Are You Overwhelmed by Stress, Worry, and Anxiety?

I am a great fan of Joseph Prince and find his teachings to be Biblically sound. Life would be so much easier if we'd all learn to cast our cares and worries on the Lord. Just believe, receive His many blessings and rest in His safe and secure outstretched arms. Joseph Prince drives this message home and to the heart in this book. I savored every word and will keep it close at hand for reference. One of my favorite parts of the book are the reminders to meditate on scriptures that speak to your situation or difficulty. In doing so, we can truly rest in His promises and be at peace.
We’ve all seen the t-shirts, tote bags and coffee mugs that boast, “Too blessed to be stressed.” Maybe you even have one. (I do, too!) But after we pour the caffeine into our favorite mug, or, look in the mirror while wearing a cute shirt, reality begs for an answer to the question, “How do we actually live that way?” Joseph Prince’s new Book, Live The Let-Go Life, he teaches us how to do just that - overcome the pressure and demands of life with Bible based solutions.
I’ve always liked Pastor Prince’s books because he can take a topic you’ve heard preached your whole life and teach it in a way you’ve never heard before. Live The Let-Go Life is no exception. Though this book is all about giving your burdens to Jesus, you’ll never see Prince write the generic “give your problems to the Lord and everything will be okay.” He writes with a genuine, easy to read style, yet, his words are powerfully saturated with deep truths from God’s Word. When you finish it, it’s the examples and deep study of these passages that will give you faith to believe life doesn’t have to be riddled with worry and stress. And I loved that. It was realm but unpredictable.
Another thing that kind of surprised me, but was appropriate, were the examples Pastor Prince used from his own life of how he had learned to overcome stress. Multiple times he shared how he and his wife do certain things to unwind after a long day at church and have other guidelines to help balance work and rest. It was all so practical! Maybe that’s why the book came across so real to me - it wasn’t just teaching, it was sharing.
Conclusion: Stress in life is a broad topic. You can have stress for multiple reasons; work, marriage, kids, etc. That’s why I loved how the author laid a foundation of what the Word teaches on worry, cares and anxiety in the first half of the book, and then had a few chapters at the end on specific topics, like, marriage, parenting and old age. As mentioned above, Prince used a lot of examples from his own life about overcoming stress, and I felt like that gave the book a personal feel. And, it was also nice to know that these weren’t just his ideas, but rather, he’s lived them out and know they work! It was very refreshing to read this book and hear that we should give our burdens to the Lord because He cares for us in a special way, and not just because it’s the Christian thing to do. That’s what Prince does best in his books - casts you upon the goodness of God! Regardless of what stage of life you are in, Live The Let-Go Life has plenty of encouragement and ideas of how you can start living worry free today.
I’ve listened to Pastor Prince a few times on television, but I’ve never read any of his books. When I saw this one, I knew it was one I needed to check out, as the topic looked like one I’d be able to identify with on many levels … and I was correct.
The author grabs the reader’s attention with the first paragraph. Prince includes numerous personal stories, as well as testimonies others have shared with him. He uses these to illustrate the various points. Biblical truths are infused throughout the book.
In today’s society, it’s hard to not feel anxious at times. In this book, Prince tries to show the reader that it is possible to release those problems to God and live the “let-go life” God wants us to have. He points out the destructive power of stress, often called a “silent killer.” There were so many things in this book that jumped out at me, and I highlighted many passages that I will go back to when I need to be reminded to just “let go” of my worries.
this book has really changed my life. as someone with severe anxiety and depression this study was really helpful. joseph prince explains things in a way no one else has to me before and makes it so easy to understand and wrap my head around. i would really, really recommend this to any christian with anxiety or stress in their life. definitely going to check out his other books!
A most timely topic, dread, fear, worry, anxiety is discussed and countered by the Biblucal teachings of peace . Powerful, vivid concepts of God's care is illustrated showing the way to quell the terrors that attack the mind. This writing teaches the reader the way to turn unease into perfect rest.
Wonderful book with corroborating testimonies of God’s promises when we let go.
We know that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. God wants us to focus on hearing. What stood out in the book and is a new revelation for me, “ How then shall they call on Him who they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a PREACHER?” (Roman’s 10:14) The Bible makes it clear that faith comes by hearing a preacher who brings the word of Christ. “It pleased God by the foolishness of PREACHING to save them that believe.” (1 Cor 1:21) The words to save are translated from Greek word sozo which means to “save, heal, preserve, rescue”. Never discount the importance of hearing from a preacher. Yes, we must have relationship with our Lord, we must be in the Word, but we must also HEAR, just like Mary. Jesus said to Martha, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen the good part which will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41-42)
Awesome and uplifting Jesus centric book yet again helping believers understand even better how much our ABBA Daddy/God really does adore and relentlessly pursue us. I highly recommend any and every book by Joseph a Prince!
Incredible book. I’ve read more than my fair share of self help books but this is nothing like that at all. Firmly grounded in the Word of God, this book has taught me how to see things in a Christ-centered perspective, to rely on Jesus and not myself.
Be still, and know that I am God – Psalm 46:10 Take care of the knots on the inside, and the knots on the outside will be supernaturally untied. Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you- 1 Peter 5:7 And which of you by worrying can add one hour to his life’s span? Luke 12:25 Our Lord Jesus loves you so much, He wants you to cast all your cares to Him. God is always supplying by His grace. Our part is to let go and let His supply flow. The love of my heavenly Father and Jesus became so true in my heart that I just knew everything was going to be fine. Whenever the bills were due, I would hear Him tell me, “Take no thoughts for tomorrow, my grace is sufficient for you”. Your worrying is hindering your receiving. Let go. When we let go and release our worries to Him, He will uphold us. Matthew 6:25-26 When we worry, we are saying, “I’ve got this!” when we let go of our worries, we are saying, “God, You’ve got this!”. God promises to deliver us from the snare of the fowler. God paid for your redemption with the blood of His Son. That is how much He values and loves you! The degree to which we worry about provision today is directly related to how much we believe we are loved and valued by our heavenly Father. We have a heavenly Father who values us and will take care of all our practical needs. Money can’t buy you health. Divine health comes only from the Lord. Jesus has already paid the price so you can declare that by His stripes, you are healed. I no longer worry, but I just cast my cares on Him and receive His favor. Fear and oppression are far from me. As you refuse to let your heart be troubled, the grace of God flows unhindered to you in every area. The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit – Romans 14:17 Knowing that you are righteous in Christ gives you the assurance to let go of your cares and anxieties to the Lord. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him – 2 Corinthians 5:21. The more you understand His righteousness, the less you will struggle to let go of your cares to Him. Every blessing promised to the righteous is yours because your Savior has paid the price. Keep listening to the gospel of grace until you know all the blessings of the righteous belongs to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things- Matthew 6:34 It’s because He wants you to enjoy today. Our heavenly Father desires for us to live a long, good life marked by blessings and health. Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go” Isaiah 48:17 When you come to Jesus, He will give you rest. He will cause all things to work together for our good as we rest in Him. Because you have a heavenly Father, you don’t have to keep striving, rushing and pushing to get ahead. Our Lord Jesus wants to give you rest and a peace that surpasses understanding. Jesus was always restful, never hurried. This is what the rhythm of grace looks like. The only labor that God tells us to pay attention to is the labor to enter His rest. When we abide in Him, we can have restful increase, not stressful increase. The more you sit under anointed teaching that lifts you up and washes you, the more fruit you’ll bear. The Creator of the heavens and the earth Himself rested. Who are we to think that we cannot afford to rest? God wants our day to begin with rest. God did not design man to journey alone. We need kingdom friendships that are replenishing. Rest is not doing nothing. It is not inactivity; it is activity directed by the spirit of God. No matter how long you have been suffering, there is hope in Jesus. When God tells us to rest, it is for our good. God’s way is this: Begin in rest, work out of rest, and continue in His rest. The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool, Psalm 110:1. You don’t have to fight your enemies. The Lord has already won the victory. The promised land He wants to bring you into is the place of His rest. Place your confidence not in what you see, but in what God has promised in His word. He is inviting you to step out of your place of fear and anxiety and into a realm of peace. The peace that Jesus gives us is a peace that surpasses human understanding, a peace that guards our hearts and minds. The Holy Spirit teaches us through the presence or absence of peace. The same peace that our Lord Jesus possesses has been given to you. God's best for us is to walk in His divine health by going into His peace and remaining there. We are not trying to get His peace- His peace is already our portion. The Lord bequeathed to us as our inheritence His very own health, provision, and peace. Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord- 2 Peter 1:2 May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. The favor and shalom of God are multiplied in our lives through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. If our hearts are troubled, His peace cannot flow out. If you refuse to allow your heart to be troubled by casting your cares to the Lord, the enemy cannot touch you. Your only responsibility is to take care of your heart on the inside and He will take care of your outside. The demand and requirement for the payment of our sins was exacted from Christ, so that peace might come on us. When you don't know what to pray, the Holy Spirit helps us in our weaknesses and makes intercession for us as we pray in the Spirit. Philippians 4:6-7 Only the Lord Jesus can give you true peace that is rugged, strong, abiding, and unaffected by outward circumstances. If it's a miracle you need, a miracle you will get- if you remain in peace. Guard your heart with His peace on the inside of you and God will guard everything else. Jesus has paid the price for your shalom. Because of that, you don't have to be full of cares and worries. Until you have a settled peace in your conscience, you cannot freely receive what the Lord Jesus has purchased for you. Nothing- and no one- can seperate you from the love of Christ. I declared, " I am the righteousness of God in Christ." I also told myself that I shouldn't rely on my own willpower and to tell God, " I cannot, but You can." Still, I continued praying and I kept telling God, " I really don't know how, but I know I'm relyin on You." The more I let go of my own efforts and trusted Him, the more my mind became sound. Where I was worried about my eternal salvation, I started having a confident expectation of good for my life. All we have to do to receive peace with God is to believe by faith in Him who made it possible. Let's have greater faith in God's promises to protect and provide for us than in negative reports. At the cross, the divine exchange took places- Jesus was punished and cursed so that we can be blessed. Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; thereby good will come to you -Job 22:21 You don't have to be afraid of problems in your tomorrows because you have a God who goes before you to lead you and clear the way for you. Worrying cannot add even one cubit to our stature, but trusting in Him can result in miracles. Put your trust in Him and He will provide exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think. While it is important to do our best and be excellent in all that we do, our trust has to be in the Lord. We can work but be relaxed. We can labor without stress and enjoy our Savior. Don't let your past cripple you from stepping into His promises for you today. Don't stay up and stay stressed out--let Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps take over. If something does not work out, believe that the Lord is setting you up for something greater! Sit still, my daughter, until you know how the matter will turn out; for the man will not rest until he has concluded the matter this day. I
The night before, Ruth had gone to Boaz at Naomi's advice and had said to Boaz, "Take your maidservant under your wing, for you are a close relative" (Ruth 3:9). But Ruth was not sure if Boaz would redeem her. And that's when Naomi told Ruth to sit still, because Naomi knew that Boaz had fallen in love with Ruth and he would not rest until he had concluded the matter to his satisfaction. And we know how the story ends. Boaz marries Ruth and they became the great-grandparents of King David and became a part of the natural ancestry of our Lord Jesus. I have taught a whole series on this beautiful story called The Love Story of Ruth.° Boaz is a picture of our Lord Jesus, who came as a man so that He could be our kinsman Redeemer (see Eph. 1:7). Beloved, whatever you are going through today, you can put your trust in your Redeemer. You can sit still because He will not rest until He has redeemed you from that trouble. God told the children of Israel, "I will redeem you with an outstretched arm" (Ex. 6:6), and that is literally how our Lord Jesus redeemed us. As we stay in His rest, the Lord will cause all things to go well with us. The Lord delights in blessing you because He loves you. We cannot flow in God's supply of wisdom unless we rest in Him. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of Christ! God wants us to focus on hearing. If a particular sermon spoke to you, get that message and listen to it again and again. Every temptation to snare us back into stress is an attempt to knock us from our place of faith in Christ. If your mind is weighed down by cares, the best thing you can do is to saturate yourself with the Word of God. But those who wait on the LoRD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 God is constantly supplying us with miracles. Our part is to let go, listen to His Word, and let His supply flow. Make sure you are hearing the word of His grace. In Christ, we have been redeemed from the curse and don't have to live in fear and hopelessness. We live the let-go life by letting go of our worries and replacing them with God's Word. Meditation is like rumination. After you read God's Word, bring it up and chew on it again and again. When you are being attacked by worrisome thoughts, meditating on His Word is the best remedy. If God already gave us His best when He gave us Jesus, what is the rest to Him? The more we need to accomplish in a day, the more we can't afford not to spend time with the Lord and meditate on His Word. Don't just gobble down God's Word; take some time each day to really meditate on the verses that you hear or read. To have "days of heaven upon the earth" is a promise we can cling to and walk in a greater measure of in the days to come. Every marriage needs a "third party" in order to thrive. His name is Jesus. One moment of His favor can turn your whole marriage around. If you are not satisfied with your marriage- _the passion and joy has run out--ask the Lord for more of His grace in your marriage. As you experience His undeserved and unmerited love, I believe the Lord can cause you to be an even better spouse than ever before. Our Father in heaven desires to see our children successful, stress-free, and healthy. God wants us to teach our children about His words so that our days and their days may be like days of heaven on earth. Keep on telling them about your wonderful Jesus, who loves them unconditionally even when they fail. The best thing we can do for our wayward children is to let go of them and release them into the Lord's arms of love. It is never too late for God to turn things around in the lives of your children. The greatest thing you can do for your children is to surrender them to Jesus. God can cause your children to be at the right place at the right time and save them from destruction. If you want to live long, let your heart not be troubled, neither let it be afraid. If you are going through medical treatment today, counter any possible side effects with the Word of God. God wants you to enjoy a long, fulfilling, and healthy life. There's a reviving, purifying, resuscitating, and rejuvenating power in God's Word.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication; with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Our longevity is not based on what we need to do but dependent on Jesus, who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving. The more of Jesus you see in the Word, the more you will live long. He is the strong tower you can run to when your enemies surround you. Trust in His love for you, no matter what challenges may surround you. God loves you, and He cares for you practically. God seeks us out to strengthen us during our time of discouragement. When you can't see, trust. Trust in the invisible, infallible God who loves you. When you are feeling discouraged and have no faith, just tell it to Jesus.
Truly a needful read for all in today’s stress driven world!
This book has the answer for stress....and it’s in letting go of our worries and stresses and trusting a loving Jesus to take care of us! That is the short answer, but this book expounds on that statement and is a revealing read on the scripture’s prescription for worry and stress. Joseph Prince explains scripture in such a way that touches the heart and opens our understanding of the Word of God. God has truly gifted him with that ability. God is using this book to help me through one of the most stressful times in my life. Highly recommend it!
Curiosity level: A curiously refreshing take on living (Christian review) • “And which of you by worrying can add one hour to his life’s span?” (Luke 12:25) • This is one book I think every Christian Singaporean (or Singaporean) should read! Fraught with worries about trains breaking down, struggling to get yourself (then your kids) into top schools, balloting for HDBs, feeling bummed about increasing prices of food and standard of living, and the unconscious need for 5Cs (Condo, car, credit card, cash, country club membership), its a wonder any of us can sleep at night! For me, I can hardly relax without having to-do lists popping up in my head every 30 seconds (unless they’re completed ha) • This is where Pastor Joseph Prince, a Singaporean who knows how life in Singapore can be so hectic and overly driven, comes in to share what living a life of rest and graced-rhythm means. It’s not about what you have but WHO you have with you in life. For sure your anxieties and jadedness will MELT away as you read this heartfelt book because... it has so much of God’s heart for you in it, so much wisdom and practical truth. • Book style: you feel like you’re being ushered into genuine conversations with this pastor and God! He intersperse his writing with wonderful testimonials and writes in an incredibly relatable and down to earth manner. I love his heart for the people and for God - reading this has constantly given me strength in a busy world! I love his non-preachy writing style and genuineness. More than anything, his book ironically SHOWS and not just TELLS you how much God loves you, His beloved :) this book is like my peace haven 🐣🐣🐣
I am the worrier in my home. It seems as if my husband happily skips through life without much awareness of how the bills get paid or how day-to-day problems are handled. I believe I am, for the most part, a bit calmer than he is at handling things, but I worry. There are times, I have been up for hours stressing about a situation that has come up, so I have to say, that this book was certainly meant for people like me.
After the first few chapters, I felt a huge sense of relief and freeness. I’ve always liked the Bible verse that says that God will cover me with his feathers. It brings to mind as much comfort as a warm blanket and someone to care for me so I can relax. (Psalm 91:1-4) One of the best things for me was how Joseph put that in this book along with the verse about how God cares so much for sparrows that not even one could fall to the ground without God knowing, and we are of so much more value. Add to all this, the verse that states that we are not to worry about tomorrow. How much of this I had never accepted as completely true for me. How hard I have worked to stay in control of everything in my family’s life, and never turned to God and let go of it all.
This book was filled with so much wisdom for me, and it wasn’t a book I could rush through. I’ve highlighted sections and wrote down bits and pieces that I will refer to often. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to read it. I’ve made a note that I need to read this book again and again. I recommend it for all those who hold to too tightly to the everyday problems of life.
I began reading Live the Let-Go Life with great anticipation and a heart open to Pastor Prince’s teachings. As a result, this book has been invaluable at a difficult time when I dearly needed to enter into God’s rest. At the same time I was reading the book, I was also following along with Joseph Prince’s sermons on television where he teaches on the same subject. It has been a blessing! I practice daily to release my cares to God. I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t benefit from this book, especially in the crazy, fast-paced world we live in. There are many passages I have underlined and written down to share with family and friends and to say in my own prayers. There are simple things you can do, simple prayers to pray, that can change your life and yet many don’t or won’t bother with them because they believe it’s just too easy. Thank you Pastor Prince! This book has opened up my eyes.
Many of us are struggling with stress, worry and anxiety with so many challenges in our world today. In Live The Let-Go Life by Joseph Prince, Prince uses Scripture and other stories to help readers learn to live free from stress, worry and anxiety and find a more fulfilled life in Christ.
Some of the chapters in Live the Let-Go Life are: Just Look at the Birds, The Rhythm of Rest, Tune In to Peace, Above All Things, Guard Your Heart, Becoming a Person of Rest, and Stress-Free Parenting. Each chapter looks at Scripture related to the topic and Prince uses stories to illustrate how God has worked in other believer's lives.
As a whole, I found Live the Let-Go Life to be uplifting and encouraging to me as I seek to live for God and deal with the every day stresses of life. I think there would be helpful information in this book for most people. Prince does encourage me to look to God as I face struggles versus giving in to worrying. However, if I am honest, I had some mixed feelings about Prince sharing some of the stories that he shared because it sounded like one had to listen to his sermons to really gain a blessing from the Lord. I doubt if he meant for it to come across this way. I am not usually a listener of Prince as we don't get him in our area on television, but I believe this book also goes along with a sermon series of the same title. In the back of the book, Prince lists the audio messages that correspond with the chapters so readers can listen to corresponding material in podcasts, and that may be helpful if you aren't a regular listener. If you are a regular follower of Prince, I am sure you will enjoy Live the Let-Go Life.
I received Live the Let Go Life by Joseph Prince from Faithwords/Hachette Book Group. I was not required to write a positive review in exchange for the book.
If he feeds the birds of the air and takes care of lilies of the field, how much more will He take care of you INDEED!!!
I believe that coming across this book is not just a mere coincidence but the Lord providing His wisdom and blessings, and I'd like to thank Joseph Prince for being a wonderful instrument of God.
I've known this author for a while now, since I used to hear his sermons until we moved to another country. He's the most popular pastor that I know and now it is no wonder he, his family, and his ministries have been so blessed and grew enormously well in the previous years, and it is because he preaches the true words of the Lord and explains them detail by detail without any mixture of sort. All the things that he's written in this book is an utter enlightenment. HIS WORDS are eye-opening, and I'm forevermore grateful to have read this book and for receiving His grace.
Open your heart, LISTEN AND TALK! For when you listen to His words do you receive grace, and for when you talk to Him do you surrender your burdens, worries, stress, and anxieties. He is the TRUE rest, the ever so flowing supply of water, and the omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He knows what you're going through, what's worrying you, and what goes through your mind and soul, just surrender.
HUMAN LOVE CAN RUN OUT, BUT HIS LOVE IS UNDYING! Lay in Him, and you will not be disappointed. All we have to do is to have faith, for what grace gives, rest keeps. Rest in Him, for He will handle all the worries in every single area of your life.
Joseph Prince is an excellent writer. He has certainly done his homework in this book, writing about meanings of words in both Greek and Hebrew. He gives biblical examples of answers to prayer and modern day ones. This book was extremely helpful to me.
Joseph Prince made one mistake in this book, one many pastors have made. In Chapter 13 "Stand Still" he quotes from Luke 22:44 "His sweat became like great drops of blood . . . ." writing about Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane. The quote is accurate, but Prince, in discussing it, neglects to refer to the word "like" in the quote and discusses it as if Jesus actually sweated blood. He didn't. As the quote says "His sweat became like great drops of blood." This is a common mistake people make in this passage, neglecting to pay attention to the simile, "like."
I received this book from a family member, who thought that i might benefit from its message. he's right; i did. And it is probably a good message for most people, esp if they are OK with the Christian message. I do think it is a good thing to learn how to relax and to "let go" of things that we aren't meant to handle by ourselves, and who else than God or whatever eternal all-knowing Being you believe in. From a secular standpoint, there is more limited benefit to reading this, but some of the practices can probably be adapted, things like watching our for your stress/ cortisol levels, getting enough sleep, having good habits, all true things. I think most people will agree that you don't live your best life by being a stress-bucket 24/7/365 (but just enough so that you meet your deadlines or other important dates/ events). Overall, good message but wasn't crazy about the delivery.
God bless Joseph Prince! This book is life changing and touches upon so many scriptures in the Bible that have now been planted in my heart. This book is not a one time read but a must read for anytime you need a reminder of Gods grace and love for you. I’ve learn through Pastor Prince’s teachings to cast all my cares to God and live with the peace that God is taking care of my worries and burdens. Oh how wonderful to have that revelation. Let Go and Let God! Let God take care of it. There is nothing too big or too small for God to handle. Seek him in all that pertains to your life. What an awesome read. Highly recommended!
This book spoke of God’s grace and His love. As stated in the title, it encourages readers to let go of the burdens that so easily weigh us down. Joseph Prince, the author, shares verses and testimonies of many people to illustrate how we can do just that.
I started this book over a year ago then put it down. I want to read it again straight through. Truthfully, I do believe that this is a book that I will return to often when I need to shift my focus and let go of the cares of the world. It is so easy to begin to focus on the wrong thing. “I can’t, but God can.”
"Live the Let-Go Life" focused on God's amazing grace toward us and how that changes how we deal with situations that could cause us stress and anxiety. It's very Bible-based, and he quoted many verses (in correct context) to support what he was saying. He comes from a bit more of a 'God wants to pour blessings like health and wealth on you if you'll let him' background that influences his views, but I generally agree with what he teaches. I think everyone would benefit from hearing about or being reminded of God's wonderful, amazing grace toward us, and this book does a good job of that.
I loved the message of grace that was woven throughout the book. Often times, we place so many expectations on ourselves that we forget that we need to let go and turn things over to God. Trying to control everything is exhausting. The book addresses health, fear, family, relationships and depression. There is testimonies through out the book from others who have experienced the freedom and abundant blessings by letting go.
This book would be good for someone new to the Word of Faith movement. It is a summary of what had been he taught the last 40 or 50 years. It does not break any new ground, but is a decent review.
My advice to the reader is to understand that there is no magic wand. I spent many years in the Charismatic movement. I have seen victories, but I have seen times when things did not go as one would wish. We just have to trust that God knows best.
It brings to life what real rest means. We are to hand it all over to the Lord. All the worries, stresses and let him take them upon himself. This is very hard to do but certainly trying to learn. Can we really change it by the worry? I don't think we can. Certainly willing to try, also speaking to him on a daily basis. In whatever format. I have heard multiple ways but I hope he is listening in anyway we do it.
This book has a lot of good ideas to help you get through day to day life with less stress and anxiety. I liked some of the ideas, but the author leans a lot on god, which just isn't my thing. If you don't mind the religious aspect, this book can help you live a more worry-free life. I won this through first reads.
Pastor prince is a man from God to guide, teach , build and to tell the real , true heart of God towards mankind , I have never seen a man of God like him, every time I hear him preaching about jesus christ life flows in me , I don't have words to say because it limits him in my words , all I can say is thank you jesus for Joseph prince
His theology is not my theology - saved by God’s Grace (yes), once saved always saved (no) - Jesus tells us to take up our cross daily, which presumes that whilst His Grace is available daily, the journey to the showing and sharing our love for Him is one that will develop and grow your faith!
Notwithstanding this, I learned a lot. I found this a relaxing read.
A book packed with treasures to clarify, renew and bring to light a new perspective about letting go. Worth buying, it will speak to you at various times of your life.
I personally think this book is the best of his books I read. It’s less on just sharing testimonies, more deep on teaching, and the teaching on how to apply the Word practically in the life, in the world
