Love the '80s? Miss big hair, rad music, and leg warmers? Take a step back in time with Melt with You (A Totally '80s Romance). It’s like totally awesome.
From the NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY bestselling author, Addison Moore:

September 1984 Junior year is really shaping up to be something. After three years of trying, I finally made the cheer squad. And on the last day of summer practice the demigod of Glen Heights High, Joel Effing Miller, finally notices me—right after he runs me over and lands my leg in a cast. Yeah, junior year is really shaping up to be something.

I swear I didn’t see her. But I’m making it up to her every way I can. I’m driving her to school, helping her to all of her classes. I’ve never met anyone so down to earth—a girl who actually likes the things I like.

Melissa Malinowski is a breath of fresh air. I can’t stop thinking about her. I swear I didn’t see her, but I should have. Melissa is too beautiful to miss. My name is Kelly Masterson, and nobody messes with me. I’m Joel Miller’s girlfriend. So Joel ran Mouse-akowski over with his truck. So what? He should’ve finished her off. And now he wants to break up? As if. Nobody breaks up with me. Joel is mine, and he’s going to stay that way. And after having a nice little chat with his mother, it’s become clear why he’s bending over backward to please that human speed bump. I’ll make sure Mouse-akowski understands this, too. That will be the end of Joel and his nerdy little plaything. My name is Kelly Masterson, and nobody messes with me. 1984 called and it wants to Melt With You.

Melt With You (A Totally '80s Romance 1) It’s like totally awesome.

TAINTED LOVE (A Totally '80s Romance 2)

September 1985...
Heather Knowles is the coolest chick I know. She’s a little wild but she’s genuine, honest, and drop dead gorgeous. The more I get to know her, the more I want to spend time with her. She’s finally opening up to me, and a part of me really wants to tell Heather all about my haunted past—that I’m not the person anyone thinks I am. If my mother had her way, I’d go to the grave with that info. But Heather is probably the only person who would understand. She’s so beautiful. I don’t know how I got all the way to senior year without getting to know her better. Now the only thing I want is to make up for lost time.

HOLD ME NOW (A Totally '80s Romance 3)

December 1985 - Senior year is really shaping up to be something. In an effort to turn my humdrum life around, I decide to take a walk on the wild side. By the time graduation hits, everyone will know who I am. Only, things don’t exactly go as planned. They go horribly, terribly wrong right out of the streaking gate. Not only have I embarrassed myself in front of Jessie Fox, the only boy I’ve ever had a crush on, but the entire basketball team now has an obscene nickname just for me. Sadly, I got my wish. Everybody knows who I am. Yeah, senior year is really shaping up to be something.

MELT WITH YOU:
I really liked Mel I thought she was adorable, “you clean up nice yourself.” She leans hard on her crutch and runs her finger down my chest. “I wouldn’t mind seeing what’s underneath there sometime.” The things this girl comes up with, “how could you kiss me like that , and then cut what we had down to a friendship? I’m friends with Larry the Janitor, but I’m not going to let him suck on my boobs!” I liked this book it was a cute read.

TAINTED LOVE:
Russell sure knows how to put up a front when he needs to, “no, I’m not just another guy looking to get into your pants.” I swallow hard, because for one, I think I just lied to the first girl I’ve fallen hard for." Russell knows when to admit he's been defeated, “someone who’s warming your seat for you.” I nod past him at the building line. “You’d better go. I’ve got customers to help.” Russell doesn’t break our gaze, just gives a slight nod and steps aside." I enjoyed this book, I loved Heather and not just because we share the same first name but because she got business taken care of. Russell could be a hit or miss but I'm glad he could get his things handled at the end.

HOLD ME NOW:
Jessie is a really lovable, funny guy, "Jessie holds up the unopened rubber a moment. “You ready to meet the Barbarian?” Out of this series this one is my favorite because of the code names they have for each other's goodies, “what? You’re not a freak.” He gives my shoulders a quick squeeze. I can feel his chest thumping with a rumble of a laugh. “No. I promise you the Barbarian is perfectly fine. In fact, he’s missing Genie already. He’s greedy that way.” I really liked this book.

Love all these storie

These three stories are about 3 girls and 3 guys who to to school together but the girls are from the poorer area of this school boundary and the guys are all well to do. The fit so well together.
Melissa and Joel's story start this set. They have a funny get together story but rough time staying together due to a girl who wanted him. Their friends help the through the ups and downs of their relationship.

Russell and Heather's story comes next. They have a different crazy girl that tries to not let them be together. The struggles they have with this girl is another rollercoaster ride that the six friends end up going through. Good again prevails over evil.

Jessie is a player with a young sister he takes care of. He hires Jennifer to help out with her because he is involved in sports and their dad isn't around much. Jilly is his sister and she ends up loving Jennifer. She can't stand his girls Tess and Rachael. The end up causing grief to this couple and the friends all help out to get these r issues resolved.

Love the combined wrap up at the end to let the readers know their future. Love the songs and all the references from the 80's. This was also my time. Love this set.

I thought this was a really cute series. Even though I was a teenager in the 90’s, not the 80’s, this still made me nostalgic for those high schools days of friends and boys.

The only issue I found was that by then end of the third book, everything was starting to feel a little boring and beginning to drag. I felt like I could skip a few chapters and it wouldn’t matter. I forced myself to read through to the end, though.

All in all, cute stories with characters that most could relate to as teenagers.

Love the romance

Even though I didn't grow up in the 80's I was still a huge fan of this book. I didn't get a lot of the references to the time period. Love how all three of these books meshed together nicely. Love all the slap your forehead with embarrassment moment as well as all the sexy times that happened during those romantic moments. I would definitely read this again, perfect for a Young adult and beyond.

Made me cry.

As a graduate of the Class of 1984, I remember the clothes and the music, the cliches and the way it was to be outside looking in. Being more than a full year younger than my classmates, I was not a part of the dating scene. But I heard stories. These books brought it all back. Well done and well written.

Such a great series!

Wow! I was intending to relive my glory days when I found this series! #80sGirl! And boy did this cute series do that for me! It was everything you'd expect it to be in the best way possible. The lingo and the playlists lit this story up for me. I love music and hearing the 80s jams just made my heart happy. I loved everything about this series!

Shockingly good

I really enjoyed this series, however, I did not like every single story. It was overall interesting, fun, and an enjoyable read. There were a few cliché moments, and it was a little dramatic appoints. But that made it so much more enjoyable and the end.

There are 3 books in this collection. They are based from the 80s. If you grew up in the 80s will chuckle at some of the references. If you didn't grow up in the 80s but just love them then you will enjoy these books. I found them not as interesting as I had expected but not terrible.

80s to the max

This is a LONG book. I had to put it down many times and come back to it. I love the 80s but it was hard to read this with all of the details and events that were written. It was written well but there was just too much written of the small details.

Omg the 80s strikes again

Great book series. I totally laughed because I grew up in the 80s and it was crazy reliving everything again through this series. Most of the books were "awww that's sweet", and you really got a feel for the characters.

Melt With You

Kelly Masterson, Joel Miller and Melissa Malinowski are the three main characters in this young adult ode to the 80's. The clothing, the language used and the music choices take me back to my middle 20's when this particular books timeline was set for me. This brings back some pretty fond memories of those years and in doing so made it easy to relate to the main characters, not to mention their friends who share the spotlight in this first book in the series.

This was as expected a mix of the serious with the silly and my only real complaint would be why Melissa waited so long to call Kelly and her group out for their bullying.

Tainted Love

As with book 1 we have basically 3 teens caught up in romantic conflict and even more angst this time for main characters Heather and Russell.

Caught up in nostalgia for my own teen years this story still resonated as honest look at what really goes on in high school for the unlucky few who never seem to fit in with the rest of the herd.

Hold Me Now is the third book and think it may have the most poignant tale of the three yet.

Hold Me Now

It took a long time for Jessie Fox to fall but when he found himself under Jennifer Barkly's spell his love-em and leave-em days were over.

Of the three this is my favorite. Regardless of the over abundance of cliches throughout this story was the most enjoyable.

This collection of three full length romance stories about life and love in high school in the 80's made me miss the 80's... for about a minute. Filled with big hair, crazy clothes and makeup, like, bad valley girl speak, and an awesome soundtrack this collection had new love, young love, teen angst, heartbreak and the perils of high school.
Melt with You was the first story, about Melissa and Joel.
Tainted Love was the second story and it was Punk Heather and rich Russell overcoming obstacles to true love.
Hold Me Now was the third and final story and that dealt with Jennifer and Jessie.
All three stories had their high and low points, but overall, I enjoyed this series!

Young adult romance set in the 80s. Sounded cute but unfortunately this isn't for me. I didn't even make it through the first chapter.

Content: Explicit language, innuendo, crude comments, teen sex
