Cyrus enjoys his job training other hybrids. When Titus orders him off training to escort a government auditor around, he isn’t pleased. With Luna Lodge targeted by so many foes, producing a new generation of skilled hybrids is vital to their future. It’s more important than playing tour guide to some pencil pusher.
April hopes her assessment of Luna Lodge for the US government will fast-forward her career. She just didn’t count on an amorous and arrogant general, a bigoted senator, and her attractive escort: the hunky Cyrus. As the two spend more time around one other, they can’t deny the call of their bodies and souls.
Despite their growing passion, April still has a job to do, and that involves figuring out if Luna Lodge is a risk. When she’s caught up in a threat to the Lodge, the bravery and desire of one hybrid might not be enough to save both the woman he loves and his fellow hybrids.
Madison currently lives with her husband and two children in the Valley of the Sun. Phoenix, Arizona. After leaving the frozen tundra of the north, Madison was more surprised than anyone with how much she has enjoyed living in the desert. Seeing as she had stated on more than one occasion how much she hated the heat, it was an odd move. But it seemed her hatred for sub-zero temps and ice, or really the things that ice could do, won out in the end. When she’s not writing, she’s enjoying time with her family. Madison and her family frequent festivals in the area, as well as local cultural events, and spend time with family in the area. In the summer she is most likely to be found in the pool with the family and in the winter by the fireplace. Since both her children are autistic, days can be a little chaotic but with her husband beside her, there’s nothing she can’t handle. Luckily he is also an author and able to share in all the activities (and chores) special needs kids require. Madison has a full schedule of releases planned for 2014 listed and updated on her blog: http://madisonstevens.blogspot.com/ Newsletter Sign-up: http://eepurl.com/OX9r5
Cyrus has dedicated himself to teaching the younger hybrids to defend themselves, knowing with those skills they'll be able to fight to keep their freedom.
April was raised in a military family. She understands life by the book, has a clear definition of right and wrong, and realizes quickly that the same set of facts could be used to show the hybrids have been targeted, or bring a heightened degree of danger to anywhere they are, the question is how will she view, and present those facts?
This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read takes another look at how the hybrids walk the line between military/soldiers and large extended family.
All the Lunar Lodge books are good and this one is no different. Loads of excitement and intrigue, with a shadowy organization behind the scenes pulling strings to make things as hard as possible for the hybrids. But in the midst of trouble yet another finds his true mate! Love wins but the battle rages on. I love it.
2.5 stars. It just felt like nothing happened outside the ‘relationship’ which because of length just ended up being a few sex scenes. This series has so much potential for great world building and it just never really does it. This felt like a filler episode between exciting stuff. Enjoyable to read but I probably won’t really remember it.
Once again a nothing book in this series...these guys seem inept in their ability to gain the freedom they want.
Yay a mate, he’s an ass, happy ending...I’m buying books that take an hour to read and getting no where in the take down of the bad guys 🤬 Im getting frustrated
It was a sweet book. Cyrus was torn between his mate and his brothers but everything worked out. April had a good head on her shoulders, I liked that, she wasn't easily influenced by others. They were a good couple, I liked them
