Wonderful array of stories in the book. Even more wonderful is the cause. There is a little something for everyone. I enjoyed each and every story. I voluntarily reviewed this book and was not compensated in any way.
What a fun anthology all centered around redheads, and for such a great cause, The Children’s Cancer Research Fund. Each story has its own spin and unique to that author. The book is a great way to enjoy authors you are already accustomed to reading and meeting new authors that are sure to become favorites. Where else can you get thirteen stories for less than twenty-five cents each and support a worthy cause?
REDHEADS HAVE MORE FUN by Sharon Kleve Genre: Contemporary Romance
I’VE ALWAYS HAD A HEFTY RESPECT FOR THE UNKNOWN What a fun tale in the bayou of New Orleans. When Ambrosine Dubreauil returns to take over her late grandmother’s shop, Who Do Voodoo, she will meet the sexy Remy LaCroix. Remy will come in to get something to ward off poachers, and this will be the beginning of a relationship. With all of Sharon’s stories, there are animals, including a hound named Beetles. Maybe these two will find their own special magic with a happily ever after ending. Favorite line from Remy to Ambrosine about a gris-gris bag: “My gators don’t like necklaces.”
REDHEAD DEAD by Jennifer Conner Genre: Romantic Suspense
GUNS? POISON? DEAD BODIES? The story is a nice murder mystery that will bring two unlikely characters together as they solve this case. What starts as a night at a club, will leave one lab tech dead, and one Plant Scientist is fleeing for her life. Throw in an undercover DEA agent, and it becomes a matter of life and death for both of them. Has his cover been blown? These two will end up in a safe-house until more answers can be obtained. “Being afraid doesn’t make you weak. It makes you human.” “You never know what kind of action and adventure you’re going to end up with. Look at my track record. We’re a wild, unpredictable bunch.”
MOONLIGHT SERENADE by Chris Karlsen Genre: Historical Romance
THE INDESTRUCTIBLE MARINE What an amazing story that starts in the present day, then will transport the reader back to 1945 and World War II. This is a love story, or two. Ron Day, along with others are on a three day R&R in Australia, where Ron will meet a singer, Charmaine Sturgis, and in three days, fall in love and convince her to come to Chicago at the end of the war. “I think anyone who puts a time clock on love is a fool. The human heart operates independent of logic and explanation.” As with any war, there is so much loss. “War steals something or someone from everyone.” This story pulls the heart strings, has its ups and downs and a surprise ending.
REVEALED by Angela Ford Genre: Mystery
OH, LIVE A LITTLE The story has mystery, suspense, covert operations, loss, and finding that one special person again. For CIA agent RED, Maya Delcort, this assignment will help take down a criminal element. Her one contact, BLUE, not someone she has met, but only via messages. Even if it means seducing and bedding the enemy, Quinn O’Neill. “She hadn’t sinned, she simply enjoyed part of her assignment.” What happens when the one man she loved comes back into her life? How will that work with her position in the CIA? “True love does exist, trust me on that one.”

THERE ARE DIFFERENT GENRES IN CODE REDHEAD. THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE TO READ. I ENJOYED EACH AND EVERY STORY. ALL STORIES ARE UNIQUE AND REALLY GOOD. YOU WILL DEFINITELY WANT TO READ EVERY STORY. I KNOW I DID.

CANCER HAS TOUCHED SO MANY PEOPLE'S LIVES AND IT SO IMPORTANT WE DISCOVER A CURE REAL SOON SO WE STOP LOSING OUR LOVED ONES.
I really enjoyed this collection of stories in different romance genres. They were well-written and kept me involved from start to finish. Tina Donahue has long been a favorite author of mine, and her story was excellent as always. The other authors were new to me, so I was very pleasantly surprised to like them all. I highly recommend this book, and it also helps a great cause!
Code Redhead – A Serial Novel is a great little collection. If the cause to raise money for childhood cancer isn’t enough, the stories should make you wat to buy… Each story highlights a redhead, and all are done in the varies authors’, unique styles. A few of my favorite are mentioned below. In Redhead Dead, author Jennifer Conner takes the reader on another story of romance and intrigue. Marked with great feeling, twists, and turns, the romance reader will most definitely be happily fulfilled. Sharon Kleve’s Redheads Have More Fun, mixes protecting family business and unexpected love, all in an unorthodox manner. Set in New Orleans, this voodoo, love caper is bound to make any reader smile. Save the Prince; save the King; and save the reds. In doing so, Red Sarah may just save herself, who knows, but what might be the cost? Moving from modern day wisecrackery, to a time of romance, long ago, Carol Ann Kauffman’s tale is filled with majesty and bravery. This time travel story is a gift for all. JR Wirth’s Day of the Dead is not quite so romantic. It is, however, a smart thriller that requires the reader to pay attention, as two teens try to find their friend, Cali, who appears to be abducted on Halloween, by a new, diabolical guy in town, known simply as Red. The taking of Cali seems to be connected to a string of ritualistic killings occurring on the Day of the Dead. Filled with hidden clues to the psychopathic killer(s), it is a fun read that won’t be resolved until the final word of the final sentence.
Code Redhead is a serial novel (a collection of different stories around a theme). This is a collection of all different genres. It's an interesting project for a great cause. My faves were the erotic romance and the science fiction romance. The erotic romance reminded me of Alexa Riley's "Stealing Christmas." "Rituals" was probably my favorite story and it was a very interesting concept.
So many great reads from so many great authors. There is a little something for everyone in this read. I loved the stories and the characters as well as the romance.
This is a collection of 16 short stories ranging in all different genres and lots of fun going to a great cause!
1) Redheads Have More fun by Sharon Kleve
Ambrosine Dubreauil owns the store Who Do Vodoo and is able to perform spells though not as well as her grandma, Priestess Lorelei. When Remy LaCroix comes in looking for help with a spell that will help protect his gator farm from poachers will he get more than he came in for?
This was a fun story that contained some mystery with Ambrosine's store is broken into that linked the two together. Ambrosine and Remy definitely had attraction to each other with and neither was looking for love!
2) Redhead Dead by Jennifer Conner
Matthew Coleman, an undercover DEA agent, decides to take a night off and when he buys a drink for a beautiful lady named Aiven things go off the rail. Has Matthew's cover been compromised?
This was a fun and mysterious book as I liked the twists and turns in this story that I wasn't expecting. I also loved how Aiven knew something was off due to being the top in her field in plant chemical biology. Definitely not what I was expecting in a great way!
3) Moonlight Serenade by Chris Karlsen
This is a beautiful story about your first love. Ronald Day is 93 years old and a former marine who meets Charmaine Sturgis while serving.
This was definitely one of my favorite stories from this set as it was about love, moving on and finding peace and that second chance. I loved Ronald and he went through so much as a soldier to find love and then to try and get through everything that happened. I loved the second chance he got!
4) Mystery by Angela Ford
Maya Delcourt has just gone undercover for her first job as a CIA agent in Ireland. Her identity is unknown to everyone and her safety is monitored by another agent named Blue. When she discovers she has been compromised will she be able to get out in time?
I liked this story with Maya kicking some butt! I liked how everything tied together at the end and it looks like Maya may get what she has always wanted!
5) Reunited by Tammy Tate
Tara was engaged to Ryder when he disappears 2 months before their wedding. When their high school reunion brings them back face to face will they be able to resolve their issues? When an accident leaves Tara with no recollection of events will she give Ryder a chance?
I really liked this story as it was about listening to what your heart wants and learning the truth about what really happened all those years ago. I liked both Tara and Ryder and wanted to know what happened as I knew there had to be an explanation!
6) Red Hot by Tina Donahue
Eric Neal is an attorney who decides to go out to the 2Nite Club and there he meets Russell "Rusty" Shoborne. The two are complete opposites but sparks fly and in the morning Rusty is gone. Will Eric be able to find Rusty again or are they leading different lives?
This was a fun story about "lust" at first sight and a night of hot passion! I thought it was awesome where Eric found Rusty again and I definitely wasn't expecting that!
7) Red Sarah by Carol Ann Kauffman
Sarah has one job and that is to rescue Crown Prince Lucas of Mist from captivity in a dungeon. Yet everything is not as it seems and will Sarah be able to stop an upcoming war?
This was an interesting book about time travel and trying not to disrupt the time continuum. I liked Sarah and it was interesting on where her and Lucas ended up.
8) Day of the Dead by J.R. Wirth
Tomorrow is the Day of the Dead and there is much mystery about with girls going missing. When Cali disappears after going out with a guy named Red, her friend Sham Jones will do what he can to rescue her along with Cali's best friend Linda McNally. Yet all is not what it seems.
This book started off great but the ending completely confused me and I honestly can't tell you what all happened as I'm not sure of it myself. I think there were a few too many twists and turns that left me completely in the dark and unsure of what happened.
9) Right Said Red by J.M. Maurer
Makayla Reading is a meteorologist and is finally given her first assignment on the road with cameraman Eli Barringer. When the two stop at the wrong scene what will happen to the two of them and their jobs?
This was an interesting story about what is morally right and doing what is assigned to you. I liked the sexual tension between Makayla and Eli and I loved how Makayla did what was right even though she risked her job for it. I didn't like what happened to Eli!
10) Tender Echoes by Reilly Garrett
Lexi wants to do what she can to protect her friend Charlie who was stabbed by her pimp. Ethan McAllister is the cop working Charlie's case and wants to know who put Charlie into the hospital. Will Lexi be able to discover who is responsible for trying to kill Charlie before she becomes the next victim?
I thought this was a great story filled with mystery and a few scenes that leave you wondering whether or not Lexi is going to make it. I wish there was more between Lexi and Ethan as they would definitely work well together!
11) Rituals by N.D. Jones
Nevaeh is married to Jackson Glory. When he introduces a new ritual to their lives Nevaeh is not happy.
I found this story quick and not really that engaging. It was almost too "quick" and I definitely felt sorry for Nevaeh.
12) Sex on a Stick by Michelle Dare
Cadence Renshaw has a secret crush on Derek Langston, the CEO of the new company she works for. When the two are stuck in an elevator together sparks fly but will she be able to overcome the hesitation she has to get involved with her boss?
This story is full of sexual tension and I loved the debate that Cadence had whether she should cross the line with her boss. I loved how Derek rescued Cadence at the company party!

In London, England in 1882 Anthony Gregory has created a time machine. When he discovers that is has been used he asks his nephew, Stephen Longstreet, to guard the machine. When he meets Bridgetta Maguire and discovers what she is doing will he help her or turn her in?
This was another of my favorite stories as I loved what Bridgetta was doing with the machine! I loved her decision at the end although I was worried on where her and Stephen were going to end up!
14) Starlight Kisses by Sibelle Stone
In January 1885 in New York the new debutantes are out at the balls looking for husbands. Mitch Barclay is interested in Tatiana Langdon who is closely guarded by her Aunt Olivia. When Olivia refuses to let Tatiana have anything to do with Mitch they must work together to discover secrets of the past.

15) One Night in London by Kim Knight
Rita Lane is 35 and a receptionist at Park Hotel in London during the day but at night she has another job. When Richard Clarkson and Dan James come to the hotel for a business meeting nothing surprises them more to see Rita at her second job. Will Rita and Richard act on their attraction to one another?
This was a fun story and I loved the attraction between Richard and Rita. I loved what Rita left for Richard in his hotel room and how hot the scene was at Rita's second job! They definitely have an arrangement that suits their needs!
16) The Freedom Gene by Ella Medler
Burk and Doc Clarke are on the run with Arra after breaking her out of the lab where she was kept. Will they be able to get her out safe or will they be stopped?
This was a good quick story but definitely not long enough for me! I really want to know more about Dash Camp and whether they are truly safe! I loved Burk but really wanted to know more about Arra.
A fun collection of stories!! Here are my reviews for the stories I've read.
Redheads Have More Fun - Ambrosine is back to take over her grandmother's shop when Remy comes in to buy a potion. From there the fun begins and their romance! This is fun story and as with all of this author's books animals are a part of them.
Redhead Dead - A night out with a coworker leads Aiven meeting Coleman. When there's a death at the club the 2 go into hiding. Danger and romance and you'll never guess who done it!
Moonlight Serenade - What an emotional but wonderful read! Ron is being shown a movie set his great grandson is working on and is transported back in time to his first love.
Revealed - Maya is a CIA agent and after an assignment starts remembering the past that got her to where she is and the one she just finished. When she heads home she finally meets her contact in the CIA. She now finds out if you can find a lost love again.
Reunited - Tara sees Ryder for the first time in 10yrs since he broke her heart. When she's struck by lightening Tara looses her memories of him. When she gets it back will she finally find out what happened and will they have a 2nd chance at love?
Red-Hot - Eric finds himself at a club and isn't sure about staying there until her....Rusty. A night of passion and in the morning all that's left of her is a note with her number that's unreadable. When they meet up again will she give him a chance when she finds out what he does for a living?
Code Redhead is a fantastic collection of stories, by different authors, about redheads. There are stories of just about every genre, length, etc. I am sure any reader will find some story, and probably a lot, to enjoy while reading this book. I also liked the idea that the book proceeds help in a fund-raising project for The Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
I particularly enjoyed reading the stories about contemporary romance, suspense and mystery, but, if those are not your favorite genres, you will definitely find a lot of others represented in the book. The book was not terribly short, but moved along at a good pace, as is generally the case with numerous “short” stories, and, since they were short stories, I did not become tired of any. The redhead theme pulled them all together well, regardless how different they might have been. I guess, after reading this book, it is true that redheads do have more fun. I would definitely make this one of my next purchases. The stories are well written by some of the best-known, most beloved writers. In addition, the supporting The Children’s Cancer Research Fund only makes this purchase and read all the more enjoyable and beneficial. You can enjoy some time with each of the authors in these exceptional stories and, at the same time, feel good because you are supporting such a worthwhile cause. I received this from the author read and review.
Please pick up Code Redhead from your favorite retailer. All the proceeds go to a very good cause – The Children’s Cancer Research Fund. I know the devastation that a diagnoses can bring to a family, especially for a child. Cancer is a horrid disease that strikes all ages, but perhaps it’s most cruel for the children who are just beginning their journey in life.
Every story in Code Redhead follows the redhead theme in some fashion. Sure, there were some that I loved, others that I just liked, but I enjoyed them all for the simple fact that these authors are giving something that we can make a difference with. Buy it for the donation it will bring, buy it for the stories it will entertain you with. Simply buy this one – it will give you your “feel good” for the day.
Code Redhead is a Novel containing 13 short stories in various genres. Not all of them may be to your liking, but I found all of them interesting and well written. The authors brought their "A" game when writing the stories included in this book. It is a definite must read and with the proceeds going to Children's Cancer Research, everyone should pick up a copy. You may just find a new favorite author while helping children in need.
A great mix of authors, each with a different story and an individual voice. Plus the contributions towards an awesome cause. Don't think twice just get this anthology. It has something for everyone. Just buy it.
I received an Advanced Reader's Copy from the author for voluntary review consideration.
