Every race has a finish line.
Where you go after you cross it is what matters most.
And sometimes, that’s the most intriguing.
Here at GearShark, we’ve featured lots of drivers.
All of them are well acquainted with the finish line.
And as race fans, we’re well acquainted with cheering as they cross it.
What we aren’t privy to is riding shotgun, seeing where they drive once the race is over.
Our interviews barely scratch the surface,
offering just a glimpse of the men and women behind the wheel.
The discovery of vanished Motocross sensation Jayson Hamilton,
who has been right under our noses for years, proves secrets abound.
It’s time to dig deep. Look beyond the racetrack at the drivers who continue to pique our interest. In addition to scoring an exclusive, all-access interview with the elusive Jayson Hamilton (his first and only since the death of his fellow racer and partner Matt Lewis),
we’ve caught up with some of our most popular featured men and women in the racing world.
Where are they now?
Who are they now?
What do these hot commodities do when they escape the spotlight?
Rumors of weddings, babies, and new tattoos swirl through the media on a weekly basis.
And though we’re headlining the hashtag #Finishline, we’re far from finished.
In fact, we’re just getting started.

This book is the finish line of GearShark series, and it's mostly about Hopper & Arrow and Lorhaven & Joey’s HEA. Hopper and Arrow still are my fav couple in the series. In this book, Arrow isn’t shy anymore and I’m glad I saw his possessive and protective side! I’m glad these two broken finally got their HEA, love them so much! Told in multiple POV, 1st person. It’s the fifth and the last (I think! Unless Trent & Drew change their mind) installment in the "GearShark" series. It’s well-written and a bit slow (but in a good way). I think it’s better if you read it in order (start with book three, at least). I'll miss them! I really enjoyed it and hope you like it as well!

4.5 Stars (5 full stars for Arrow & Hopper/4 solid stars for Jace & Joey)

This is (what I like to think of as) the double wedding edition of the GearShark series. It’s all extreme romance and perfected happily ever afters for this lot, which I can promise you, isn’t a bad thing!

The majority of the story (like 70%) follows Arrow and Hopper, a few months after the events that took place in #Blur, as their relationship evolves from boyfriends, to fiancés, to husbands. It’s all deeply romantic and swoon-worthy, with just a dash of emotional drama on the side, as Hopper’s past is discovered by the press, and he, and subsequently his relationship with Arrow, become a hot topic of public scrutiny.

I absolutely adore Arrow and Hopper, so reading a sequel mostly dedicated to achieving their ultimate happy ever after was no hardship on my part. They’ve each been through so much emotional turmoil in their young lives, but the happiness and peace they’ve found with each other truly is inspiring. I laughed and I cried, and most importantly, my heart just felt fuller from the experience of reading about these two some more.

...and did I mention it was hot!? Like, hot, hot! Definitely the steamiest book I’ve read by Hebert yet.

Then, after all the sexy and heart-warming stuff happened for Arrow and Hopper, Jace and Joey get a slice of the action, with Jace finding his right moment to make Joey officially his, finally putting a ring on it in what was another wonderfully memorable and romantic scene.

As lovely as Jace and Joey’s chapters were, I was still mostly here for the Arrow and Hopper moments, with the final portion of the story reading a little (just a little) slower and less emotionally affecting than the first part.

Ultimately, this was a lovely and welcomed addition to a series that has continually been an absolute joy to read.

4.5+stars.png (1271×246):

I was so happy when I found out, that there was gonna be another book in the "Gearshark" series. This is the fifth book and a continuation of Arrow and Hopper's relationship, as well as Joey and Lorhaven's. I know that it has been said that book 3 and 4 should be read before this one, but I don't agree with that statement. So for those of you who only read MM and have skipped book 3, don't worry, you can still read this one withour getting confused. Do make sure to read book 4 though !! If you haven't..you should do it right now !!

giphy.gif (615×346)

I think Arrow and Hopper cover about 70% of this book, then the story switches to Joey and Lorhaven and their POV. I myself did read all the books in this series and I loved getting a bit more Joey and Lorhaven. Their HEA was very sweet and for those of you who want to know....yes there is a detailed sex-scene. If this really bothers you, just skip this part, but don't skip this book, because then you will miss out on Hopper and Arrows very deserved HEA.

I don't want to go into to many details of what this book is about. So I will be keeping my review a bit vague.

We already know from the last book, that Hopper and Arrow found true love with one another. They didn't have it easy and the previous book had me crying out loud. This was not the case with this book. I read most of it, with a huge smile on my face.

54474-Jim-Carrey-happy-smile-gif-g6IP.gif (356×272)

Would this have been their first book, I might have found it a bit too sweet, but damn these boys deserved some freaking sweetness together !! I really think this book took away some of the pain I went through with book 4. They needed it...and I needed it as well ;)

There are no big dramas in this one. To me, even though there were some hard parts for Hopper, was a total "feel good" book.

Damn-it-feels-good.gif (400×224)

These two really belong together and I am so excited about their HEA

As far as the rest of the book goes...I loved it. I loved Joey and Lorhaven and I seriously loved their little epilogue...It also made me laugh my ass off !! Lorhaven really is the best..and the most growly and protective !!

20134296.gif (500×210)

I hate saying goodbye to this series, but I will be keeping my eye on this author. I loved the "Hashtag" series and I loved "Gearshark", so I am pretty sure that whatever comes next...I will end up loving it !!!

For so many years, I thought I wasn't good enough, that happiness was for people who lived by the rules society dictated.

I was wrong. Happiness was attainable for anyone who had enough courage to reach for it.

Even - or rather especially - for two broken souls like Hopper and Arrow...

This was a cute, sexy and romantic as f*ck journey to get these two guys their more than well-deserved HEA.

Okay, you've met me, right? So you know I'm a drama-queen and angst-junkie at heart and since this was drama-light and (almost) angst-free, it didn't quite reach the 5 stars #Blur got from me, but I still loved it to bits.

I have to admit I more or less skimmed over the Joey and Lorhaven part, since m/f is not my jam anymore and I've skipped their own book entirely, but what I've read still put a smile on my face because a grumps like Lorhaven will always do that to me. ;-) I'm sooo ready for #Fate now! Umm, at least I hope so... :)

Audio re-read
5 Stars for the audio!

Oliver Clarke is a new to me narrator and I loved his performance and that voice...GAH! ❤❤ Granted there was very little distinction given for Hopp and Arrow's voices...BUT Oliver Clarke's emotional performance definitely enhanced everything I loved about this story: the romance, the love, the possessiveness, the protectiveness, the steam...totally goosebump inducing 😍❤

4 stars because the entire book isn't Hopp and Arrow’s story
Hopp and Arrow’s story 5 stars (but it was only 70% of the book).
No real interest in Jace and Joey’s story that’s why I skipped that book in the series. I enjoyed them as secondary characters only.

4 Stars!

After ending #Blur I was happy to move on to this one so I could find out how Hopper and Arrow's relationship developed and played out. I was pleased with the outcome. There was still some struggle to emotionally get there for them both. But once they did, it was pure bliss. I really like them together. I like how they are able to bring each other out of their darkness into the light that they are for each other. After how heavy the last book was for these two it was a relief to see so many happy moments happen between them.

The parts with Joey and Jace were OK. I didn't care for them in the previous books and I passed on their book. I don't feel like I missed out on anything because I still feel like they are characters that are better on the side then they are for the main course.

I was hugely disappointed that I didn't get more Trent and Drew in this book. That little bit at the end was unsatisfying. I want them to have another book. I don't need a marriage book or one of them having babies. I just NEED another book of just them. Anyone else with me on this? LOL

Happy reading dolls! xx

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*Cliché & Boring*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

I was actually highly disappointed. The only reason I read book three to this one was because I wanted more Andrew ‘Drew’ Wayne Forrester and Trent ‘T’ Mask, and what I got? Barely a scratch. Seriously, in this book we got like SMALL scenes with them. That was all. This bothered me because Dylan ‘Arrow’ ‘A’ Ambrose and Jayson ‘Jay’ ‘Hopper' ‘Hopp’ Hamilton kinda bored me in this book. Sure, they were cute and there was some more healing to do for Hopper, but they were quite cliché with their ‘I love you’'s and ‘babe’. Josephine ‘Joey’ ‘Josie’ Gamble and Jace ‘Lor’ Lorhaven bored me even more. I'm not such a fan of Lorhaven, to be honest and their book (#3) bored me. Since I got so damn little of Trent and Drew, I'm actually considering re-reading their two books... I seriously hope Cambria Hebert decides to give us a more closure for the two.
Happiness was attainable for anyone who had enough courage to reach for it. Just because I had to reach further than some only made it that much more appreciated. Today, in this moment, I was wrapping both hands around my happiness, grabbing it tight.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (New Adult) Contemporary Romance (M/M & M/F).
Series: - Series, Book Five.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Andrew ‘Drew’ Wayne Forrester.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Yes.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Yes, the first two.
Will I read this again in the future? - No.
Rating - 2 stars.

Genre: M/M Romance

#Finishline is the final (maybe) book in the #Gearshark series. It is an M/M romance and is the continuation of #Blur by Cambria Hebert. For those who are unfamiliar with the series, I recommend reading them all in order as characters from previous books do play a role in each one. With that being said, this is a fantastic novel! I am so glad I read the series but and so sad to see that it is over (unless we get a Trent and Drew wedding story. GAH!). Why? Because this is one of my favorite series EVER and Cambria Hebert is one of my favorite authors. Her stories are down to earth and real. They are not filled with sex but rather, filled with the kind of hope and love that we all wish to have in our lives. Her characters easily become friends of ours as well as they are easy to connect with on a deep level. Writing style and books like these don't come to us every day, but when Camrbia releases a new book, I know we are going to get all of this and more. If you have not read a book by the author I would definitely recommend them to you. You can start with this series if you are into male/male relationships OR start with the #Hashtag series which features a traditional M/F romance series and sports. Either way, I can only imagine (and hope) that you will love her work just as much as I do.

Now, I don't want to spoil the plot of this book because it simply needs to be read to gain all the feels and swoon, but I will say that you can expect marriage, babies, and an intense love like no other. Arrow and Hopper (the heroes of the story) are amazing characters and seeing their love blossom after so much adversity in their lives is inspiring. Not only this, readers will get a recap of Lorhaven and Joey's lives and what becomes of them. Their story is #Swag.

Does this book grab your attention yet? I hope so! It's such a wonderful book and I can highly recommend it to all readers (well, the entire series). So grab you copy and enjoy!

Arrow and Hopper are by far my favourite couple in this series. While I enjoyed Drew and Trent's story, I didn't really feel emotionally connected to either character, whereas Arrow and Hopper have made me cry so much over the last two books.

There's still definitely way to many OTT parts in these books which I usually hate because I prefer more realism, but these characters are really engaging and I enjoyed the conclusion to this couple.

I'm looking forward to returning to Drew and Trent in the next book and hoping I can get as good a connection to their emotions in that story as I have had in Blur and Finish Line with Arrow and Hopper.

When I think of a Cambria Hebert's book, this is what pops to mind:

- feelings
- family
- thoughtful, protective heroes
- witty or/and meaningful dialogues
- amazing characterization
- tons of swoon

Sometimes, she adds a bit of heartbreak too, but not in #Finishline. This is the kind of book I define "happy-happy". It's basically a novel-long epilogue and I loved every single page of it.

The first 3/4 of the story are dedicated to Arrow and Hopper. Now, if you've read my review of #Blur, you know I liked those two, but that they didn't blow me away. They were both so fragile and careful not to hurt the other, and their love so was transcendent and innate, it was hard sometimes to relate or to understand their connection. Also, #Blur was a complete sob fest in the beginning.

#Finishline is the complete opposite. We see our two guys blissfully happy and yes, a plot twist forces them to confront with one of them's pasts, but they face it together.

Something I FLOVED was Arrow's jealousy. I love this kind of jealousy, not the a-holish kind, but the adorable kind when the other's reassurance is actually worth something. Seeing him struggle with Hopper's photo shoot endeared him to me even more. Arrow is a more confident character in #Finishline than he was in #Blur, his love for Hopper (and vice-versa) has strengthened him and I appreciated how in the first part of the book it wasn't him the one to need consolation, but Hopper. In #Blur, Hopper is portrayed as the stronger one, even though he's been subjected to such a cruel fate in the past. But here in #Blur, Arrow sometimes becomes his crutch against past's hurts and it went a long way in making me finally fall for these two amazing men.

The wedding brought tears to my eyes. Hebert did a wonderful job at conveying Hopper and Arrow's feelings during the ceremony. Portraying their love in an all-encompassing way. I even liked Hopper's initial admission regarding Matt, for how shocking. It was cathartic, truly, and it also gave way to happier, more positive chapters. So, yeah, this book totally satisfied me.

The thing is that Heber manages to make everything meaningful, from small actions meant to protect a loved one to the hot scenes, where love is still the primary drive and maybe, like in this case, it overshadows even the fears of the past. Nothing is included in the story just because. Every word, every dialogue is essential and poignant. There's never a dull moment when you wonder whether that section was necessary, because they're all fundamental show all the facets composing these amazing characters, to unveil them to us.

This was my favorite quote:
Happiness was attainable for anyone who had enough courage to reach for it. Just because I had to reach further than some only made it that much more appreciated.

My favorite part during Hopper and Arrow's section was when Trent tried to get a rise out of Hopper when reminding Arrow he'd once hit on Drew. Priceless.

About Joey and Jace... I adored their story so much. It was fantastic to see a-hole Jace nervous about the proposal, then completely brought to his knees by a wiggling, tiny, girl. This part was sooooo romantic and perfectly fit with the rest of the story.

Last, but not least, the interviews. I loved the fact that we got three interviews in this instalment and that we got to catch up with all the characters in the series. Trent and Drew will always be my favorites and I seriously need to re-read #Junkie and #Rev, but so far #Finishline was the perfect conclusion to at least Hopper and Arrow and Josie and Jace's stories.

This book is basically a happy ending for the characters and it upset me.

I mean, the author wrote a detailed happy ending for all couples except for the first / second book couple. She said their story was going to "maybe" be told in another book ... Like ... Pls ...

There was no denying that this book was cute, but if I had known that there was going to be no Drew and Trent I don't think I would have read it.

Wow, loved this book. It was amazing, Cambria you outdid yourself with this book.
I remember I wanted a little bit more from Arrow and Hopper's first book and Cambria not only listened but she managed to turn it into one of my favorite 2017 reads.

I have to say, as much as I love Josie and Lorhaven, Hopper and Arrow stole the book for me, I loved how beautiful their love shone and how beautiful everything was between them, I'm so happy for them, I can't even describe how much I love them.
Josie and Lorhaven were so sweet together, I was ecstatic to know more about them.

I always devour Cambria's book and this was such a special treat, I can't believe this is the end to this amazing series. *sniffs* I'll always have a special place in my heart for all the characters of #GearShark and I'll take them with me throughout my life.

Thank You, Cambria for this amazing characters and for an amazing journey.

If this is to be the last in the #Gearshark books it will be a nicely rounded conclusion which basically forms an extended epilogue for Lorhaven and Joey, as well as Arrow and Hopper.

It doesn't quite do the same for Drew and Trent and this is the only reason why I'm holding out that there may eventually be another one somewhere down the line.

I've thoroughly enjoyed each one of the books in this series, even the M/F one which sneaked in the middle.

And yet again I want to comment on these covers. I think the idea of having them look like the front page of the magazine have been inspired. Truly beautiful.

Saying that I enjoyed this book would be disingenuous. I didn’t enjoy this book or even really this series which is why I think I’m calling it quits now (I think) despite there only being one more book and a novella next.

This book was the wrap-up of two of the three couples in the book. The final book is the wrap-up of the other couple. The novella is a HEA, after-show thing. All of this would be fine if I liked any of the people or couples. My favorite ended up being Lorhaven. Joey (his significant other), was fine. Trent and Drew were, in my opinion, boring and Arrow and Hopper had so much potential to be interesting with their individual traumas. It just didn’t land for me. I don’t care for these characters and I’m ready to tap out.

I really enjoy Cambria Hebert as an author, I just don’t think this series is for me. The stakes don’t feel high enough, the drama seems to fade away, either discarded as trash or abandoned. These characters feel like faded paint to me.

So, I’m moving on, which is too bad because the next book and novella were part of my 24 for 24. I guess I’ll be missing that.

My favorite part of this book was the Lorhaven and Joey section. I just felt that the Arrow and Hopper was overkill. Too sweet, too possessive and too protective. There is absolutely no need to feel you have to protect your loved one from proven family and friends. It had me rolling my eyes a few times. I felt that from 50% on in the previous book there was zero angst and really nothing happened but a ton of sex and constant I love you's. I just liked the first three books so much more. This was a great series though, and I highly recommend it.

Both times, with both Trent and Drew and Arrow and Hopper, the second book on them, for me, wasn't quite as good as the first.

I think there are ways to have a couple stay happy and together and have some drama to liven the story up a bit. And I thought when the story came out that Hopper was also Jayson Hamilton, that that would be the big hurdle these two had to weave their way through throughout the novel. But it felt kinda...inconsequential, in the end? Like one minute, it was a big problem, and one asshole said something rude once (that we got to see on page) and then Hopper did the interview and then it was all over with. It felt a little anti-climatic for me.

But it didn't bother me too much, in the end, because I do love Arrow and Hopper together and they were just so devoted to each other, so sexy and hot together, so adorable. Yes, a little OTT (Hopper with his "If he dies, I die" kinda attitude? Like I know it's a "he can't go through that again" type deal but any of that type of deal in a relationship comes a little too close to codependency. So that made me weary) bUT, they were still a strong, solid couple who were always there for each other and actually TALKED about their issues (THANK FUCK! A couple who actually talks to each other! For once!) and didn't let things build until things got worse.

Part of this is the blurb for not actually giving an actual summary of the book, so I don't exactly blame the author, but I was nOT expecting it to switch from Arrow and Hopper to Joey and Lorhaven at the 70% mark. It totally threw me. And nothing against these two, but I haven't been in the mood for M/F in a long while, so I didn't read their book so didn't have much interest for their story cutting in randomly with what I thought would be a full Arrow/Hopper story. I skimmed the Joey/Lorhaven part and there were some cute parts, and it made me laugh how Lorhaven acted when their baby was born.

But I was like...at the 70% mark, turn the page and then WOAH, wHAT? Arrow/Hopper's story is over?? It frustrated me. Again, I wouldn't have minded if this had been included in the summery (this has been a problem with all the books. I can never tell who any of the characters (except for the main character whose on the cover of gearshark) or relationships will be or the plot will be until I read it because the blurbs never actually give us anything (or much) to go on.)

I'm sure most won't mind getting a snippet of Joey/Lorhaven, but not knowing about it? Threw me off and annoyed me.

But overall, this was a cute book, I liked it, I loved getting some extra sweetness with Arrow and Hopper, and a wrap up to their story and getting to see the start of their happily ever after.

“I loved him so goddamn much it almost seemed impossible.”

I'm so damn happy that there was more. That we got this book, because I think this is truly Hopper and Arrow's Happily Ever After. I think, anything that was missing for me in #Blur, which was those happy moments; just Arrow and Hopper moments, we got here plenty. And it makes me so happy.

I think we've seen both Arrow and Hopper go through hell so they deserved this book. They deserved to truly heal. Together. And get their Happily Ever After because they really do deserve it.

'We collided, lips latching instantly, fingers entwining.
As we kissed, we took turns spinning the rings around on each other’s finger.
“I’m tired of waiting,” Hopper growled, then attacked my lips again. When the kiss finally ended, I smiled. “It’s only been a week.”
“A week too long.”'

I love this whole cast of characters. They are brilliant.
I love Lorhaven's love hate relationship with just about everyone lol!! but especially when it comes to Trent and Drew. It's hilarious. He loves them really. I know it. But when it comes to both Arrow and Joey? And his unconditional, unbreakable, fierce love and loyalty for those two just hits me right in the feels. Big time, and seeing him brought to his knees by his own Happily Ever After? Amazing! I'm actually surprised just how much I loved his and Joey's section at the end. It was so lovely, heart warming and just as emotional as Hopper and Arrow's story. Especially with Joey and making some friends with other girls at the end there, it was pretty feely. But I loved seeing her vulnerable side and seeing her grow, letting herself grow and not be pinned down by her fears of proving herself.
This whole group of people is brilliant. Friends who became permanent family. Love and laughter all around.

'“I think you can stop giving me shit now, Trent. It’s pretty clear I’m not gonna hurt him.”
Trent chuckled. “Couldn’t resist.”
I gazed at Hopp, wondering what he meant. Hopper shrugged one shoulder. “He offered to break my neck if I hurt you.”
“Keep doing shit like that, Trent, and I just might end up liking you after all,” Lorhaven drawled.'

Arrow getting growly and possessive and jealous was just one of the best things in this book. Omg it's awesome Lol. Really it is. When either of them get that way because it comes from their fierce love for one another. It's not in a OTT Asshole way. It's really not. It's cute, hilarious and always leaves me with a huge smile. It comes across as real and believable and that just makes me love it even more.

I really don't know what more to say about this book other than it just made me so happy. I believed the happiness. I won't be left with any doubt. I won't be left wondering if Arrow and Hopper will make it as a couple, I'm glad Cambria have them this book. I'm sad that it's over because this series has been a joy. These friends that became family, falling in love and getting through their struggles in life was just great to be apart of. But I think Hebert done a great job of tieing up each story. I think each couple is exactly where they're supposed to be, for now. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I hope this isn't the last MM we'll see from Cambria Hebert.

What a pleasant surprise this book was! I mean, I thought Hopper and Arrow's story ended in #blur, but I must say that I'm glad that Cambria Hebert snuck this in. I totally enjoyed this book, this whole series actually! Loved it!

4.5 Stars!
I can't get enough of the GearShark Series and it seems neither can Cambria Hebert. #FinishLine is the surprise fifth installation (and hopefully not the last), and tells Hopper's story. Not surprisingly, I love it!

#Blur was very emotional and filled with angst. It showed Arrow and Hopper's struggle for their HEA.
#FinishLine is joyful and romantic and filled with hope and family. It is the ending I was craving for Arrow and Hopper.
The last 30% of the book also gives you an update on Joey and Lorhaven. Again, a wonderful story filled with surprises.

This is a fun book to read. There are lots of surprises along the way that keep things interesting, and I loved getting a glimpse of everyone's life -especially since I thought the series was over! The new developments make my romantic heart swoon (I can't stop smiling!).
#FinishLine is a great addition to the GearShark Series.
Highly recommend.

* 4 wedding bells stars *

And I made it to the #FinishLine, book five in GearShark series - another Hopper & Arrow's story with little bonus of Lorhaven & Joey + even smaller part of #Trew and # squad!
Other books in series:
1. #Junkie: review.
2. #Rev: review.
3. #Swag: review.
4. #Blur: review.
NOTE: The books have to be read in order! You get the cookie points if you read # series first!

I'm not going to dwell too much on this one.

It was a fun read. As you can see from blurb this book is all about weddings, babies, and tattoos.
I still think everything is a little bit to hurried in Arrow & Hopper relationship, but well. I'm glad they crossed their finish line and got their happy ending.

There was a little bit of drama, with Hopper's identity being figured out by the media, but nothing major. Mostly story was concentrated on how they are being happy after everything they've been through and I'm okay with that. Another thing I was glad to hear was that Matt's killers did actually pay for what they did (after book and a half if I may add!). It was the question that was left open after finishing with #Blur.

I have to admit, I liked more Lorhaven&Josei proposal (and everything after that!), but both weddings were really sweet and romantic. I guess partly it's also because I connected more with Drew & Trent, Josei & Jace, then with Hopper & Arrow.

Oh, I almost forgot about Ron Gamble! That guy's so funny. I like his happy end the most. He wasn't always perfect, but he did his best. He made up for his mistakes and opened his heart and home to people who needed him the most.

The best part was seeing # squad again and hearing a little bit about their lives in bonus interview Drew and Trent did with GearShark magazine.

Do you think those two will ever tie the knot? Maybe adopt some kids? I like to think they'd do it somewhere down the road.

All in all, #FinishLine was a good epilog to GearShark series. I'm going to miss them all!

What am I suppose to do with my life now?

“I’m going to love you forever, A,” he vowed. “I think I may love you longer.”

Damn it y’all, it’s over. I have finished the series and feel like my left arm has been cut off.

Hopper and Arrow were something out of fairy tales and I loved seeing them get their HEA after both having such emotional pasts.

The Joey and Lorhaven section was fun, and I enjoyed visiting them and seeing where they were at in their relationship after we left them in #swag.

I would of loved to of seen more of Trent and Drew but understand why we didn’t, especially after reading the authors note in the back.

It’s not often I binge read a series and then a spin off series and basically Love every single book but the author has captivated me and I just can’t wait to delve further into her back catalogue and see what other characters she has waiting for me.

4-4.5 stars!

Love isn’t conditional on death. It supersedes it. Love has no boundaries.

Seriously speaking, #Finishline was a book I didn't think I would need until I actually read it. I love Arrow and Hopper so much and a few days after reading it, this book was something that had to be written. I felt like if anyone deserved any happiness it was those two. 2/3 of the story is Arrow & Hopper's and the last part is Joey and Lorhaven's HEA.

I'm not going to give anything away. They made me swoon, cry, smile, and made me feel fuzzy things in my stomach. This series is going to be going down as one of my favorite M/M ever written.

If you've read Drew and Trent's book, they also make an appearance in the story. And of course, if you read #Blur (Arrow & Hopp) than you'll love this book!

My favorite quotes:

Arrow was the reason. He was my why.

**

“I’m keeping you right here with me.” I vowed, tugging him toward the house. “You’re my favorite place, Hopp,”

**

“You told me about your past,” I murmured, remembering how painful that night was but also how it had set me free.
“You told me about yours.”
I shifted just a little closer. “You love me in spite of it.”
“I’m going to love you forever, A,” he vowed.
“I think I may love you longer.”

*Purchased*

After reading #Blur I wanted, no I needed for Arrow and Hopper to have their happily ever after, to find that peace to allow them to both continue to heal and love each other. In #Finishline we get more of our favorite characters. We get Arrow and Hopper, Lorhaven and Joey and of course we can’t leave out Drew and Trent. I love how this series, like the #Hashtag series, continues with that sense of family, not just friendship but a true sense of family and by family I don’t just mean the blood related kind but the people you CHOOSE to be your family. Arrow and Hopper, hell if I am to be honest, all have had that need for family and it is that family who not only will love you, but will protect you as well.

Hopper’s identity has been figured out; we get more into a glimpse of his past pain of loss, heartbreak and loss. I was worried that maybe it would cause him to pull away from Arrow but I shouldn’t have worried. Hopper’s love for Arrow is beautiful, strong and unwavering. Same for Arrow towards Hopper. My heart hurt more than once for Arrow because he was hurting, not because of all the attention on Hopper and his past but because he loves Hopper so deeply knowing that there was someone before him stings at times as I think it might for anyone especially with the circumstances around it.

I cried again with #Finishline. I cried for the characters that I love, I cried out of happiness and sadness. I cried because I hold all of these characters close to my heart for so many reasons. If Ms. Hebert wrote fifty more books for this series I would read them and do you know why? I would read them because this entire series has been a solid 5 stars for all of the books. I would read them because she writes characters that become a part of you, that you can’t help but love and ones that you feel as if they really are a part of your lives.

#Finishline I already know will be one of my top reads for 2017 I already know. This is one book and one series that needs to be added to your TBR lists immediately but be prepared when you start to read because you will not want to stop and will want to devour all of the books. Ms. Hebert my love for Drew, Trent, Lorhaven, Joey, Arrow and Hopper is still strong and always will be.

5 STARS!

Arrow and Hopper... They're definitely my favourites. They're so sweet, so sensitive, so strong and lovely. They're also amazing, wonderful, cute and really, really incredible.... I can tell about them like this for eternity. I just love the way they love each other. Their love is so pure, so flawless that I almost can't stand it, because I'm goddamned jealous. I'm also sad that I have to say them a fucking goodbye.

3.5 stars -- I think I might have enjoyed this one a bit more if I'd had dedicated time to read it, instead of it being broken up in little pieces whenever I had time in between other stuff going on in my life.

That being said, remember how I LOVED #Bae because it was so much more than *just* a huge epilogue??  Well, this one is basically just a huge epilogue.  I kept waiting for twists and turns and more character development, and I really didn't get it.  We did get a few answers about Hopper's past, but in general I felt underwhelmed...like I wanted more.

And honestly, while I love Hopper and Arrow together, things got a bit overdramatic in their relationship...over the top declarations and stuff like that.  And I couldn't help but be a bit uncomfortable with the co-dependency that was their relationship.  In some ways I can see how these two damaged characters might form that kind of relationship, but it's not my favourite, if that makes sense.

Now, it was not all over the top and crazy, don't get me wrong.  If it was, I wouldn't be rounding up.  I do LOVE epilogues, so it was super fun to see them together, loving each other, putting each other first, and actually getting to see the happily ever after.  I loved Hopper and Jace's conversation near the beginning, I loved the proposal, I loved Arrow's surprise for Hopper in Las Vegas...well surprises (honeymoon too).  I loved the wedding.

I do remember seeing people mention that this was not just an Arrow/Hopper story, so I wasn't completely taken by surprise when their story finished at 70%...I kind of still wanted more, but I was satisfied.  And I do remember people mentioning that there is no more Trent and Drew story (though they do have cameos), so I wasn't surprised about that either (though there was a tiny piece of my heart that held out hope for some reason).

And I actually enjoyed Josie and Jace's extra bit of story.  I thought they had a bit more to say, and I actually almost got more out of their story than I was expecting.  Though their little bit of conflict was resolved fairly quickly in the end, but I still appreciated that we got to see them hit a stumbling block.  I loved the proposal, I loved Jace's conversation with Josie's Dad and the way it played out after that, I LOVED the wedding (and seeing Josie get some girlfriends in Rimmel and Ivy, Trent's da bomb), and I thought that the hospital scene at the end was hilarious and a perfect end to their story.

So yeah.  I enjoyed it.  Just not as much as I was hoping to.  Trent and Drew remain my faves, but I'm glad that Ms. Hebert didn't just slap something together for them just because fans were asking.  I hope she gets inspired, but I will wait for gold if it comes, and be satisfied if this is all I get if inspiration doesn't strike.

4.5-5 stars

It feels so good and so bad to finally finish this series. I can honestly say I loved most, if not all of it, and I totally fell in love with all of the characters, I got to care so much about them and their relationships I was honestly so sad I finished this but so happy with how they all ended up. Plus, I adored the whole theme of this book, I was dreading its ending! It had that whole out-of-this-world romance and sweetness that makes me totally weak. This book (and series) made me so happy I’ll probably reread the whole thing. The only thing I can complain about is I wish there would have been more Drew and Trey.

So #finishline was an unexpected surprise, one I hugely welcomed. Cambria Hebert kept this under wraps for a while and didn't give us much warning, which I love, I'm glad I didn't have to wait too long to read gearsharks final piece. (Apparently, although maybe more Trent and Drew at some point, when the time is right)
The whole book is basically an epilogue, for Arrow and Hopper and for Joey and Jace. It isn't angsty and It doesn't have huge amounts of plot. What it is is perfect, and fun, and a great way to wrap up the rollercoaster rides that came before it.
I recommend reading it to anyone who loved the previous books, especially #blur, it's a lovely way to spend a lazy few hours and remember the amazing characters CH has given us. Plus, who doesn't love a HEA.
