365 Days of Art is an inspiring journal designed to help readers and budding artists nurture their creativity and explore their feelings through the medium of art. Featuring an activity for every day of the year, from simple tasks like drawing shapes and lines, to more mindful exercises like coloring-in, painting with primary colors, and drawing what you see. With beautiful, vibrant hand-lettering and watercolor illustrations, the book pairs inspiring quotes with supportive prompts and exercises to spark reflection through your drawing, writing, painting and more.
This is one of the best guided journals I've used, and I'm a major collector of guided journals. Buy two copies if you can't stand writing in books, but try it -- it's actually very therapeutic.
Tip #1: Write the date on each page when you work on it.
Tip #2: The "365 days" don't have to be sequential OR continuous.
I just pick up this book and flip to a random page when I want a creative spark. I add the date, and it's fun to flip back through later.
Lovely book. I've had it for around 4 months now and I'm really enjoying picking a page at random and doodling, colouring or trying out my calligraphy. The book makes you use your imagination to get the creative juices flowing but also leads you so that if you're having an unimaginative day, you can still pick it up and spend a couple of minutes unleashing your artistic style.
I still have a way to go, but I am thoroughly enjoying the book. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves art but can get stuck for inspiration.
Very good incentive to do a wee bit of art every day. However, the format is small and my eyesight has deteriorated, so I had to give up doing the actual exercises. Doesn't stop me from filling pages with larger, messier, unrelated daubs!
Un libro muy entretenido para sacar tu lado más creativo. Está compuesto por 365 actividades, una para cada día del año, aunque en mi caso lo voy completando en mis ratos libres.
A wonderful book, very helpful for getting over a creative block or just keeping you active when you have no project to work on. This book has kept me sane in an insane world.
