Galaxy Zack Cosmic Blackout, and it's the 16th book in the series! This time, Zack and his friend Seth go on an amazing space adventure!

In this book, there's something called a cosmic blackout. That means all the cool space gadgets stop working! But guess what? That's not all bad. Seth, Zack's friend, keeps hearing a song sound. It's like a mystery! They decide to work together to solve it.

Zack and Seth are from the future, like super far away, 500 years in the future! They're used to amazing things like toothbrushes that turn on by themselves and cars that fly without touching the ground. But because of the blackout, they have to do things by themselves, like old-fashioned Earth games. Zack is great at them, but the others get really tired because they're not used to it.

You know what's super cool? They even make pizza from scratch, all by themselves! Usually, they have a helper called IRA, but not this time. So, they learn that trying new things and doing stuff on your own can be fun and exciting.

Oh, and guess what Zack finds during their adventure? A super cute little pet! It's like a space pet, and it's really adorable. I wish I could have a space pet too!

The best part of the book is when Zack, Seth, and their friends realize that you don't always need fancy gadgets to have a good time. Friends are what make things awesome, not just things!

So, the lesson I learned from this book is that doing things with your friends is the most important. You don't need all those super fancy things to have fun. Just being together and trying new things can make really great adventures.

I totally loved "Galaxy Zack Cosmic Blackout" because it's exciting, funny, and teaches you important stuff. If you like space, friends, and cool adventures, you should definitely read this book! It's out of this world!

This book is amazing, and I can't wait for you to see my full review on my YouTube channel.

A unique storm hits Nebulon that causes all the electronics to stop working. Some parts of the planet-wide blackout are a pain, like Ira being out of commission and having to make their own food, but other parts are kind of fun, like playing special sports with glowing equipment.

This capitalizes on the fact that sometimes something out of the ordinary can be fun when you know it is only temporary. I like how the family came together to get dinner on the table, and the non-electronic fun Zack and his friends discovered. This was an entertaining and imaginative adventure with Zack and gang.

Notes on content:
Language: None
Sexual content: None
Violence: None
Ethnic diversity: Zack's friends are all aliens with different color skin.
LGBTQ+ content: None
Other: Reliance on electronic things is revealed and may be a good talking point with readers.

*nods* For once, these kids weren't spoiled.
When a Cosmic Blackout basically shuts out all light from the nearest sun and renders all electricity unusable, we have an interesting story. As is typical, Zack, Drake, and Seth find amusement and enjoyment in the blackout. The only time a lack of electricity is not fun is if it's in the form of a disconnection. This gets three stars partly because the kids weren't spoiled for once. I'm honestly not sure what else to say.

Thankfully I got this one on sale...

The title and cover seem like its gonna be a cool kid-friendly sci-fi for a read-aloud, but this book really should've been titled "Making Pizzas...during a cosmic blackout" because that's what most of the book focused on instead of, you know, the cosmic blackout.

My kids and I wanted mystery and adventure in our sci-fi, not a culinary experience.

Such a let down.

Keeping up with some "first series" so kids can reconnect with favorite characters and remember the ease and draw of series' characters.
