She held a secret that would change his life forever...
From NY Times and USA bestselling author Terry Towers;
I accepted the contract even though I knew the subject of the hit. Years had passed, and I no longer cared about anything -- except for the money that would find its way into my bank account. The crosshairs settled on her body -- a body I once knew intimately -- and I felt nothing. I took up the slack on the trigger. Memories counted as nothing, as less than nothing. Three steps to the mark, two steps, one step....
I couldn't do it. My finger refused to pull the trigger.
I needed to know more. Why was she on my list? What I didn't know was that she held a secret, one that would turn my world upside down.
I have to know why she didn't tell me -- even if it means that the next hit is on me.
Note: This is a full-length novel with no cliffhangers and a HEA. Also included is a second full length novel Obsessed.
The Hitman's Secret Love Child Terry Towers & Natasha Tanner ⭐️⭐️
I was kinda browsing and bumped into this book and thought meh I'll give it a try. There are 21 chapters and the development of the story was rather fast. In a thriller action I was expecting some kind of more striking scenes. So to speak I was a little unsatisfied with the ending. I didn't entirely connect with the characters because the story develpment was so fast it was kinda like running in the park. Of course steamy sex was the highlight, but I think that's just it. I like thinking that have I have like 6th sense with books. Well it was just kinda theory of mine. So what I am saying is, when connections with readers and the book clicks, that's it. Whatever genre or theme it would be. Sad to say, there was a little connection made with me and this book. The resolutions was very convinient, Robyn just accidentally shot Gabriel and then done. Just like that. There was not even some kind of confrontation. Constantine disposed of the body and the next thing I know I was already reading the epilouge of the book. So thats what happened. Should've been more.
A second chance romance with some mystery surrounding it. We got to get inside the main character's heads which I love in a story! I need more of Constantine and Robyn's story! I wanted more of an epilogue, but overall I was happy with the ending.
Una segunda oportunidad en el amor pero le faltó sentimiento!
The hitman's secret love child de Terry Towers & Natasha Tanner️
No queda.
Me encantan los romances con segundas oportunidades pero este no.
What's a hitman to do when he finds out his next assignment is to kill the only woman he has ever loved? Constantine has never really forgotten Robyn but can he really go through with killing her. Especially once he realizes she has a child, a child that looks suspiciously like him. This was an enjoyable second chance romance with a hint of suspense.

This book for me was pretty average. When I read the synopsis for this book, I thought with it being a hitman and a drug lord involved it would've been grittier. But it was actually pretty tame for me.
I would've really liked to see how Robyn ended up with the guy who put the hit out on her, as well as learn how Constantine got into the life of a hitman.
I am a real sucker for a second chance romance and this was an excellent example of one. Very well written, loved the bad boy/unknowing dad, Constantine and the mom Robyn. The author gives us just the right amount of back story for us to understand how their relationship began and how it ended and why. Can Robyn trust Constantine to take care of them now? "I need you...I had said the words, I could tell by the fire that flared up in Constantine's eyes, hot and feral. The look in his eyes sparked the desire with me..." "I needed him filling me and bringing me to heights I hadn't experienced in a very long time." "The need of the moment superseded the dangers of tomorrow." Another, hard to put down and suspenseful book, by Terry Towers; I chose to read this book and the opinions stated here are my own and completely unbiased.
I liked this book a lot. The unexpected twists and turns during the story kept me turning the pages. The chemistry between Robyn and Constantine was like a Rollercoaster ride that kept you going. I hope that the future brings better times for both of them and to not have to many more " mistakes" in life. Good book.
I didn't read this book I went for the audiobook and that was my biggest mistake. The narrator screwed it up for me. Her narrations was flat and emotion less. She read it with British accent even though both the hero and heroine were New Yorkers and what's up with these British slangs. Ugh... I bet reading it would have been much better.
i really enjoyed both books. it is hard for me to see authors with so much talent cheapen it with the over done sex scenes. Ms. towers don't need to do that. her writing is so good. her books are what i would pay top price for if it was not for the graphic sex scenes the writers think we readers are interested in. i read the reviews and i know I'm not the only one flipping past that nonsense to get back to the story. i just want the author to know that her talent out shines most and i do better with a little nudge in the sex scenes and nothing you could write can compare to whst my imagination comes up with.
some writers have to put the graphic blow by blow sex in their books for the hand full of women who gets off by that type of thing, because their writing is not good enough to pull it off. ms. towers you don't have that problem. your stories are superior to that kind of crap. dont sully your talent with cheap tricks you dont need to.
i will keep a eye on you and hope you reach the success you deserve.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it! It took me awhile to get into the story but I liked how there were multiple POVs. Constantine and Robyn were high school sweethearts and Robyn left Constantine shortly after prom. About 6 years later he is sent to kill her until he finds out she kept his child a secret from him. So he decides to protect the mother of his child. Once the story got going I found some moments to be humorous and charming while others steamy and sexy. I really liked Constantine, he seemed to be cold and uncaring. In reality he pushed his emotions way down so he could do his job as a contract killer. Once Robyn showed up back in his life and his son Austin he realized that he still cared for her and learned to care for his son. Robyn was married to an evil man and when she wanted to divorce him his hired goon hired Constantine to kill her. Didn't work to his advantage did it?
I enjoyed the story of Constantine and Robyn. Robyn had her life planned out until she got pregnant with a man's baby whom she loves but who couldn't give her what she thought she wanted and what she knew her baby needed. Constantine has only loved one person in his life - Robyn - and she broke his heart when she disappeared without a trace two weeks after the prom and their first time together. Now fate is bringing them back together and neither is ready for the encounter. Robyn mistakenly married a drug dealer and when she realized who he was she left. Constantine has always thought he was nothing and he has chosen a life of crime - he is a hired hitman. When Constantine comes face to face with Robyn and the secret she has kept form him can he carry out the contract or try to save her? In saving her will he let her leave or try to recapture what they had? This is a second chance, one true love book. I received this ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What hitman takes a job to kill his ex love. Constantine of course even though he hasn’t seen her for years after she left town. Robyn the ex has gotten herself into a pickle by messing with the wrong man. She lived the life of luxury until she found out who that man really was. She left Constantine knowing she was pregnant because of his crimes.
Not knowing that the husband she married was a monster . It seems she is good at making horrible decisions then she told her five year old son his father was dead but let him call her husband soon to be ex his dad even though he committed the most horrible crimes and now wants her dead.
So do they get rid of the ex ? Does she tell her on whom is his real father? I they get their happily ever after? This story ended way to abruptly and we don’t really get to see them at least two years later that would have been nice but the story ended and I felt there should have been more.

Robyn has a son Austin, and just left her husband 2 months earlier. She is in touch with the FBI because of who her husband is. Constantine is a hired hitman, he lived in foster care and has always been on the wrong side of the law. Robyn and Constantine were high school sweethearts, his bad boy side attracted her, she winded up pregnant on prom night. Constantine’s new hit is Robyn, he has reservations of the hit and digs deeper into her life. He finds out Austin is his, and he wants to protect both of them from the person who has the hit out on her. With some unexpected twists do Robyn and Constantine get their second chance?
What’s a hitman to do when he finds the name of a former flame on his intended hit list? Well if she wasn’t on his good side, he’d probably take her out of the equation, unless there was another reason why he shouldn’t. And when he finds out the answer to that particular question, well… that just makes the situation that much harder. You like the action, the hitman, the heroine and you especially like the secret. The bad guys were villainous and you really like the way the story unfolded. So if you get the chance check it out and you just might be pleasantly surprised. Steamy and sensitive story I read this book back when it came out and before I began writing reviews on Amazon. I STILL remember it to this day…since 2017! Just looking at the cover, I get chills. Such a good book. If you have read any of the author’s books, you know they are steamy. This one is all that and sensitive too. The description tells you a lot…when he sees the little boy, just as he is about to shoot her, his life changes. But, will it be for the better? This is a worthy read. Do it if you dare!
Hit Man Constantine points his rifle, through a hidden window, at his next victim. He can't believe at whom he is staring. ROBYN! Robyn, the love of his life, who walked away the night of their prom. She was disgusted with his life choices. However, she walked away with a huge secret.
I enjoyed the story up until the super violent shoot out in front of an innocent child. (Way too many lack of editing errors.)
Can there be a second chance in romance for a contract killer, his next mark and their child? Constantine takes a job where he is contracted to kill Robyn who is his girl from years prior. Needless to say he doesn't know they have a child together. There is nothing sexier to a woman than a man and his child(ren). This book is loving and sexy. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
*** I reviewed and ARC of this book. *** More like 3.5 stars but I enjoyed this book. It was well paced and had a good amount of action. The hero was more forgiving than I would have been, but I didn't hate the heroine, even if I didn't agree with her passed actions. That's a bonus for me as I tend to be really hard on heroines.
This was an intense story from beginning to end. From the minute Constantine learned who he was being hired to kill, you can tell he really didn't want to do it. But when he found out about Austin, all bets were off, he was bound and determined to protect them both. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and can't wait to read more of Terry's work. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC of the book.
Constantine is a hitman for hire. Robyn is a single mom that has made bad choices but is trying to make the right ones know. Constantine is conflicted with what he finds out. This was a great read. It was full of surprise's and suspenseful moments.
She loved him years ago, but he is back again. He loved her years ago but he hasn't forgotten her. He has a bad job but not sure if he can quit. But he does have one last job to do
Two exciting stories in one book. The main male characters in these two tales are hit men trying to recapture the love of the women they once fell in love with while in high school. A well written adventure into second chance romance. Should not be passed over.
Both hitman stories were so great. I loved Constantine and Robyn story so much the only thing I wanted more of then but then Elijah and Sidney got me hooked again.
*****I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Review Copy of this book***** What if you were given a contract and couldn't fulfill it? Well that was Constantine Bateman predicament. He was a hired hitman for Gabriel Salvatore, a mob boss and his ex-girlfriend (Robyn Vaughn) husband (Gabriel) had taken out the hit on her. Robyn Vaughn was a little careless young lady filled with wrongful decisions yet she ran from a relationship with Constantine because of his rebellious streak as a teenager. Robyn jumped from the frying pan into the pot with a secret never to be known to Constantine until he approaches her. I have read and loved many of Ms Towers books and this one was no different with exceptional characters and writing. I find myself not caring much for Robyn and her attitude regarding the situation as Constantine tried to rectify the situation. I don't want to give any plot points away but know it's worth reading and waiting for another book by the dual writers.
