Trigger The moment I saw Eve in the dress shop helping my sister, I knew there was more to her than what meets the eye. The friendship between Bridget and Eve was never known to me and now I need to make sure that she doesn't pose a threat to the club. What I didn't count on was falling for her. What will happen when she learns my secrets? Will she run or will she be my salvation? Eve What a fucking douche bag! How can one person be such an asshole to someone they just met. Of course, I do have a history of being with assholes. After one night of what was an amazing apology dinner, I find myself falling for this guy. Can I put myself through this again? Can I deal with his mood changes all the time? And what secrets does he have that I see in his eyes?
"This right here is what I have been missing. This is my salvation and I'm never letting go."
A darkly addictive, unique story unlike anything I've ever come across. The author brings you this detailed, imaginative PNR/MC hybrid that filled you in on the history, and swept you up to the here and now with no confusion. I loved the whole premise of the story and got really hooked by the action, suspense, and finding answers to all the questions that were hidden in the twists and turns. Aside of that, I would have liked to see a little more heat from the couple, but of course if you read the book they had a ton of things going on to prevent them from getting down and dirty. All in all, an amazing debut, I can't wait for the next, and I am thankful to be able to voluntarily review!
"I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book." Awesome beginning to what I believe is going to be a great series. Trigger is a bad boy with secrets and a past but he's got a soul that needs mending and saving. Everyone else has run or walked away but he feels Eve is different and can be that one to keep him from going to far. Eve is used to the typical idiots that come into her world. This one is different and strikes a different cord with her. Trials and tribulations are ubundant with these two and only time will tell if they can save each other
I totally enjoyed Trigger's Salvation a Paranormal Shifter Book. It was refreshing to read of a female alpha. Eve was a strong, single woman with a child. She is working and is unaware she is being stalked. Until she is attacked and changes her life forever. Trigger is attracted to Eve. He senses trouble but does not know what is about to happen also changes his life. I would recommend this book to all my friends
What a wild ride of strength and love for a single mother trying to do the right thing for her child and a shifter VP whonis ruff and sweet this is a page turner
Another great book set in my home state of Louisiana. Trigger is a MC VP and a werewolf whose club protect humans in N.O. His sister introduce him to Eve and all bets are off. An interesting take on a shifter /MC romance book. The shifter Alpha is female and the club listen to her. Changing humans are not allowed and no talk of mates. Enjoyed this authors writing and looking forward to next book in this series. ARC supplied by author
It was a good read. It had good characters and a interesting story line. The only thing I didn't like about this book was as the story just got really interesting and you thought you were going to get answers the book ended. But that isn't stopping me from reading the next book.' The next book just came out so there's no waiting now. Rated very good
Two of my most favourite genres in one helping PNR and MC...this always had the potential to be a winner for me....and it really did deliver...with gang rivalry, something sinister lurking and secrets to be revealed ..the action is fast paced, intriguing and exciting....
This alternative PNR world with it's historical backstory , and the inhabitants found within it are totally believable... and the relationship between the two main characters felt genuine with Eve, a smart, feisty single mother who is done with taking s**t off the men in her life and Trigger, the archetypal protective (overly at times), alpha MC Vice -President who can't resist the charms of a certain sassy female...
The narrative is supplied by Eve and Trigger giving their version of the events that unfold and thereby providing both insight into their thoughts as well as some humorous asides....I loved the MC guys with their camaraderie and loyalty..and the interaction between Trigger and his sister Bridget was so typical of sibling relationships with heated exchanges and lots of love... I am hopeful she and the other MC brothers will have their own stories to tell in future books...
The story drew me in from the start with it's original plot.... as the first in the series it left me eager to get my hands on the next instalment... I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review...
I like this book.... very reminiscent of watching SOA, and all the MC references were there.
We have our story set from the beginning as to basic Lycan/Werewolf lore. The beginnings, the rules, the betrayer, and the credible threat. We then move through time and see the establishment of dominions, or territories, and the two fundamental rules...... 1. Protect everyone, supernatural and human. 2. Humans must NOT be turned, as they are dangerous and most turnings result in death.
So we meet Trig/Tony V.I.P of the HellFire Dogs, New Orleans is their territory, and they protect humans and non humans alike from other clubs and individuals trying to take over. We are also introduced to his fiery outspoken sister Bridget, her new friend Evelyn and her 2yr old son Alec. Trig and Eve don't hit if off at first, as Trig jumps to the wrong conclusion about Eve and she in return thinks he is a total douche bag . Things are not all they seems though, and Eve is an innocent in all this, but I get the feeling she is something different.... although the author has not explored this avenue.... I feel the story could have opened up in a whole new way. I'm hoping she does experiment on who, or what Eve could be defended from, in another chapter of he and Trigs story. I look forward to reading more in the HellFire MC series, as I think it has potential to be a terrific series. Absolutely recommend this book to anyone wanting a good PNR read
I really wish GRs allowed .5 stars. This deserves a 3.5. This story has a wonderful storyline, that I really hope to get to read more of. I feel there are several places that the story has bad timing for me. Its mostly places that go too fast. A girl who is still feeling the after effects of an abusive relationship, jumps RIGHT into a relationship with a man who is aggressive and over bearing.... Her alarms should have been going off. I understand the thrill of a fast paced story, and if this pace were maintained it might get a little higher rating. Instead it goes back and forth. I LOVE the characters, and the main storyline. I have to admit this is my first shifter/biker combo. And I really enjoyed it. Nice combination. I would say that due to some of the content, definitely YA or higher. Not for younger audiences.
This is a fantastic Paranormal MC story. It has a place near and dear to me as I live in Louisiana, the legends of the Rougarou, Marie Leveau, Motorcycles.... who could ask for anything more. Great storyline and rich back story. The characters are diverse and deep. This is a fantastic beginning to what I see as a great series. Cannot wait to read more.
The first time Trigger meets Eve, it doesn’t exactly go the greatest. Trigger ends up being a complete a-hole and ends up realizing he needs to apologize to her. He also gets a feeling that something is off with her and he is determined to find out what it is.
Eve wasn’t impressed with Trigger. At first, he came across as a real jerk. She has already had her fill of jerks and doesn’t want another one in her life. But when Trigger offers an apology dinner things change for Eve.
There are so many questions that need to be answered soon or I’m going to end up going crazy over someone I barely know.
There is so much more to this great read. There are twists that add great elements to the story. I loved Eve’s feistiness and how she stood up to Trigger. I also loved his sister, she was a little spit fire. I really liked how Trigger instantly went into protective mode when it came to Eve and her son. And the attraction between these two was off the charts hot. This is a story line I have never read before MC/Paranormal and I loved it. I look forward to reading more from this series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Reviewed by MAustin from Alpha Book Club
This book was quite interesting. I have never read a Shifters MC book. And I liked it. It had me captivated from beginning, and had me guessing.
I liked Trigger, he may act like a nasty person but he is big teddy bear. He wants to protect people, but also keep their secret. He didn't know what taking his sister dress shopping would do to him.
I liked Eve, she is independent and strong. She won't let anyone walk over her, and she cares greatly for her son Alec. She is friends with Trigger's sister, and works in a dress shop. She is kind hearted as well as fierce.
Trigger meets Eve while escorting his little sister to her bride's maid fitting. He spotted her and after a few verbal tangles decides he needs to apologize for his behavior. Knowing she won't just meet him or go out with him, his sister helps set up her friend for a quite evening with brother. The beginning. He likes her little boy and they begin a fast friendship.
Trigger feels something is wrong but can't find anything until he goes on a run with the club for an important meeting. While he's gone, Eve ignores his instruction for her protector. She doesn't like being restricted. Yet when she doesn't take precautions she is attacked. The results end with her in the hospital with a serious concussion and more.
The more is what creates the problems for them all. He has secrets he intends to hide for a while, yet that may not be possible.
I enjoyed this one with the PNR along with the MC. The meeting does morph into a relationship with little hesitation or explanation. More time on this would make the story stronger. The emphasis is not on the animal side, but the human. The lycans's purpose is to protect humans. Their hierarchy and leadership are interesting. Certainly looking forward to more in the series. My oh my, just the prologue of this book has my mouth watering because this is unlike any other MC book that I have read, truly. It is not only an MC, but a Shifter book as well from what I am reading in the prologue. This should make it extra interesting. Yeah, this was one of the most spellbinding (pun intended) MC books that I have read. We meet Eve, Trigger, his sister, and a cute young man named Alec. Who is Max? What does he have to do with all of this? What has he done? Who is behind what he did? Why did he do it? We get to see Sierra in all her prime, and watch Eve take her own destiny into her own hands. This was one of the most fun books to read. I cannot wait to read book two in the series! I won't say much else, because that would give it away.

this the first book in the Hell fire Dogs MC, and it's going to be an amazing series. Trigger is intrigued by the the beauty that helped his sister, but being a douchebag is his specialty but he was a big one with Eve, but it was protect his club and sister, you have to be careful so he offers a apologie dinner which proves he wants to know more about Eve, but wants she sees his demons and secrets will she still want him? Eve feels the connection with Trigger, but knows he's hiding somthing she hopes she let it go for her hearts sake.
Every once in a while, I pick up a book and as I’m reading, I’m catching myself wondering if the characters are true to what they should be. Let me explain myself – Trigger is in an MC Club, the Hellfire Dogs, and is a big brother who follows his sister to a store unsuspecting that she’s friends with one of the employees, eve. Rather than take a step back and observe the pair, he goes full out butthole (imagine me saying the actual word here
I wanted to read this book I really did, however the missing and misplaced words made it impossible. What could have been a good book became tedious. I read to loc 643, 31% and highlighted 15 mistakes ( missing or misplaced words.) I do not know if the author uploaded the wrong copy but whatever happened I hope it is fixed before it becomes hazardous to her career as an author. ( the above issue was indeed an issue with amazon)
Update
I finished the book and WOW! This is an author to keep an eye on. Her story is unique and captivating. With her willingness to improve her skills and her desire to fix any issues her work may have I can't wait to see what she accomplishes next.
This was a different twist with the Alpha. The Alpha is a female and is one that takes no bull from any one. The character has problems of communication between each other. Trigger is afraid that once Eve find out things about him that she will walk. Eve is having a hard time with the attitude she is getting. If you are looking for a different twist on MC book then this is the one for you. Recommend this book
supernatural biker! A Great Start to a new series!!!
An ideal combination of Paranormal and MC my two favorites. I enjoyed this story. The Alphaness and Protectiveness of Bikers. The way they are a Brotherhood and there for one another ready to fight for anyone in their family. I really loved the Paranormal aspect and the history behind these Lycans. The connection and sexiness between Trigger and Eve had me glued to the pages. Can't wait to read more from this new series.
What's not to love about a book that has MC and paranormal shifters? Yup the combination is great and so is the story. Trigger is afraid of loosing Eve since she gets to him in a way no one else can, but will she stay once she finds out who he is? Eve is scared for her son and the man she has run from can she open her heart and trust again. Great story lots of twists to keep you engaged.
My first read of this author and she is most definitely a keeper in my book. Well done
This was an excellent read.I like paranormal and I didn't expect this at all.Recommend.Trigger and Eve story rock.Im going to love this series.I know theres more to this story.
I volunteered for the ARC of this in return for an honest review...This is a great start from a new author...The premise of the story is great... werewolves in New Orleans an instant connection between a shifter Trigger the VP of the local shfter MC who protects the humans from things they dont see or know exist and a human Eve who has become the best friend of Triggers extremely feisty sister. Eve and Trigger develop a relationship Eve also has a gorgeous 2 yr old son who I loved and I think may play a bigger part later in this series or maybe a story of his own in the future once he is grown. I dont want to give too much away... It was a good solid story I read in one sitting so why only 3 stars well for me a little more steam and sex was needed and the ending needed to a bit more in depth explaining as how Trig and Eve adapted etc and there are a few spelling and sentence errors (but this is a first book and I have found that this is common in most first books) I will def be reading book 2 in the series as I know this author and this series will get better...it was a very interesting read
1 1/2. I don't like to give 1 star ratings unless I absolutely hate a story and the characters. But I wouldn't recommend this book unless it's free. No cheating, ow/om drama.
The spelling and grammar are atrocious. Without an editor, just a proof reader would catch them. Sentences that changed as if written one way then rewritten without taking out unnecessary words. And inconsistencies. When the H first sees the h he describes her having long brown hair. When he meets her son he thinks how the he boys blonde hair and blue eyes are like her mother. Also the h thinks about how she never knew her parents then she sees her mother in a dream and describes her looks "just as she remembered her".
Too much inner dialogue and not enough conversations. When there was dialogue it was stilted with hardly any contractions which didn't sound natural. The characters were not fully developed and behaved inconsistently.
None of the relationship was shown, it was just 2 weeks later and they've been together, then it's 6 months later and the story ends on a relationship cliffhanger. The MC part could have been left out because the focus was the shapeshifing.
This was not what I was expecting at all. I didn't realize it was a paranormal for one. Well I really enjoyed the bones of the story, there were some editing issues- an example was going into the hospital and getting soaked but when leaving eyes had to be squinted shut due to the bright sunlight. I don't mind insta love/attraction and although it was implied, I just didn't feel it between these two. I would have liked to have seen more of the relationship. I did enjoy the "channeling" aspect of the story.
Overall not a bad read and I will probably read more of the series
This was an interesting storyline, and really good for a short story. I think that if the story had been further developed and many details added it would have been wonderful. It's so hard to get into the shorter story's as they have to be kept simple and concise so you don't form an attachment to the characters or the series. Would be really interesting if the author ever went back and rewrote it.
Trigger's Salvation, is book 1 in the Hellfire Dogs MC series by Crystal Miller. And it's also my first book by Crystal Miller.
Trigger's Salvation is a short and fast paced story. What I liked the most about the story is the camaraderie and the sense of family between the guys in the Hellfire Dogs MC!
Look I loved this book, I love the story ,and its full of interesting plotlines and wonderful characters. I honestly think that you should get it and read it. Also the rest of the series . But there is a bit of jumping around a few things that should be fleshed better still a good story.
