Re:Zero, c’est l’histoire d’un homme qui écoute son cœur, un cœur qui refuse d’abandonner.
On voit Subaru se briser, se perdre, mourir des dizaines de fois… mais jamais renoncer. Chaque larme, chaque cri, chaque sacrifice n’a qu’un seul but protéger Emilia, la femme qu’il aime plus que tout.
Là où beaucoup auraient sombré dans le désespoir, Subaru choisit encore et encore de se relever, de souffrir davantage, simplement pour qu’Emilia puisse sourire, simplement parce qu’elle est sa raison de vivre.
J’aime tellement cette habitude.
Dernier truc très important et qui m’a vraiment marqué, c’est Subaru qui nous rappelle une valeur trop souvent oubliée aujourd’hui, l’honneur.
Trop d’hommes ont perdu ce sens de l’honneur. Ils fuient la responsabilité, ils préfèrent céder à la facilité plutôt que de souffrir pour ce qui compte.
Dans un monde où l’ego est devenu synonyme d’arrogance ou de superficialité, Subaru nous montre vrmt qu’il peut être comme un moteur, quelque chose qui pousse à se dépasser, à se sacrifier pour ceux qu’on aime. Là où beaucoup d’hommes et de femmes qui se contentent de fuir ou de chercher la facilité, Subaru incarne l’effort, la persévérance, et cette fierté de se battre pour quelque chose de plus grand que soi. Et ça c’est beau

Welcomed to the next save point of a real world boy turned servant in the name of love in a fantasy world. For those that are unaware this series is broken up in Chapters and each chapter is the continuing story of Subaru who one day somehow slipped into the fantasy world on the way home from the convenience store. Little did he know that there is a mysterious dark power within him tht will not let him die outright. Instead every time he dies (which happens a bit) he returns to an earlier point in his life and has to relive his days again as best he can to so he doesn't lose precious memories with his friends (who of course don't remember anything) and the worse part is the very same power won't let him tell others what he can do. Oh , and this story is rated Teen due to some violence and occasional grisly death so if you want to get this for younger children please use restraint until they are old enough to handle such things.
After helping to overcome a death curse in chapter 2 Subaru has gained the respect and admiration of the twin demon maids Rem and Ram (more notably Rem) and the day starts with Subaru, Rem, and Emilia going to the capital for the royal selection conference which will decide who will be the 42nd queen of Lugunicia and so Subaru can be healed properly after battling the demon beasts in Chapter 2. We finally get to see the other queen candidates (along with a surprise one from chapter 1) and as usual Subaru gets himself in trouble thinking with his heart instead of his head so time will tell if things get fatal but for now Subaru's death count is being rest back to zero for this chapter. :)
My favorite part of the book is when Rem comes to the rescue of Subaru and Emilia and Subaru tells her not to kill them. It is kind of her that she only half killed the baddies in response. :)

Okay folks, the events at the manor are over and done with and in this volume we head right on back to the Capital. I really feel like this is the volume where things start to kick off. Things certainly start to get interesting either way.
Subaru, Rem and Emilia head off for The Royal Selection, and along the way we bump in to a new character. Priscilla. She's one of the other candidates for Queen, and she's a bit....strange. If not a little bit crazy. Interestingly enough her companion Al is like Subaru which is going to prove to be an interesting point in the plot, I think!
There's actually quite a few new characters in this volume, because we meet the other Queen candidates Anastasia, Crusch...and a familiar face. Felt. Plot twist am I right?! The other candidates are certainly an interesting bunch and really liven up the story with some fresh faces. Each of them has an interesting personality, and plan for what they want to do and I'm excited to see more of them and get to know more.
Reinhard returns too, along with Julius and Rom and it's nice to see these characters haven't been forgotten about! We get a nice amount of new information on the world, and things have certainly gotten interesting, shall we say! As the Royal Selection begins, we get to know all of the different motivations for the different parties, and I'm excited to see what's going to happen next and how it's going to play out.
I have to say, I really want a dragon carriage! I loved how they where drawn, and it was such a fun addition! The art for the Capital is completely gorgeous too! Things are moving at a nice pace, but I feel like with this chapter we're hitting one of the main parts of the story and things are going to get very interesting!

Very regret to read this book, since reading the most hated male protagonist, no one. Because it is translated, it is also boring to read (a common fault of light novels).

This is an intriguing competition for the queen's throne. It features new characters and an unexpected twist. The artwork is as stunning as always, and it's enough to make you want to know more.
