As a young child, Rachel Parody has a very special relationship with Jesus. By his side, she explores a magical place, is comforted, and encouraged to not live in fear. Over time, Rachel and Jesus lose contact and evil demons use their time of separation to steer her into the ways of the world. Not until her heart is completely broken and her mind is convinced she is headed for hell will she seek a face-to-face encounter again with her Savior. At the age of thirty-four, Rachel learns to rely and depend on her childhood friend once again. He teaches her the truth and then introduces her to the love of her life. Because of her horrific past, many years later, Rachel’s need to be a good example for young women in her church drives her to worry over their romantic influences. When she notices a series of books and movies enslaving them with lustful desires, her interest gets piqued. After investigating the books, these stories don’t repulse her but become a catalysis for Rachel to share the love of Jesus with these girls. But the fantasy appeal of the characters enthralls the girls more than helping them see there is a true immortal named, Jesus. She tried many ways to share how this love story between a mortal and a vampire was written from references out of the Bible’s ‘Song of Solomon.’ but no one would listen. Once Rachel realizes her efforts were futile, she asks Jesus to calm her obsession and send someone who could reach the younger generation with His loving nature. Instead of sending Rachel help, Jesus convinces her to write her own story. Exposing her past was not in Rachel’s plan, but giving her life away as an example was His. Will Rachel tell everything?
Traditionally published author turned INDIE. Three books (The Plan, The Conversion & The Chosen) have been republished as THE PLAN, CONVICTED & CONVINCED and made more affordable for readers. If you want to read reviews, refer to the old books because the storylines have not changed. www.amazon.com/-/e/B01CZZ90Q2
What the hell is happening on this cover, OMG? Am I supposed to infer from this that black = evil and white = good? Is that what I'm supposed to be seeing here?
Also, Edward Cullen = Jesus? What is this dafuqery.
Plus, self-rating by author, twice. And, it's "enlightening", not enlighting. Check a dictionary, maybe.
The Plan is a Christian fiction book, and pretty darned good. The Plan is about...The Plan God has for a young child. We read what he says to Jesus and angels, and we also read what the devil and his minions have in mind to defeat God by influencing with thoughts and desires of the physical world. A life-long battle between good and evil ensues over this girl/woman. The issues were many I was surprised to read about, but was struck that no matter how bad her actions, she was always forgiven. Always. Also, it was her acknowledgement and understanding of past actions of what she had done wrong that led her to understand right actions. I enjoyed this book very much.
Good, evil and everything in between. This is an interesting story told in an unique way. The author examines life through the eyes of Rachel parody from the time of her birth. The author uses a different story line that makes readers consider the idea of just how those who rule good and evil have an effect on our lives. In this story, that idea takes readers on an emotional roller coaster and a great story.
In this amazing book; The Plan, Raven H. Price displays a story that will touch your heart and minister to your soul profoundly. In the battle between good and evil, the devil sets in motion from before we are born to abort the plan and purpose God has for our life. As you read The Plan and get to know Rachel, you’ll discover the enemy will use evil to attack your family, finances, relationships, health, place obstacles in the way, even build a bridge that distance you from being in the presence of God. Evil will hurt you so bad it’ll make you hard to trust anyone. This is not part of God’s plan for you.
But for every attack and evil spirit, the devil sends God sends His Word in the form of His Son, Jesus Christ to intercede and watch over Rachel. Though she must go thru a period of pain, despair, hurt, shame, and even going on a path that leads her astray from Christian values, morals, and ethics, with a deep desire to love the Lord with all her heart mind, and soul, will she finally come to realize God’s greater plan for her life and submit to it? Well, you’ll have to read it for yourself to discover the answer to this. Perhaps, in reading this incredible book which is quite easy to read and comprehend, you’ll come to discover you’re never too far gone that God can’t “help you fight fear and give you a purpose for living.” If you’re seeking God for His plan and purpose for your life, look no further. I highly recommend The Plan. It will take you on a journey you’ll never forget and open your eyes in ways you never fathomed.
I started to skip the review. I felt let down by the storyline. The primus was interesting but the execution fell short of expectations. The content was presented like a fairytale for adolescents wrapped up in subject matter more suitable for adult audiences. I was not impressed.
This was a fantastic book about faith and love and the journey of a person coming closer to God. The symbolism is fantastic and the author's writing and descriptions are inspiring. I would definitely recommend this book and all other books by this author to anyone! I will be keeping my eye out for more of her stories!
This book was amazing! Raven Price has such a brilliant mind and conveys such a beautiful message. I love the way her characters come to life and seem so real. I am looking forward to reading many more books from this incredible author!
