I had the wonderful privilege of speaking with one of the authors, BlackByrd, for February's book Record Label Romance. She answered another book club members and my questions regarding the book and gave tidbits of the sequel without telling too much. She also asked us questions about various characters and our overall thoughts of the book.
The one question asked by member was why end the book there? Pretty much BlackByrd was doing marketing at it's finest. For the reader who needs that little push to get the sequel, what better place to end the story. Give you just enough to want to know what happens next. And boy ole boy do I want to know.
Of course I'm waiting on the paperback form but the electronic form is available through Amazon. BlackByrd did assure us she would let us know when the paperback will be available.
At the age of 31, BlackByrd is very talented and has about 10 books available to purchase. I look forward to reading more from her. Visit her website www.myblackbyrd.com.
Record Label Romance spoke to my soul on growth. Accept your growth as a person even if it means you’ve outgrown others and must move on without them. It also spoke to me to not be afraid and do something out of your norm. You might be on an exciting journey with twists and turns but ultimately leads to success. While doing this, never lose who you are to make others happy.
I definitely recommend this book I read it in like 3 days!!!! I didn't want to put it down and couldn't wait to read the sequel.
Another book from 2018 reading list.

This was a good book, great storyline and characters you like. Can’t wait to see what happens next in the following book. Hope it does end up being a record label romance with good ending.
This was a good book. I was enthralled by Showboat, Misty and Tiffany's situation from the beginning. I liked how the author let you see not only what was done, but why the characters did it, and nobody was full on bad guy/good guy.
I love me some mystie she is independent and needs nobody it was messed up how she got with showboat but I still hope they end up together I'm sorry but his girlfriend gave me gold digger vibes and she will do anything for clout I can't wait to read part 2
This was an interesting story that gave some insight into Shakim and Mystie's relationship. I liked the flow of the story and finished it in one day. Now Loki forward to reading part 2 to find out what happens next.
