Great!
This was an excellent story. It is about time that Commander Devlon fell in love! My only real complaint is that the story could have been longer. Heather is a tribe leader. There is an attraction that the Commander and Heather try to ignore while the rebels are causing trouble. Commander Devlon never believed her might find his soul mate like his children but Heather is a strong g tough and wise leader and he is crazy about her. Heather was married to her husband for 15 years while he was abusive And unfaithful and she was headed to court for her divorce when the nukes went off. I really enjoyed this book. It was well written. Yes there is a happy ending but the story isn't over yet. Can't wait for the next book!!

Awesome
I was wAiting for this one. I have liked Devlon from the first book. He is strong and generous and so loving. He accepts his family with open arms. He fought Heather for a while but in the end he gave in. Heather is amazing. He ex needs a kick in the pants. Great story

This is such a great series. I really love where this series is heading.
The story grabbed me from the start. Devlon and his people are continuously helping people on Earth to cope with everything after the disaster. All he wants is to get a solution and go back to Drasta. But then there is Heather. The leader of one of the tribes living underground. She got under his skin and after watching his sons to fall in love with Earth women and start family he evaluates his feelings and wants. But there also is trouble brewing and a tragedy happen.
I love the chemistry between Heather and Devlon, you can feel it from the start. They are so great together. Also Heather becoming the strong woman and leader is fascinating to watch. She had a hard life but now she has a strong man by her side supporting her. I cannot wait to see what's next.

Ummm
I love this series, I really do... But (yes there's the dreaded but), the editing and mistakes are becoming not only more noticeable but also more frequent. Words missing, sentences constructed incorrectly, spelling mistakes and I also found a section in which the same couple of sentences were repeated. A few errors I don't mind, but when there are multiple issues, it really detracts from the story. Making the read a much less enjoyable experience for the reader than it should be. I've been a long time fan of K D Jones but I have found that this is becoming a common problem with many of her newer releases. Regarding Defiance, I also found parts of the storyline seemed to be rushed and choppy while other sections were evenly paced, again, something that lessened my reading enjoyment.
