Pyramid Project Management

Amusing look into what could happen when Project Management and ancient Egypt collided. It does emphasize that PM techniques can be used, regardless of time, and provides concrete yet fanciful applications of theory. Good book for beginning PM students who need a break from the dry prose of PMBOK.

Project management simplified!

I found this book has what many (all..?) other Project Management books lack - examples of HOW to apply processes on a project. The "building a pyramid" scenario makes it really easy to understand, and makes for a light-hearted but informing read. Recommended, particularly for new or accidental PM's.

Pretty basic, but well explained

I thought the pyramid analogy was well done and easy to understand. I think it would have been improved if it had included some design thinking and framing strategies in the first few chapters, but overall it was pretty good.

A great idea and a very useful metaphor to explain basic terms and methodologies a project manager uses with examples that create a picture that stays with you longer than just reading definitions.

A fun and an interesting book to read for PM

Through a nice story the book takes you through the fundamental of Project management and who knows, it might provide an explanation on how big projects were managed in antiquity 😏!

The book was interesting and you can gain useful information about how to manage a project. They are basic information but important for some people.

This is a well written and easy to read management book. Different managing techniques are explained in a story-like setting. The building of a pyramid, with all it's stages and possible problems, is used as an clear example. There are even modern day examples make it more understandable and practical.
