4.5-I have very little knowledge about programming but I actually found this book full of interesting information. I loved the glossary at the back of the book and the way that the words were defined made it easy to understand. I thought that the way the book started and built into more complex programs was fantastic. I am actually fascinated with learning new things and computers are an important part of our world so learning more about them was fun.

A good primer

I picked this up as a refresher course. It did the job. It was easy to read with a logical progression and had a really nice glossery at the end. I'd recommend this for a new student or a refresher

At times too basic And others too complex

I wanted to review some basics and the book does that, but it rarely explains why sufficiently to make a different decision.

There's something to finishing my reading challenge with a work of non-fiction after so much fiction. It made for a refreshing read.

It was a major help that the book was well written; clear and concise. As someone who doesn't know the first thing about C++, I found the guide to be easy to read and very informative.

On a more personal note, this book gave me enough non-fiction to support a leap into fiction... once I am done with my current series that is. Stay focused, G!

Very good work here!!!
