A little bit about me: I was born in Zaragoza, Spain, though my parents are from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, I've moved more than twenty times. I went to school in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Puerto Rico and I'm bilingual and bicultural. I've spent the last thirteen years raising my fun, inspiring boys while working from home. My greatest joys are spending time with family and close friends and coming up with characters and interesting situations.

Charming, sweet and quirky are all words to describe this romantic comedy. Although they basically grew up together in the same town, Jamie and Nick moved in different circles, except when it came to hockey matches where Jamie yelled insults from the sidelines. Finding a new school for her twin boys has them looking at each other with adult eyes, especially when Nick finds Jamie in an extremely awkward situation. As their attraction develops for one another, not everyone is happy about it, but that is not the only reason that Nick and Jamie struggle to admit their feelings. I found this novel an enjoyable change of pace as it made me laugh and left me with a warm glow. It is also a standalone and comes to a happy close. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.

This was an absolutely charming contemporary romance (okay, I know corny). Within about 10 minutes of reading the book, I started searching online to see if the author had a backlist, and downloaded one, so I could begin once I finished this.

Both the hero and the heroine have been married before. The heroine has young twin boys, while the hero's daughter is getting ready to leave for college. They have a meet-cute, feel an instant attraction, and thus take an almost instant dislike to each other. Neither of them wants to get involved with anyone else right now.

The book is filled with a lot of great secondary characters, and I would love to see another romance set in this town, so that we could see how Jamie, Nick, and the whole crew are getting along.

This is B+ for me, and I look forward to reading other books by the author.

This was a very sweet romance story. It was one of those contemporary romance stories that could actually be true. What I mean by that, is there wasn’t the overly dramatic chemistry and desire on either the hero or heroine’s parts that make you think no one meets and falls in love like that in real life. It was more of a slow to boil romance and that really fit the characters and the place the characters were at in their lives.

Nick and Jamie meet for the first time when she has an appointment with Nick, the headmaster of the private school Jamie would like her son’s to attend. Their first meeting doesn’t go as well as it could have; however, Jamie still feels that Grey Private Elementary is where her boys should be so she enrolls them. For the fall semester, Jamie and Nick do this back and forth thing where they enjoy each other’s friendship but when things get too close for comfort they try and back off from one another. After all, he is leaving in a couple of months to travel the world for a year (his daughter has just gone off to college) and she doesn’t want a man in her life since she is focusing on raising her twin sons. Of course, we can’t always plan who we fall in love with…

This book was well written and I enjoyed the interactions of the family and friends involved in Nick and Jamie’s lives. I thought the kids in the book added to the story very well, too. The hockey rivalry between Jamie’s Brother Justin and Nick was fun to watch throughout the book. I wanted to hurry up the story, but not in the sense that it was slow reading. I just wanted Nick and Jamie to admit their feelings for each other that everyone around them could already see that had for one another! If you are looking for a sweet, clean, romance story that has strong family ties in it, give this book a try!

Jamie has moved back to Autumn Falls to raise her twins close to her family. After loosing her husband two years before and for reasons she will not tell just anybody, she is determined to raise her twin five year-old sons by herself and not allow any man into her life. She wants to just live in peace, take care of her kids and continue making a success of her charms.

Nick is the headmaster of the private elementary school where Jamie is going to enroll her twins. He feels burned out and tired after all his hard work to earn a PhD and bringing-up his daughter. Now that his daughter is ready for college, he plans on taking a year off to travel the world. He wants to have what he didn’t get to have after finishing college because he had a child to raise.

When Jamie and Nick meet there is an instant attraction that neither will accept nor condone. And with the rivalry between Nick and Jamie’s brother, how can there be anything between Jamie and Nick? But it will take a lot of courage from both to allow someone new into their lives.

With the meddling of friends, family and children these two may just find that giving love a second chance is worth everything.

Nick and Jamie’s romance is slow to happen but chemistry and good old fashion meddling will bring them together even if they don’t want to.

This is a charmingly sweet romance with warmth and humor that you will enjoy throughout the book. It has become one of my favorites and I hope it becomes one of yours. ☺

I’m a huge fan of Inés Saint, and Charmed delivers the kind of excellent story I’ve come to expect from this author. Charmed’s sassy heroine, Jamie, overcomes her personal tragedy with grace, and it’s easy to see why the hero, Nick, falls in love with her. Saint has a unique gift: she is able to create a wonderful sense of family for her characters, and she extends that family to include her readers. By the end of the book, I was reluctant to say goodbye to the wonderful members of the Viera family, and I know their vivid personalities will linger in my memory for quite some time.

I completely adored Ine’s Saint’s skillfully woven romance novel, Charmed. This is one of those sit back, put your feet up and enjoy stories about real characters, real life and second chances. Right away, I felt for the widowed Jamie and her two young twin boys. The attraction between her and the smooth, witty Nick was believable and adorable. I loved the artistry of Jamie’s profession, and the way Saint paints a setting for the readers. This book is way up there on my list of recommendations!

What a nice discovery! I read my first book from this author and let me tell you, it won’t be my last one. The way the author works her characters and brings them to reality is heartwarming. A must read!

This story hit it out of the park. Main characters were strong, likable and without bitterness. Even the H's ex-wife was so supportive of the H finding true love that she won my 'best supporting ex' mental award. His teenage daughter: another winner. The h's dead husband had the unfortunate experience of dying before she could divorce the cheating bum which left her with a huge amount of baggage, anger, guilt and insecurities. Her in-laws were first class losers and the father-in-law deserved a restraining order. Interesting that the mother-in-law was to her husband what the h's husband wanted her to be for him: controlled, quiet, no threat. The h's parents, sons and brother: winners.

The relationship built slowly, the feelings and the love were allowed to form on a good foundation of friendship, respect and letting go of the past.

Well written. The kindle version had many words that were meshed together but understandable. Don't know if this was in the editing or the formatting but there were more than a dozen instances where this occurred.

Highly recommend for a rainy aftrnoon.

A truly charming story!

He's the headmaster of her twins's school. Jamie knew they shouldn't be friends—let's not even talk about dating. What would people say? That her kids get preferential treatment because of their relationship, and then she'd have to transfer school as a result? Nope. She couldn't risk it. Best part of it all, her brother and Nick used to be, and still are, rivals on the ice, which makes for some fun entertainment when the two men are forced to be around each other in this lighthearted story.

I started reading this novel a while back, then found it again on my kindle. I'm glad I did. If you enjoy sweet small town romances that'll make you smile but also have some serious elements in them, you'll love Charmed.

Charmed: A Romantic Comedy

This really was a good book,it kept my interest the whole way through it.
The only thing I didn’t care for is the fact she(the author) needs a new proofreader! Words were run together all the time and distracted me from enjoying this as much as I should. If she wants a new proofreader,I’m sure I could do a better job and I’m just a prolific reader!
But back to the book,it really was good with precocious twins that made it more fun!I hope lots of people read this and enjoy it as much as I did!

Sweet Story of Second Chances

This is a wonderfully, sweet story of a widow's second chance at love. Jaime comes home to her family with her twin 5 year olds after the death of her husband. She is hurt and doesn't trust people. Nick is the head master at her boys' new school. Sparks fly, but neither wants a relationship. Both have to figure out if they are willing to take a chance and trust, or walk away. Someone needs to reedit the story for words that need a space between them. It about drove me crazy!

Good romance

I really liked this story. It was funny and sweet, and you really feel a push for a happy ending. I might even have given it a five for a romance. But.... there was so many words and sentences that ran together, it drove me nuts. I can’t believe I looked up the word ‘cologneit’ because I had never seen it before, and felt pretty stupid when I realized it was two words. This wasn’t an isolated case either, but was rampant throughout the book. Needs some editing, with spaces and punctuation inserted.

This story stopped short of being amazing. Mostly because the HEA was too pat, given the real issues they were trying to surmount. One day they were avoiding each other because their lives wouldn't fit, the next they were professing love in a public arena.

The other drawback was the incredibly large cast of characters - I come from a large family and I still couldn't keep track of who was who.

And it really bugged me that the twins called the headmaster Nick. There was no explanation for that.

Who proofread this?

The storyline was ok,but having Jamie still being insecure 5 years after her husband's death was a bit to much...it was getting tiring to keep having her say basically the same thing over and over again, but yet she kissed Nick and eventually had sex with him. Also, there are a LOT of grammatical errors in each chapter. Who proofread this book?

Nice but PLEASE GET A PROPER COPY-EDITOR

Pleasant characters, well-developed family dynamics, but artificial deadline drives plot. Biggest complaint: there were countless run-on sentences because the formatting program ran them together. Possibly the publisher’s fault, but incredibly annoying.

Good story bad editing

This book has love but damaged players. Some tough times getting over old hurts and tough families. Its hard to read as the Kindle version has words smashed together, other sentences that don't make sense until you add your own words to them. Enjoyed the story but hard to read with all the mistakes.

Not easy

The path of true love never runs smooth, especially the second time around with each having baggage weighing them down. Two little boys are going to get such a special step-dad.

The story is really cute and I definitely didn't want to put it down. The issue I have is with the editing. There are grammar mistakes everywhere as well as missing spaces. It made it hard to stay focused on the story.

Charming clean romance.

Well I loved the front cover first up and this is a charming book! Full of warmth, kids, family and a couple you want to root for in Nick and Jamie. It’s predictable but not boring and reads naturally. The Kindle version has annoying print/ punctuation issues throughout where words run into one another and there’s a name error at the end, but I’d recommend this as a clean, romance read - it does what it says in the title.

Humor through silly circumstances highlights this sweet romance. This fairly straightforward story starts out with our heroine falling from a tree into the arms of a handsome Principle of the school she wants for her twins. Time and again the situations become a comedy of circumstances that get out of control.

On the more serious side, the young widow, Jamie struggles to do what is best for her kids and has a deep seated belief that she must avoid romantic relationships until the kids are grown. She must maintain a distance from any kind of dating and especially from the attractive Principle with strong biceps. But her pheromones and hormones pull her in a different direction.

Family and friends are important for both of these characters, but sometimes they contribute to the creation of ridiculous situations and make it difficult for them to keep a safe distance. The author helps us feel the conflict while also laughing at what goes on around it.

Self-employed artist and widow Jamie Sullivan returns to her hometown to raise her twin boys with the support of her family and literally drops into the arms of her kids sexy, principal! Neither of them have any intention of falling in love--they both have other plans, but the best laid plans...

One of my favorite things about this romance were that the obstacles to their happily ever after were not contrived. They were real, believable, concrete stumbling blocks.

Another favorite part of the book? The family and friends were terrific and real and supportive. I want to live in Autumn Falls! This is such a beautiful story of second chances and blended families and community. I cared about every person in this story (well, not so much her father-in-law, him I could do without!)

I highly recommend it

Jamie moves back to Autumn falls after her husband's death to raise her twin sons. She discovered on the day of her husband's funeral that he was cheating on her, which broke her and makes her doubt her heart and decided not to allow any other man into her life.
Nick is a gorgeous and attractive man who single handedly and successfully raised his daughter Emma , he's also the headmaster of the school Jamie's sons will attend.
When they met they were instantly attracted to each other but each of them has their personal demons they have to deal with first before they can have their happily ever after. I totally enjoyed and loved every bit of this book. "I received this book for free from eBook discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review ".

Ines Saint has done it again, made me fall in love with her book. She writes amazing stories with huge families as secondary characters that add to the conflict and the ultimate joy. Jamie is a heroine with a secret. One she's reminded of every time she and her twins visit her in laws. Nick is a single father who's ready to start living his own life, one he postponed due to responsibilities.

Both fight the attraction, especially since Nick is the sworn hockey enemy of Jamie's older brother. Can love overcome the animosity between team rivals?

This story … charmed me, from beginning to end. The hunky, somber, and very correct headmaster vs. the determined and protective single mom. Who will win? Love, of course, but not before Ms. Saint takes us on a well written and heart-warming ride over life’s hurdles and hurts. As with Strangers in the Night, this author is one we can depend upon to deliver a great story, and Charmed does not disappoint. I will happily reach for anything she writes. Well done.

This indeed was a charming story about second chances finding love. No matter how much “in control” the characters think they had, there was nothing they could do to stop the inevitable. The pieces of quirky dialogue and humorous situations made me smile. Top that off with the male posturing that occurs in sport and the story is complete. A quick fun read with many elements anyone can relate to. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.
