Molly and Jazeel have met again after many years. Both are coming back to the community. Jazeel is going to stay with a sick uncle but he blacks out on the bus and misses his time to get off and his uncle is murdered and they suspect him at first for the murder. Ettie and Elsa May come to the rescue and help to find the real killer. There is also a huge fight over a diamond that the daughter thinks should be hers and the father gave to the housekeeper. Good clean read
Another great mystery by Samantha Price. Always characters that are well written and page flipping. Love her mysteries cause she keeps you guessing till the end. Ettie has her work cut out for her on this case. Trying to prove a friend didn't kill his uncle Alfie. But kind of hard to do when he has come up missing also. So it only leaves his fiance to help them find him to prove his innocence. Will keep you guessing to the end.
I love the Ettie Smith series and Samantha Price didn't disappoint with this one. At first I wasn't sure if I liked how she went back and forth with which character was talking. I soon found that it was a part of the uniqueness of this mystery story. I found myself going back and forth on whodunit and I never really settled on who I felt the murderer was. For me that makes a great read. I loved Tom the cat that put the humor in this story for me. He had me smiling and laughing at times. I also loved that Molly had the last words of the story and how they were of Tom and just as through the story she missed the point on what his actions meant. I recommend this book to you ! think you will love it also.
I chose to give this book five stars because it is another good read. I haven't been disappointed in any of the Amish mystery series. They keep your full attention from start to finish .Samantha Price has outdone herself. I will be waiting on the next book, until then I'm still reading !!!!
My only problem was missing labels when perspective changed from Ettie to Molly. Also at least one days later tag was misplaced. Overall a good story with at least one or two false steps. what makes this worse is Kindle Unlimited has #11 as The Amish Cat Caper, but when I opened the book it was this one.
