CREEP By Lorelie Brown Roni is spinning her wheels. Her job at a record store kills time and keeps a roof over her head—but she lives for the raves in Oakland’s warehouse district. Dancing till dawn in white gloves under black lights breathes life into her soul. Of course she has an expiration date, when she’ll burn out and be forced into an office cubicle. Might as well live while she can. Nothing will get her kicked out of her underground world faster than turning over Skittles, her dealer. She refuses to provide info about the underage runaway to his big brother Tom. But he is going to find Skittles with or without Roni’s cooperation. If she helps, she just might get an exotic taste of Tom’s kiss… Tom’s body… Tom is special. He’s rich, handsome and bold. Roni wishes she was special. And like the rave scene she loves, nothing lasts forever.
After a semi-nomadic childhood throughout California, Lorelie Brown spent high school in Orange County before joining the US Army. After traveling the world from South Korea to Italy, she’s settled north of Chicago. Because going from California warmth to northern snow seemed like the proper order of events...
Lorelie has three active sons and a tiny shih-tzu who thinks he’s son number three—not four, he’s too important to be the baby. Writing romance helps her escape a house full of testosterone.
In her immense free time (hah!) Lorelie co-writes contemporary erotic romance under the name Katie Porter. You can find out more about the “Vegas Top Guns” and “Club Devant” series at www.KatiePorterBooks.com or at @MsKatiePorter. You can also contact Lorelie on Twitter @LorelieBrown.
This is a short, cute romance about Roni, a girl from a troubled background who lives for partying and Tom, a rich, powerful and handsome guy on the search for his wayward brother - who just so happens to be Roni's dealer.
I found this short read to be quite a page turner. I liked Roni's carefree attitude to life and I found her to be a character we could all relate to in some way yet it was lovely to see her vulnerability shine through when she meets Tom - who is quite obviously every girls dream man! If only this book was full length, I think there is definitely potential for more from Roni and Tom. I really enjoyed Lorelie Brown's writing style and will look out for more of her work in the future.

This felt a bit all over the place. I'm not really sure why these characters are together and why their relationship is different from others they've had. An lot is thrown at you in a short period of time, but nothing that truly helps decipher the characters' motivations.
