I'm a UK based author who loves to read and write all things romance. As Skye Jones I write steamy paranormal romance that ranges from light and fun to dark and gritty.

As S.R. Jones I write darker contemporary romance and romantic suspense.

I live in Yorkshire, and get lots of inspiration from the windswept moors, the old stone buildings and the Celtic myths of this fair isle.

My dogs are my favourite people, and I'm quite fond of my husband too. I love chocolate and starbucks mochas and keep meaning to give them up for a life as a svelte fashion plate - it never happens!

Another Havsa sibling is found, but it won't be easy getting this loner away from the only life she's ever known near the ocean

Mia has alway known there is something different about her, but she's been happy just living with her fur baby and beloved ocean and art.. She dreams of dragons every night and paints them upon waking, but only for her eyes. Now she is told she has a sister and she can't wait to meet her, she can't contain her elation at the thought of having a blood relative having been adopted. But these 2 males that have come to take her throw her off balance literally and she can't comprehend the feelings running through her blood. They want her, they don't want her?

Steffan is one of the oldest Dragonae, a fierce warrior, that has scars that run deep both mentally and physically. He lives as loner away from the Clan, but his very dear friend has requested his help in retrieving his mates sister and so he makes his appearance known to Robert the Welsh Clan leader...He will retrieve the female even though the other male accompanying them makes his blood boil, both in lust and rage towards the young dragon.

Aiden wants nothing to do with living within the clan, he prefers to be at his archeological digs over the world, but when his Clan leader calls he must drop it all and make an appearance. Lo and behold his crush also makes a grand entrance and they are both taken aback when they meet Mia, Steffan is old enough to control his urges, but Aiden runs, he will not be bogged down, mated in the clan.

The 3 have a strong painful attraction, but all 3 want freedom, will they all be able to come to an arrangement, or is Steffan in particular doomed to wither away even more than he has been due to the loss of his mates centuries ago and the poison snaking its way inside his body?

Two males are better than one. 5 LOVE BITES

it sounds like my idea of heaven. I’ve always wanted a threesome. HOLY DRAGON'S FIRE!! Now THIS is one FANTABULOUSLY AWESOME book!! Truly DRAGONTACULAR!! I love, Love, LOVE EVERYTHING about it! The Dragons, the powers, the mating (what? I'm being honest here! wink), the lore, but I love how Mia fits into it all even more! Skye's breathtaking storytelling combined with her exceptional & ingeniously distinctive creativity, has not only brought to life a truly phenomenal series - a phenomenal Dragon series, at that - that flies above the rest, but has also intrigued me with her "hybrids" so to speak. I don't want to say too much and ruin even a tiny bit of the magic for you, so I will just say that if you think that this is "just one more Dragon book" you would be so incredibly wrong and denying yourself something beautiful, magical, hot, sad, happy, emotional, loving and oh so perfectly PERFECT! I just want to add that I think that this is exactly the right length of the story too! With all that needed to happen, to be said... there isn't anything that I would change!! I have read & loved all of Skye's paranormal books, and in fact I actually re-read all of them in the past 6 weeks, so they are all still fresh in my mind making it easier to see... not necessarily a change in her writing, more like an increased level of depth and enrichment to her wording & writing. The phrases, thoughts & banter add an extra layer of enjoyment and when combined with her colorful, perfectly detailed descriptions, the connection to both the characters and the story itself is all but instantaneous as well as intensely beautiful. I love that Skye doesn’t limit or “restrict” herself to one writing style! Each of her books is a different and thoroughly entertaining reading experience BECAUSE the characters are all different! I never know what to expect with each book, but that is yet one more reason I love them! Each book is its own book, and I don’t feel like “if I read one, I have read them all”, not even in the slightest bit!! When I read a well-written, entertaining book, I often find myself living out the story with, for and often even as the characters themselves, and Skye's books are no exception! However with her last 3 or 4 releases - particularly with this new Dragon Clan series - Skye has "upped the ante" so to speak! I truly feel like I am seeing everything the characters are but through their eyes, seeing it the way they are with their feelings, thoughts, etc. influencing their thoughts and opinions of it. A little quaint house becomes something pretty, special & meaningful because that is how the character/house owner sees it. But when a different character sees it as a small, confined space, well that's how I feel about it at that moment too. This deep level of connection is rare for me and is not only a true treasure to be cherished, but also a tribute to Skye's storytelling! She is an author with extraordinary and limitless talent who also is blessed with a genuine gift! My only disappointment is that she doesn't have 500 books out there for me to lose myself in forever! YES!! I truly do love, Love, LOVE them THAT much! All three of them perched on the edge of the precipice. Did they jump, or would they still manage to step back?

Mia: Dragon Clan by Skye Jones is book 2 in her Dragon Clan series. In this book we are introduced to Mia who like, Claire aka Ice, is a latent dragon shifter but doesn't know what she is due to her heritage being kept a secret from her all her life. Mia has been mostly content with her life living beside the sea in her small town, painting, selling her paintings and drawings and having a bit of fun from time to time. She is mostly happy but she knows that she is different from those around her and feels isolated and even more so since the passing of her adopted mother. When she first meets Steffan and Aiden for the first time she feels an attraction to them but doesn't understand. Steffan is torn in how he feels because of how he has isolated himself for all these years since the deaths of his former mates but he feels the pull between himself and Aiden as well and knows that this is a powerful bonding that he could be a part of. Aiden is more than a little off put by it all because of what he believes tore his father apart so many years ago and he wants no part in it but will they really have a choice when it's just the three of them alone together?
Mia: Dragon Clan is a good story that flows really well and I enjoyed it. It has characters that really struggle with their feelings and how they are to really figure out what will be between them. The story focuses almost solely on these three characters once they all enter the picture. We get a bit of history concerning Steffan and Mia which is good and similar to the first book in this series.
What I honestly didn't like was how the story focused so much just on them. It didn't touch as much on the dragons as it did in book 1 with Claire. Claire was introduced to their dragon sides. Mia gets thrown into it with the two males getting into a fight and changing into dragon form and clashing. Also, Aiden is the one who seems to have the more heavy hatred of the Havsa. Why? He's younger than Steffan and suffered no losses to them or because of them so it makes no sense because he's the one who keeps bringing up her heritage and hurting her with it.
I honestly feel that without there being any type of outside conflict this book is lacking a bit in concern to the first book because it's so focused on them dealing with their personal and emotional issues. The book is a good read but for me it's not as engaging as book 1 - Ice.
There aren't an editorial errors and the book is well written but it's not one that draws me in and has me turning the pages wanting to know more and being a book I want to devour in one sitting. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for a voluntary review.

The second installment of Skye Jones' Dragon Clan series was just as good as the first. It continues the secondary story of Ice (aka Claire) looking for her family, but primarily focuses on her sister, Mia, finding her place in the world along with her perfect love triad. Ms. Jones did not disappoint. It had delicious sex scenes supported by an equally intriguing storyline. A fun, quick read that held my attention every step of the way. To top it off, she was able to deliver another satisfying HEA for Mia and her men, despite the unfinished secondary storyline which will continue in book three, Lilly. Halfway through the book, because I was enjoying the ride so much and didn't want it to stop, I paused and purchased Lilly with the last of my giftcard balance so I didn't have to stop reading when Mia ended. I will definitely be purchasing the next two in the series asap. Both Ice and Mia were such fun well balanced reads that I'm quickly becoming a huge fan on Skye Jones' books and writing. I will definitely be suggesting this series to all my book reading friends that enjoy dragons, MMF, and a good storyline.

Having read the first book in this series, I couldn't really imagine how this would be that different. Two hot dragon men shifters, their unaware-she's-a-dragon partner - nice, I never get tired of hot MMF threesomes, but surely it would be repetitive.

Not. Repetitive. Fresh and hot and delicious with three compelling, interesting characters.

Disclaimer: I'm acquainted with the author via social media.

Steffan is a deep, interesting characters; Aiden is charming, almost beach bum like, and Mia is a gal after my own heart, ready to seduce THEM. Really fun, hot read, and I am already onto the next in the series, though this works fine as a stand alone.

What a crazy journey that was for Mia. Who didn’t know her place in the world and she was already being followed by the Welch Clan. Mia had no idea what was about to happen especially with the two unbonded males that made her insides turn to goo. Mia had no clue about Dragonea life and what it meant to be bonded as a trio, but Aiden and Steffan sure as hell made it interesting to learn everything she needed to know about them as a trio and their bond and how to harness her magic and finally getting to know the sister she never thought she’d ever have. Beautiful story so full of heartache and loss and the unknown.

Lacking

Decent book. The couple doesn’t have any natural chemistry like Ice does with her males. I’d like to think that if there was someone out there who was biologically compatible with me, that we would have a lot more in common and not frustrate each other that often. Aiden is quite annoying and immature; if I wanted to immerse myself in that I would just look at all of the real life millennial males.

The book was good and if you read the first, which I hope you did if you are reading this one, it followed along with the old story, even getting to see the old characters interact with the new ones. The writing was beautiful and the scenes were steamy. I just didn't connect well with this triad as much. However I look forward in reading the next one.

Gotta love Dragon shifters

Not a bad book! Can be read alone or as a series.
Adult rating. Was a bit disappointed that there was not a lot of focus on the Dragon aspect in any detail.

This was dope

I loves how offbeat this triad was. I love how you allowed them all to be true to who they were individually. I like matchups that dont really male sense but the differences usually explains how they work together.

Great series!

Mia: dragon clan is another wonderful book in this series.I advise reading them in order, but it isn't absolutely necessary. The series details build through the books, so things are easier to understand in order. All the books have been great.

Three for love

MMF, no cliffhanger and Hea. Mia thought she was alone but when two male Dragon shifters arrive and tell her she's half Dragon and has a sister. Her world is turned upside down. Sexy shifters. Nice addition to the series.

Hooked

Book two and ordering book three as soon as I am done with this review. I am hooked on this series, I love the interactions between the main characters. And love that there were issues, needing to be worked out - not perfect characters with no flaws

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I read and adored the first book in the series and thought it couldn't get any better and then i read this….wow….what an amazing book that everyone should read. It's not just about shifters, or a different way of life, the thing that struck me the most is the lesson that everyone fits in somewhere, no matter what the situation. To be accepted as you truly are with no pretenses and to be loved no matter your faults or quirkiness!!!

A lot of books i read are based in America and a much as i enjoy them it always strikes a chord for me when it is based in the UK. Being Scottish and loving visiting Wales this book was just perfect, the descriptions of the landscape were especially accurate and that always makes a book better! I adored the storyline of this book, i loved how nobody is perfect and they all have their faults, a big theme in this book as far as i can see is acceptance and working with the ones you love to create a balance that works for everyone.

I loved reading about Steffan, he is so very Alpha Male and is definitely the dominant dragon, he can come across as very intimidating because of his age and the power that he has gained in all that time. Although he can come across as intimidating there is also something extremely calming about him as well, he has a softer side when it comes to mates and those that he cares about, with an extremely protective side and nothing will get in his way of protecting those he loves! Then we have Aiden who is so completely different to Steffan but just as enigmatic. He is a lot younger which shows in his actions at times, he is extremely impulsive and everything h does comes from his heart and life experience which can come across as rash. He has a really fun and light hearted personality but is also protective of those that he loves and has a deep well of passion within him. Then we come to Mia who i adored! She has always felt alone and different so i love how she adjusts to finding out who she is and where she came from. She has aspects of her that is similar to both the males, she has a very vibrant and excited personality which lends to her art but she is also quite insular and dwells on things in her own mind. she is an extremely strong woman who has been through so muchut still gets up every day. I love reading about her throughout this book, how she goes from someone who deep inside is lonely and feels like an outcast to someone who feels she has found her place in the world being accepted and cherished

The way that this author has written this book is simply outstanding and i adored this book! The way that she has written this with all the details and descriptions really blows you away. If i could give this book more than 5* i really would!! I can't recommend this book highly enough!!!

I accidently read Mia first and had to go back to Ice. I went back because Mia's story had me hooked. I really enjoyed Steffan and Aiden's personal issue problems. Steffan, a warrior, a long lived dragon wanting Aiden, but knowing Aiden is young and not looking for a commitment since he is a loner archaeologist. Steffan has also been mated before, but they are both dead now. (Now might be the time to tell any other readers, if you're not into threesomes, stop reading here. For those of you who like a little fantasy sex, you won't be disappointed)
I story includes clan prejudices, magic and of course, two dragons that hate Mia because of her heritage that almost kill her.
I won't spoil it and tell you how it ends, but I am looking forward to these dragon clans finding the rest of Mia's and Ice's siblings.
Thank you Skye, I will be waiting for the next book.

I really enjoyed the story and the characters. I do recommend reading the books in order but it can be easily read as a standalone.

I liked Mia. Mia had never felt like she belonged. Her art, her dog and her home are all she really has when her adopted mother dies. When she discovers she is a dragon and meets the two dragons that call out to her, her life is totally changed. She is not afraid of her desires for these two men but isn't sure of making a total commitment to this new life. The men have their own issues. They all feel the attraction but have their own reasons for wanting to resist. I liked that the author did not rush the situation and really explored their doubts. The dragons typically form a triad with two makes and one female. Some of the men are intimately involved and others are bonded friends. Her men want each other as much as they want Mia and the scenes between them all are really hot. I am really looking forward to the next book featuring a third sister who finds her life changed when she too learns of her true family.

This is book 2 Mia has never fit in and is having a hard time with depression after her mom died (the women who adopted her). She also has a fatal ability to conjure up fire a secret she kept but for knew time. As a child she set a door on fire to get out of a shed. Now that one time has lead a group of dragons to her sen't by the sister dhe didn't know about. See in book 1 Ice is looking for her family that was torn apart by another dragon clan when they distoryed thier clan. With in a short time Mia finds out she is a latent dragon, her clan was distoryed, some dragons hate her, she does have family and 2 mates. She has been tossed into the fire of dragon life and after the shock she couldn't be happier lol
Love the characters thier all so different . The 3 main ones had felt the mating pull but no one really want any part of it. Lots of drama in this story and spice after all there is 3 of them. I am highly enjoying this series and can't wait for the next book to come out. Shifter fans if one guy is not enough for you this us your book!

I love these Dragon Clan stories!!!

We are presented sisters who are “latent” dragons…. Their locations are unknown – but each story is the discovery of a sister, and the revelation they are part dragon.

Mia never quite fit in, and had an incident with fire when she was younger. Learning she has a sister and there is a whole new world to be introduced to is a bit overwhelming. Especially when she finds out the females usually mate with two males! Her escorts include an older male who has lost his mates, and will never risk that loss again, and a younger dragon that works on archaeological digs and does not want to be tied down.

Unique premise, excellent execution and characters who will melt your heart or make you stomp your feet in frustration. Can’t wait for more in this series!!!

Wow, this latest story by Skye Jones is incredible. The interaction between Aiden, Steffan and Mia is not always easy as all of them have their own reason for resisting the mating.. This story gets your attention from the start and it just gets better as you go along.. The big question is will Aiden, Steffan and Mia finally put their differences aside long enough for them to realize what they mean to each other..
this is a must read..

The character of Mia was brought to life beautifully. A lonely timid girl that soon discovers new parts to her life that she doesn't quite know what or how to feel about it. Add in two completely different male suitors and you have a storyline you just can't help but follow to completion! A classic M/M/F tale that flows so seamlessly time will escape you till its completion. A great read that won't disappoint! This voluntary review is based against an advance copy
