Read this one yesterday. Pretty good for a quick short read. Both characters were likable.
I do wish it had been longer (as I always say) because I think more page time should have been given to Phillips past. You can't just throw out there that he has PTSD and depression and is going through a bad cycle and then just leave it sitting there IMO.
Overall though I enjoyed it.

The blurb isn't entirly right Chris didn't hire Scarlett himself she just fell into his meeting.
I didn't read the blurb before I started it so I had other expectations. Still it was a hot fun little read.
I don't want to spoil anything because it's so short I could spoil.
What I can spoil is there was a lot of blowing off steam.

Once again, this is one of the steamy novellas. Not much logic or a plot. Quite short, to me which is a relief, you don't have to worry about the insta-lust/love and timeline too much.
Hero was a jerk to begin with, but whatever he did at the beginning, he didn't follow thorugh, and the misunderstanding was because of his lack of communication, because clearly he forgot about the whole thing even though he was the one who kicked up so much fuss.
Heroine was pretty forward, this may be an issue to someone, but she didn't appear as slutty to me or desperate, just bold. To be honest the innuendo and the slight awkwardness around the proposition, was hilarious. I was like "are you both serious???" and as if they were like "ah well, since we were stupid enough to put in the open, might as well go with it!" LMAO!
I didn't mind it as a sick day read :)

This was a very quick, steamy & funny read.
In Penny's usual style her plots always amuse me and this one is did exactly that. Kara is a employee at the sex shop when sexy Jet walks in. And when he asks her to basically be his guinea pig with different toys of course she can't refuse right!
I'm a big fan of Penny's and have rest most of book but, I can honestly say so far her Pleasure Chest series has been my favorite. Lip Service was the first book, this is the second and I'm looking forward to more.

A short simple novella story. Not much character depth, though I did like Scarlet. I think this should have been longer to learn more about the characters. This is the third novella in the "A Pleasure Chest Story" that can be read on its own as no mention of other characters.There are better Penny Wylder books, but this was a decent read. An ARC was provided for an honest review.

Once again Penny has impressed me with her writing talent. I have so enjoyed her Pleasure Chest series. Her characters are fun and sexy and easy to fall in love with. I just wish they were longer but there are always more of her wonderful books to read.
Scarlett works for Ellison Media as an assistant but dreams of doing hands on marketing, just has not been given a chance. Chris, one of her bosses is in New York working on landing a new client and needs some help. The only one available is Scarlett as everyone ahead of her got food poisoning at the New Years party. Scarlett is excited because this is her chance to show what she is capable of on the job but when she gets there, Chris is an as*wh*l* and demands that she go back to Seattle and they send someone else. Since there is no one else he will have to work with her. Scarlett is devastated and angry at Chris's attitude but informs him that by the end of the assignment he will be impressed with her work. The meeting the next day does not go well at all and when Chris is out of the room Scarlett overhears the potential clients say, Chris acts like he has a stick up his butt. Back at the hotel, when Scarlett tells Chris what was said he invites her to help him loosen up. She does. But is it enough? Will they get the client? Will Chris learn to relax? Is there a future for Chris and Scarlett?

Scarlett gets the opportunity to work with Chris and she is instantly smitten with him, however the first meeting isn't as perfect as she hoped it would be. He's rude and cold to her once he realizes she is there to work with him. He was drawn to her as well but he doesn't not mix business with pleasure. Frustrated that he has to work with this beautiful woman who he deems sloppy their first meeting with a big company doesn't go as well as planned, he's too stiff and rigid. Scarlett lets him know he needs to loosen up and let off some steam, to which he asks her if she wants to help him let off some steam..his response surprises them both but there's no going back now, they both know it's a terrible idea but are so drawn to each other neither can refuse, but mixing business with pleasure can be a complicated situation and they are both willing to take that risk.
I received an advanced copy of this book and I LOVED it! Penny Wylder just has this way of making you fall in love with her characters from the very beginning and her stories are straight to the point there is no long build up which I love, she draws you in from the first page. And she is a master when it comes to sexiness lol good grief she can write some scorching hot scenes!

If you're looking for a short quick scorching hot read this is THE book to read. Both characters are likable and I enjoyed the story. Kara is working at a sex shop when Jet comes in and buys her a sex toy to get out...and she does! It goes on from there and overall it was very enjoyable...makes me want to check out the local sex shop!!

I received this ARC copy of this book from the Author. I give this book 5 stars. It is hot storyline between the hero and the heroine very much a great read. I recommend this book.

This is the story of Scarlett and Chris; Chris is the boss and Scarlett is the employee. Scarlett is hired (because of a really entertaining reason) to fly to NY and help her boss’s boss in a few meetings with the top employees of the Pleasure Chest. Scarlett meets Chris and immediately he realizes she is not what he needs or wants and tries to get her fired. Scarlett is determined to prove herself to Chris and does so. The interactions between the two are fun and their attraction is felt in the story line. They cross a line that they cannot come back from (all because of Chris needing some relaxation) but are determined to do what it takes to get this contract. Do to the fact that this was a short story; I found that the characters were not as developed as they could have been. I was missing something in their passion for each other. I would have liked a little more in terms of the story developing and more with the lead up to the romantic relationship between Scarlett and Chris. It was a fast story and uncomplicated; there was no drama, or stress for them to work through so I really did not see how much they really wanted to be together. I loved the epilogue and felt that it really played nicely with Scarlett and Chris and how I imagine their life is like. The writing was well done and the flow of the book worked well. Over all it was a nice story and was entertaining for a quick fun read. I received an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. I love Penny Wylder's books - they are like a delectable dessert without the calories (or if you are inspired for a date with B.O.B., you might actually burn calories!). Expert Service is another treat! Kara Bishop is a researcher by nature. When she loses her job in Market Research, she finds herself hired by Pleasure Chest, a NY based sex toy store. When sexy, chisled (hello 6-pack) customer Jet seeks an intimate review of some of the products in the store, he starts gifting Kara various toys for her professional and very personal first hand experience. Sparks fly between Kara and Jet for a sweet, funny, sexy read with a yummy HEA. This is a great book to get lost in on a Sunday afternoon and devour in one sitting!

Cute story
My least favorite in the series, but I still enjoyed it. I didn't feel the chemistry between these two as much as the other couples, but it was still a hot story. I love Wylder and her OTT stories that suspend me from reality, but sometimes I can't get over elements of her stories. The "conflict" in this one was especially lame, but it didn't take away from the story. I just think it could have been a little juicer. I did really like Chris. Idk why or what, but there was something about him I really liked. I would definitely recommend this story, it just wasn't my favorite out of the three. They were all still good stories

Really great read! Loved both Jet and Kara.

Jet eventually asks Kara on a date where the have a fab time and end up in bed together..... Jet them disappears! Where has he gone and why is he not responding to Kara?!? Have a read. Great short story and high recommend.

Fast, insta-lust hot read...liked it. Both characters were likable and there was some aspect of a plot which I liked. I was kind of left with a big questions at the end though....kinds spoiler ahead....but when he went to make sure she didn't leave before he could straighten out the miscommunication, he said he was switching her over to his team and she would work under him....soooooooo was that allowed since now they were dating? I mean, normal places have rules about dating your boss...i dunno...i kinda just wanted clarification about that.

Another winner by Penny Wylder. As always, it was an easy and satisfying read. The characters were likable, the story engaging and the love scenes were HOT. Exactly what I've come to expect from Ms. Wylder. Part of me wishes it was longer so that we could explore their relationship more. But I know that a longer story would bring conflict and what I like best about a Penny Wylder book is that there's no angst and a HEA is guaranteed.

She's done it again. I loved this book. The chemistry between the two characters were great. He let off a little steam and became less of an a$$hole. Lol. He had a moment when you wanted to slap him but he at least saw he was wrong later and felt bad. Both characters were enjoyable. She was strong and determined. And he was a little standoffish but super sweet underneath. Nice steamy scenes to go along with the story. Overall really good story with a happy ending.

Best of three
This is the best of the three Pleasure Chest series books that I have read. Although, the missed edits drive me crazy. I think, because I am really enraptured in the story and sometimes have to read a sentence two or three times to get it right. It interrupts the flow. The erotica in these books is very descriptive. Expert Service has been my favorite story line by far, to date.

Another amazing book by Penny. Chris was a complete jerk too Scarlett when they first met and true to her word she was going to change his mind. Chris wants Scarlett but never mixes business & pleasure. But the sexual tension is too much and they give in. Love Chris & Scarlett together and can't wait to read my next Penny Wylder book

This was a decent read. I liked the characters, their chemistry, and the fast pace of the story. I think it'd have been better if it had gone through some more edits before releasing. I found quite a few typos and grammatical errors, and I found myself pausing in the middle of reading a sentence to go back and re-read it, to make it make sense in my mind.

I got an ARC of this. I think it's a cute short story. I would've liked to read more on both characters. A bit more development for both and their relationship. I still enjoyed it a lot and recommend it if you're looking for a quick uncomplicated story.

Short, fast, quick and sexy!! Scarlett is trying to make a name for herself and has landed a promotion by sheer luck but Chris doesn't have time for someone that he thinks is not ready for the job! Heads will butt and clothes will fly!!

A good short read for Scarlet and Chris's story. This story strays away from the Pleasure Chest and more toward the business end of things for the company. This is where Chris and Scarlet come into play. They are ad executives trying to land the Treasure Chest's business. It is a good hot read.

Loved how Scarlett gets Chris all hot and bothered and she wasn't even trying! So when the team of the new client he's trying to land for the marketing agency they work for find him uptight, she has a solution to help. Really enjoyed this co-workers to lovers story!

Quite a cute book. Scarlett did not leave a good impression on her boss, Chris as she stepped into the conference room and fell flat on her face. A HEA that starts with lust and the need to unwind turns into love.
