Efrat Haddi is a superb story teller, whether telling something serious or funny. In this humorous book with a delightful monkey as a character, she tells a fun tale based upon the customary habit, a very good habit, of kids using their imagination, sometimes to do something that is possible, and sometimes, as in this funny book, to do the impossible. The story is not only enjoyable, but it will prompt children to think.
As happens with most kids, the young monkey does not want to go to sleep. Not being tired, and looking out of the window, the monkey decides to catch the moon. But how can it be done?
The youngster tries a couple of ways. Balloons fly into the air, so it seems to make sense to hold onto a small collection of balloons and fly up to the moon and catch it this way. It doesn't work. Next, the monkey tries to build a ladder to climb up to the moon, with the same result.
Then, our thinker sees the moon reflected in a bucket of water. Not knowing about "reflection"....
Children will delight in this tale and in the illustrations.

What a cool bedtime story for those 0-8 years old.

I thought this was very well written and illustrated, too. Of how this little monkey wanted help to catch the moon and asked the reader or listener for help . Therefore I wish to recommend this terrific ebook for four stars and for kids ages 0-8 .
I received this for free by using KU , and now in return, here is my honest review. Great work Efrat! By Angela

This certainly fun book is all illustration-driven. There is just one character, the monkey, and he's trying to catch the moon. Really what he wants is to go to sleep. And that makes this a good story, because any time you talk about that, and wear a little one down with a micro-movie in their minds, it shouldn't be long until their out like a light. Monkey is cute. Solution is cute.

My grandson loves it.

My grandson, like all the little ones I know, love cell phones and other electronic devices, and this kindle version of this book is his favorite. It’s a great book for teaching him to read because the story is fun and the words are the right balance of difficulty. I will be getting more from this author.

So I picked this up looking for books to read to my friend's neices and nephew, but I don't find this very appealing and have no interest in showing them. I would ok this for very young children, with the basic art and very simlistic story telling (which I have nothing agianst, though I didn't like it here) but I don't see it capturing the interest of these kids. :/ Sorry.

Cute story

The story is cute however the ebook creation is horrible. A small picture that does not fill even half of the screen. The author needs to fire whoever created the ebook

Amateurish at beat.

Poor children's book. It's this kind of book that makes me question my subscription to kindle unlimited. Not worth the time.

Decent read

This is a quick read. I do wish there was a little more to it though. Maybe explain how the moon was caught and specify the reflection was caught. It's a book, so more imagination on ways to catch the moon would be good.
