez que leo un shota (y probablemente sea el último también) y pues he quedado bastante sorprendida, no pensé que me fuera a enamorar como me ha enamorado.
He pasado todo el asunto del niño solo porque es un omegaverse, lo cual lo hace más "razonable". Me parece que la mangaka supo manejar muy bien todo este asunto sobre la pareja destinada y realmente amé a Shiga, especialmente por su fortaleza, porque C'mon! El pobre no podía ni consigo mismo e igual iba a ver a Haruto...
Y Haruto, cuando regresa, OH DIOS MÍO!!!!
Si hubiera sido por mi, hubiera dado un grito que se escuchaba hasta la casa de la mangaka, DIOS MIO!
Creo que es un muy buen manga (a pesar del tema del shota), pero no es apto para todo público. Creo que los yaoi son hermosos, pero no todos son para Todo Público, y pues este entra en ese grupo.
Lo recomiendo mucho, pero siempre teniendo en cuenta que es FICCIÓN, eso NO PUEDE ser verdad.
Ahora, yo creo que Shiga y Haruto tuvieron sus babys, no tengo pruebas, pero tampoco dudas.

Lo leí por primera vez hace una semana, y me encantó, y tuve muchos sentimientos encontrados. Hoy solo se que fue tan bueno y hasta más, que la primera vez. La historia de Shiga y de Haruto la llevare en el corazón para siempre 💓

El alpha, Haruka, en esta ocasión era demasiado tierno. Cada que aparecía me daban unos ataques de la cosita pequeña que era Haruka, además era aún más tierno porque él no entendía porque le gustaba tanto Chiga (el omega).

Era claro que tendrían que separarse hasta que Haruka creciera... y cuando finalmente Haruka volvió era todo un alpha.

También tuvo sus momentos graciosos, como cuando Chiga creía que era un alpha al principio del manga, fue gracioso que entregara sus resultados sin verlos XD

Me encanto al máximo. Al principio empezaba a creer que mi mente estaba mal, tal solo por amar una historia donde un adolescente se enamora de un niño. En serio, ¿Dónde estaba mi cabeza por querer que estén juntos?. Pero el final fue hermoso y esa relación de años, fue recompensada con un bonito final. Aunque hubiera querido mas extras solo para complacerme con la pareja.

I don't know how to rate this. It gave me the ick more than a few times, but it was also sweet and tackled the notion of meeting your fated pair way too early with a large age gap in a somewhat healthy way.
