I loved this book. Sean had definately capture the spirit and adventure of the Maddock and Bones books. on a routine search for the Waratah, a early 1900 cargo ship, the crew stumbles across a old airplane off the coast of Africa. Upon exporation they find an old Tomahawk with and the engraving Steven Thorne 28 April 1758. This discovery leads them on a race across the world to the Antartic and possible a missing nazi outpost. To make the book even better, Sean crosses this series over with two of his own. Simplly amazing.
I loved this book, when I heard there was a potential crossover with one of Sean Ellis' other series, I just had to grab it and I was not disappointed. It's a novella, so it only takes around a couple of hours to read but this is one of those stories that you wish was longer, however was tied up nicely that it was just long enough. I love the writing style it has a perfect mix of action/ adventure and mystery - what you come to expect from Sean Ellis and David Wood.
I love the mixture of adventure, history and myth in David Wood's books. His characters are always a lot of fun and it is like visiting with old friends. Waiting for the next adventure.
Fast paced, easy to read & hard to put down. Really enjoyed all the action🙂. Introduced Nick Kismet & the evil Prometheus group. Wish I had read this Novella before the last book.
This was a short story to a beginning of a three part series. It's filled with non stop action and good humor. If you want a quick fast paced story then this is one for you. Give it go!
Good read. I was so in to it that I felt like the end came too quickly. I like reading about familiar and unfamiliar. Stirs my creativity. Already read second book of trilogy and looking forward to the third one. Mr. Wood thank you for an enjoyable read. Also I ask when you get the time to read my first published novel, ONLY CHILD? by Linda Roberti Herko and write a review.
Like most of the series this one is equally as good. Maddock and Bones are drawn into an adventure that leads them to the South Pole and into the hands of the Bad guys. Can't wait to get the follow up book.
While on a routine job looking for a missing cargo ship, Maddock and Bones stumble upon another mystery. When armed mercenaries attack, they are in a race to find out about the artifact and staying alive.
I loved this book! I knew going in that it was a novella, but I sure wasn't ready for it to end. The story was intriguing and Sean Ellis did a great job of staying true to Maddock and Bones. I thought the action was intense and I enjoyed the other characters in the story.
Bones and Maddock set off to find a long lost ship. Should be easy, right? Nothing is easy with our heroes. Danger always seems to have a way of finding them.
