Life in the fast lane is definitely not for the timid. For the teenagers who drag race on Highway C-5, that’s the place where they get to prove who’s king of the lane. Unfortunately, one racer’s winning streak has resulted to the death of several racers. When strange hoof prints are found at each car wreck, Alexandra Trese has no choice but to travel down that road and seek answers at the finish line.

Nakakabitin talaga. 🖤
Once again Trese finds another interesting case involving races. Once again, we learn new things about the Philippine Underworld.
This time the story mentions more details about Trese and her family. Adding more mystique to her awesome character. Another quick read, but entertaining story. And at the end, it leaves me to wonder, what was the third wish? Time to read Case 3.
So nagshift ako sa Trese Kanto ng Balete Drive at Tuntunin ng karera paras a prompt na Malakas at Maganda to get my Apolaki badge.
Mini review only (I plan to read the black edition para sa mahaba habang review)
I'm probably biased because Tikbalangs are one of my favorites but I really enjoyed reading this. I love the concept and daaaaamn the art is so gooooood. I also really like the concept of tribong habagat and amihan. I wish there would be more about the Tikbalangs in the next issues.
Another case by Trese, the twins and the network of humans interacting with supernatural cases and characters treads on the "Rules of the Race" where by night time, the usually busy avenues and city roads turn into a race track for humans and the mighty racers of the Filipino supernatural world. This one is one of my favorites since it reminded me of the stories in the late 1990s until the mid-2000s, where one stretch of Regalado Avenue, in Fairview, Quezon City turns into a drag race track for muscle and super car owners. But in this story for the Tagalized version of Trese, the racer in focus does not lose (usually) and the possibility of doing so can incite a few unfortunate events.
I wasn't up-to-date with the world of Trese until I found this cover in a bookstore and bought it on a whim. Apparently I wasn't missing out on much because this was only the Filipino version.
I might be biased, but I like the original publication of Trese. I appreciate both worlds in Tagalog and English but perhaps I also like the simplicity of black and white in its pages.

omg I really don't know what's entertaining here :(( I want to support the illustrator/creator so I want to look for the rest case/chapters every volume.
