Riley boards the Starship Matchmaker, desperate to escape all the heartbreak she’s known on Earth, only to find her hopes for a better life soon shattered. The starship is attacked and she’s sold to a fearsome creature — who displays her as a curiosity in an alien marketplace. Just when she thinks her situation can’t get any worse… here comes a deadly flash flood. But to her utter surprise, she’s beamed onto a ship, where a huge green alien greets her and claims he’s her mate. Though she’s grateful for his help and can’t stop admiring his muscle-bound physique, she wonders if she’s truly safe with him.
Zurron is enraged by Riley’s treatment in the alien marketplace. He vows swift and brutal vengeance upon the creature who bought her, but first he must get her settled safely on his home planet. He’s entranced by her delicate beauty and light blue eyes, and his blood heats at the prospect of finally claiming her. He delights in exploring every part of her and making her blush hard, and he’s thankful to finally have a female to call his own. But when tragedy befalls Zurron’s family, honor and duty dictate that he must depart Norina and go to battle.
Riley finds it difficult to believe the very alien who kissed her senseless and made her body hum with pleasure possesses such a violent and vengeful side. Yet she longs for his homecoming and fears being given to another Norinan male if he perishes in battle. Will the hunky green alien who’s captured her heart return before it’s too late?
Sue Mercury writes sci-fi romance. She lives in Maryland with her husband and children, where she hopes one day she'll turn on the television to find a breaking news report about sentient alien beings contacting Earth. She also writes romance of the much kinkier variety under the name Sue Lyndon.

I didn't expect much from this short but wanted to squeeze in a mindless story before bedtime. The lure of mail order bride (a favourite) sparked my interest. I had hope that my dreams would be filled with me travelling to a far off galaxy to meet my alien groom. Alas, I had to use my own imagination. I like the Ms. Mercury writing flow and will try one more story before marking her a 'read more nae'
I normally borrow Sue Lyndon and Sue Mercury books through Kindle Unlimited at Amazon(I love that the author offers her books to the KU subscribers - it is how I first discovered her books) but in this case the author graciously offered me an advanced copy and I voluntarily reviewed it. The story is very short and has aliens, mail order brides, slavers, and a happy ever after. Roll all of those elements into one very short book and you will get an enjoyable read but it will lack details. The story is complete and includes a HEA but the story could have been much more with a little more meat to the story (just a little more fleshing of certain aspects like the capture by the slavers, her enslavement, her just-in-time rescue, his brother's brides, etc). Overall, I really liked the story but wanted a little more.
I have mixed feelings about this one. I liked it, great sweet short story. But the ending. They had one night together, ONE, then he leaves for 20 days with no contact. He then comes back and they declare their love for each other. Seriously? Even for a short $.99 novel, that was way too dumb for me.
This is much like Alien's Orphan Bride, not in story (other than the mail order bride part) but in the under developed MC's, insta love/lust, short pleasant read. I didn't dislike the book; however, I doubt if I will buy more by this author. She writes well but the stories are too shallow for my taste.
This is the 5th and final story in this series. They can each be freed as stand alones and in any order. They're pretty much the same story told over and over with the details changed, but for quick "human female meets alien male, they mate, the end", they're not bad.
Another Awesome job of storytelling with plenty of loving mates and protective alpha males. Don't miss out on any of this series, it's definitely worth the wait.
This one mainly focused on one of the women that was kidnapped off the Mail Order spaceship before reaching their mate. Zurron & Riley are a great pairing. HEA to make the heart swell.
The story was short and sweet but it holds your attention through out the book. It has enough action, passion, and steamy love scenes with awesome characters? This is a series worth reading and a must buy?
Seem to be lot of other planets have a crisis about female population and Earth is always overflow with females. So glad hero rescue heroine just in time. Such cute couple. Overall this is my favorite book in the series.
This is first time I've read Ms Mercury a found that it was an enjoyable read. I'm going to have to read her other books in this series. Would recommend this book & author for others to read.
Oh I love a good sci-fi romance love the both MC were cute together great chemistry between them I gotta go back to catch up on the other books this was a good read
Wow, this is a sweet, sweet story. Zurron and his family was so dedicated to finding their mates that they tracked down the slave ship that had stolen them. Poor Riley had such a hard time understanding that Zurron just wanted her happiness. This story is a lovely romance. I really enjoyed these characters and their interactions.
I enjoyed reading this short but entertaining story of human Riley and her mail order mate Zurron. Riley was on her way to the planet Norina to join her promised mate when her ship was attacked by slavers and she was sold to a 4 armed alien. Riley was kept naked in a cage, an exibit that her 4 armed owner charged money to other aliens to view his naked slave. As a massive flood arrives, Riley is abandoned by her captor and left to drown. Luckily, Zurron had been searching for his mail order bride and zoomed in on her lifeforce just as the flood hit. Riley is saved in time and transported to her mate's ship and she finds the enormous green alien, her mate, is green and ripped and so sweet to her. Zurron brings Riley to their home on Norina and they finally get to know each other and mate. Things go well for the new couple but another human, his brother's mate dies and the men leave to get their revenge on the aliens that abducted and sold the mail order brides to slavers. This was a short but great stand alone read with a HEA.
This story is about Riley she's signed up for Mail Order Human but unfortunately the ship was attacked and the women were kidnapped by unknown aliens. She's now being held hostage and used as a freakshow for aliens to stare at. When a deadly rainstorm hits the planet she's being held on she thinks it's the end. Zurron the alien Riley was intended to has been searching for her when he finds her an a dangerous planet he rescues her. They return to his planet and start a life together but other women were also taken and he sets out with his kinsmen to retrieve them. Will he return to Riley or will she belong to another?
This book was different than the other books in this series because Riley gets kidnapped by some unknown alien. When she thinks she's about to die Zurron sweeps in and saves her. Zurron is sweet and when he found out the ship she was on was attacked he searches everywhere for her and saves her from drowning right in the nick of time. The two of them are very cute together. Great story.
