UPDATE Yes, I love this world so much that when I finally made it through my massive amounts of email and noticed new releases... I had to start from the beginning. As a woman, I love these alpha in control men that will do anything to protect their families and the women they love. But I also love these strong woman who stand beside their men, not behind!
We'll what can I say, Blue Saffire has done it again. I am hooked on all the series. I will be reading this series over again. I can wait to know how she will Sam and Monique aka Tasha through all the pain and find love. I also want to know more about Logan and Camille
Can’t put it down, even with extreme editing issues
I really enjoy the story lines that weave in and out of these series. The plots are smart and engaging and the characters are ones that you come to care about the more read. I have not been able to stop reading through this series. If I based this review in editing, it would probably get 2 stars but it really is engaging so I let all of that slide and gave it 4.
As with most self published books, there is a lack of editing but this may be one of the most egregious cases I have encountered. I think these books have been pretty successful and I would love if Blue would hire someone to go through and edit her books.
1. Perspective changes: Over time she has made some adjustments to how she changes character perspective so that it is clear to the reader whose perspective it is. Early on in the series she would just switch around to two or more characters on a page and it was hard to follow whose thoughts I was reading. 2. Grammar and word choice: This is probably the hardest to deal with. The author often uses words and phrases incorrectly and the books are riddled with typos. Which is unfortunate because I can see in the writing that she is an intelligent woman 3. Tighten up story lines a tiny bit. Some of the sex scenes are long without adding much to the story. This is particularly true for characters I don’t know well enough to care. Then clear up inconsistencies between the books and timing.
Blue provides an order to read the series so you can follow all the story lines. I think Ballers 1 is a little out of place given the age of some of the characters but it’s fine.
All I can say is that Ms. Blue. She and a few others restore my love and faith in bwwm romance novels. Just when I think I am done and have completely moved on to another genera, she steam rolls in like an superhero for novels and delivers and suspense filled, action packed, full of love novel. This woman, with three exception of the Yours Series, always delivers. And to be honest, by the middle of book 2, I liked Not Loved BUT Liked that sereis. I am sitting on the edge of my bed, upset about the fact that I gotta wait for book 5.5. Why, do you do this to us, Ms. Blue. The Legally Bound books I ran across by accident and I'm those books have been one the best literary mistakes I have ever made. I'm hooked like an addict and I'm also hooked on the Hush Series and Ballers and the Black Brothers, I love me some Black Brothers. Anyway, I loved this book. This book was great. I swear I loved Ellen but I hated her as well. I loved Sam but I'm gonna crave Lasalle. I cannot wait to see Locotti and Tasha finally get to have their happily ever after. It only took 8 yeas bc Ellen was selfish but she did come around in the end. I am so Not happy about the fact that I have to wait for 5.5. I WANT TO READ THAT BOOK NOW. I need to know how it all ends. I need to see how all of these stories come together. I need my next Legally Bound hit. All I can say to anyone who has not read this author....GET TO KNOW MS. BLUE. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. I give this book 5 stars and wish I could give it 10. That is how good this book and the rest of the series is to me. Anyway, I'm not gonna give away too much but I cannot wait for Tasha to meet the remaining twin. I will love to see her develop a relationship with her youngest sibling. Especially since Keisha is dead and her niece is now motherless. I hope Tasha and her family get a story. Even if it's a novella. They have confront their parents. I also hope Misha gets his own story soon. PLEASE LET HIM GET OVER HIS OBSESSION WITH TASHA AND PLEASE DON'T PUT HIM WITH THE TWIN OF KEISHA. HE NEEDS TO GET AWAY FROM THAT OBESSION. HE LIKES CHOCOLATE, SO PLEASE MAKE HIS LOVE INTEREST A BW, JUST NOT TASHA 2.0. Misha needs a love. Someone who gets his special brand of crazy. Bc he has become my favorite male character in these series. I love me some Black Brothers but I love and I'm in love with Misha's special brand of crazy. Also please make her older. Misha needs someone over the age of 30. Anyway, that's all I'm gonna say. I'm waiting for the rest of the books to come out and I'm highly anticipating Misha's story. Please do right by him. He needs it. Again, I highly recommend this book and almost any other book by this author. If you have not read a book by Ms. Blue you don't know what you've been missing. Until my next review, I'm out. To whomever is reading this, thank you for taking the time to read my review. I know there were probably some mistakes bc my mind moves faster than my fingers. However, I hope this review helped you make an informed decision regarding your purchase. I'm out.
Legally Bound 5.3: Misha Illegal Desires 3 stars Coming together... It's starting to come together but I have to say, these should've all been in one story. It's too much detail to break apart. Still feels incomplete and makes you want to be done with the read. The only reason I'm continuing is because I read the other series as a whole. SMH.
Legally Bound 5.4: Ellen Illegal Ties 4 stars She was a beast or a fool… Ellen was a beast for knowing the end and still being strong enough to let it play out and not do whatever she could to avoid it. I’m wondering just how the call to Nick is going to play out in this one. The one moment of sense she had with getting angry about her efforts going to waste made it seem like she was being a fool for not avoiding the outcome at all cost. I can’t wait for the next one.
This story threw me off completely. I see no reason for Tasha/ Monique to ever enter Sam & Ellen's life from the start. Tasha with Misha yes I see it, Ellen so willing to sacrifice her life so Sam & Monique could be together just wasn't necessary and what woman you know would do that. If Sam was meant to be with Tasha there was no need for Ellen or Misha in this story. All the mystical future storytelling Ellen should have known that Sammy saw her visions, which probably made him like he was. If All this was so that Sam could also have a black woman, it was a wasted story. I thought he & Ellen were fine together. This book had many typos & bad writing errors, a good or new copy writer would be useful.
Oh my what a awesome series that I have really enjoyed. They are must reads by this author. I'm a fan. It has strong and brave women. Men who fight pasts to reach for better futures. And of course their steamy connections. There are interesting twists in the story lines; which are fast paced, especially this series, but all them is just as good. so happy I have started binging this author. Each one here are all intriguing with suspenseful plots ending in a cliffhanger. Along with their sizzling hot passions it will keep you turning pages until the end. I enjoyed every moment of their relationships these are ones that I didn't put my Kindle down until I finished the story if are like myself you will enjoy it because are definitely cracking romances.
Ugh idk how to feel about this. What I do know is I HATE ELLEN, with a passion. Knowingly stealing another woman’s life while also being completely aware of the sadness you were bringing both parties is beyond cruel.
THEN to just “well I’m dying so I’m going to do all this so you can seamlessly replace me” my blood boiled.
This was unbelievably unfair to Tasha those were supposed to be her kids with the love of her life. Now she’s 31 and a virgin. I’m so tired of us getting the short end of the stick. I read books like this to escape reality. Not to watch us get picked second and forced to raise a thief’s kids.
Great work, the story telling is good only rating a 4 bc I hate the plot.
I'm at a loss for words. This book was sooooooo good. OMG, Sam, Ellen, Misha and Tasha, I can not wait for the next book in the series to find out what happens next. Blue really did it up this time. She was on point with this box set. She went into detail about the questions I had all along during this Legally Bound series. It was full of suspense and mystery that Blue revealed at just the right time. Those letters Ellen wrote to her loved ones were so heartfelt and had me crying. To me, that's the mark of a excellent writer, to be able to pull those same emotions from the reader. I can't wait for LB 5.5. Great job Blue!
I’m loving this series and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next. My favorite character is Misha! I love him and even though he won’t be with Tasha I really hope he gets his girl and she’s a badass and likable. As for Sam I never felt the attraction and love with him and Ellen. I knew they loved each other and I have to say when Tasha was first introduced I wanted her and Sam to be together. This was way before I knew all of this would happen.
I’m excited for you Sam and Tasha’s story. I hope it’s as good as I imagine it in my head. Blue hasn’t disappointed me yet so I can’t wait to see how the loss of Ellen and Sam being the new Don will affect the family.
I think the best way to read this author is wait for a bookset....there are too many characters to try and keep track of their stories. This is priced appropriately because many of the books are simply novellas and by reading the bookset, one gets a good flow of the story and characters. Even if it is a bookset, it still ends on a cliffhanger, so be warned. That said, it is enjoyable story and I am curious as to what happens next.
Something’s up with Ellen Marettie. Something her husband and best friend have both tried to figure out. But Ellen’s not saying anything, so things will just have to play out as they’re meant to.
These novellas just introduced me to a bunch of characters that I want to read more about. The Misha/Kiesha/Tasha situation seems hella tricky, but I know Sam can work it out.
Grammatical errors and a good amount of eye-rolling aside, this was a good read.
Where to begin, this series has me all over. But in the best way. You pull it off every time. I've not just read once but I'll keeping reading over and over. Bring it blue! Seriously the way your mind works I'm in awe! Got me swearing and crying. Great read Best Damn Author! If you haven't got on the BlueCrack wagon I suggest you do. You wouldn't regret it! Thanks can't wait for more.
Wow oh wow. All these stories were so powerful. Out of all this I feel really bad for Sam Ellen and Tasha, Ellen knew Sam and Tasha were soulmates but she was selfish knowing she was living on borrowed time. Poor little Sammy has the gift of sight also so knew that his mother time was coming. Hope Mischa finds his soulmate because it is not Tasha. Now I am going to read 5.5. Hope it is as good as the others.
Get answers! For anyone with questions after reading the Black Brothers and all the other spin-offs, here it is. You’ll be on the edge of your seats but you find out stuff, Like what’s Sam and Ellen’s story? What’s really is wrong with Sammy? How does Remi and Ramses fit into this? What’s Misha’s story? Who the heck is Mo? Action packed and steamy.
Sam, Tasha and Misha! A perfect storm waiting to happen. Tasha's past teenage antics are coming back to bite her in the arsenal! With all the visions Ellen was having, why didn't she see Misha in the equation? She's so stressed about Clive when she needs to be worried about Misha! Blue Saffire has knocked it out of the park as always! I know 5.5 will be white hot!
These novellas are very intrinsic. Each separate parts help to visualize the whole picture. Misha and Ellen's story answered some questions while opening up many more. I can't wait to see how it all plays out in LB 5.5 Sam's story... the completed version. I definitely recommend this series.
I really do wish I am able to walk in the mind of Blue Saffire, the way she weaves and intertwine her characters and manage to keep up with key details, is impressive and mind-blowing....this has my heart pumping so damn fast, I have to tell myself to breathe....must read in order for best experience. Trust me, it's worth it.
I love Blu... her characters...stories... love... but this is just too much. The same story told over and over again by each character and participant in the tragedy... but not pushing the story forward was just agony and not in the best way. I do love these characters and the story but just too drawn out.
Just WOW! It hurt that Ellen had to be sacrificed for Sam and Monique to be together. It wasn't fair for her to not be able to live even for her children. I know some have to die, but why Ellen? Never mind her seeing it in her vision. Surely it could have had a better outcome for her. 😥. I still love reading about the Market ties and everyone involved with them.
This box set was so amazing. It shows you how everything begins. How Sam met Ellen and Tasha. The paths and choices that where made and also the outcome and consequences of those choices. It reveals the parts Misha and Camille played and plays in the lives of Sam, Ellen and Tasha's lives and the transformation of Sam Mairettie to LaSalle Locatelli. ❤❤
I had no intention on re-reading this book. I was only going to read some of my favorite scenes, but this book, like the whole series sucked me back in. I read this book like it was my first time. Now, I am going to re-read the final book in this series. If you haven't read the Legally Bound series you are in for rollercoaster ride.
I don’t even no where to begin. This book is amazing. It had so many different levels. Levels that range from excitement, drama, mystery, deception, scared, ups and down. Of all the Legally Bound books, Sam/LaSalle had to be one of my favorite characters. I couldn’t put the book down.👏🏽
I totally was not expecting this, you had me bawling like a baby. I was listening to it well, what I mean is the reading of Elena throughout the whole series I didn’t think she saw her death. It took me a minute to realize what was going on. But I didn’t see it coming like that. I mean, I cannot wait to see how all this ends with Misha, Tasha, and Sam.
I didn't read Blue's books in the order she suggested because I didn't know at the time. I have read them out of sequence but I love how she makes it easy to remember characters from other series/stories. The surprise for me was Sam Mairettie. He was the quiet brother in the background of Bobby and Marcus stories, he definitely fooled me.
Another great read! I hope Sam and Monique can finish out the vision that Ellen saw before she died. I think they will make an amazing couple!! So much happened in this book, and I hope everyone can come to terms with the visions Ellen did have. Ahh! On to the last book in this amazing series!!! I hopefully it all pulls together and ends well!
That's what comes to mind every time a Sam 5.something comes out. I am so glad Blue put them altogether to be read like a longer book. Whew...here we go Sam. So good...
I want to stop reading after this story. It is so sad how this ended. My heart is breaking for this family. All in all it was a good read but could have been put into one book. Moving on to the next.
Hopefully, the full stories of the characters such as Misha, Camille, Logan, Brooklyn, DJ, Thomas, and ....... will have a full story because the snippet provided makes you thirst for the full story (looking forward to more drama)
Wow, just wow. These stories are so awesome. Are we getting ready to see the 100% LaSalle? I feel Sam Mariettie has been pushed to the background. What lies ahead with Mischa. So many questions. I'm not sure of my feelings towards Ellen yet.
