In "ENGAGE: How to Know God", Justin Jones lays out a case that only in knowing God can we be fully satisfied in this life and the next. Whether you are a skeptic, an apathetic wanderer, or someone who would already claim to know God, you will find something to identify with in this book that seeks to detail the process of how we know God. Justin acknowledges there are honest heartfelt questions that we wrestle with and gives clear illustrations to demonstrate the truth of God in an understandable way. He argues there are six heart transformations that must happen in our lives if we are to know God fully. It is only when we are willing to engage in this process of knowing God that we can find true peace, hope, and meaning.
Justin Jones is our Spiritual Formation Pastor @ EHWC and I just finished his second book. The first book was titled Seed Life and we read it as a small group interacting to each chapter. This book also follows up with a small group, however, I read this on my own first and will review again with group meetings. Ever since I joined Eastern Hills, I have been on a Faith journey and know that discovering God is the most rewarding relationship I could have. It was difficult to surrender complete control, but I ask for help every step of the way. I can’t tell you how transformative this experience is - you just have to discover it for yourself.
