Lazzaro
My sister is missing and my only chance to find her is to work in a strip club that belongs to the mafia.

I was asked if I wanted a review copy of this book and since I've previously liked several books by this author I said yes.
From the blurb it sounded a bit like 'Crow' but it's not.
Lazzaro is a good looking guy working for the Famiglia, he works at a struggling strip club and the sole reason it appears to be struggling is Cris, the manager. Cristiano is a horrible slimy excuse for a man one who has (as far as I could see) absolutely no redeeming features.
Lazzaro is holding onto the past, it appears the best part of his life was his brother Fabio who's dead and so he clings onto his memories, his watch and car.
Sienna is looking for her sister Becca who was last seen working as a stripper and so she's now the new bartender.
At times I enjoyed this book but it brought with it a feeling of hopelessness and despondency which spoilt the book for me.
While I appreciate real life can often be hard and cruel here it seemed like a heavy cloud hanging over everything and I know it was obviously intentional but even with darker reads I don't like the characters to feel resigned and hopeless, the Famiglia seems pretty useless as well it's obvious the club's not doing well and it doesn't take a genius to work out why but nothing seems to get done.
This book had a couple of surprises which honestly just didn't work for me. At the end I was left with unanswered questions and a feeling that it could have been better.
It didn't help that I never really connected to either of the main characters, while Lazzaro was obviously attractive and hot I found I just felt sorry for him.
#### VERY SLIGHT SPOILERS ####
I had several issues
Lazzaro is basically a good guy, he works in a strip Club and has easy access to the women and the women love him. He's a manwhore and I didn't have a problem with that, the girls have sex with clients, again not a problem.
Lazzaro has regular sex with several of the strippers one of which is Ruby and apparently they've had unprotected sex in the past and she wants to do it again but he won't because he knows she'd stopped taking her pill.
I can understand her wanting it all things considered he's a good catch for her and a way out of the life she's in but what possessed him to risk it?
Sienna has sex with him the same night she's seen him in his office with another girl and a dildo, plus she knows the previous night he was with Ruby. I know there's more going on here, she's attracted to him and for the first time wants to have sex and again she had a reason but then she's upset and surprised when he gets up and leaves afterwards, what did she expect?
Also pet hate of mine is the use of the word meaty when describing a woman's pussy:
'The sight of her shaved pussy caught me by surprise, but I wasn’t disappointed. Without her pubic hair, her pussy lips were on full display—pink, thick and meaty.'
I'm sure it's not a problem for most people but it just doesn't work for me.

This isn't a bad book, there's a lot here to like and don't let my 3* deter I tend to rate on the low side saving 4 and 5* for books with something special.

Lazzaro thinks he has everything in his life figured out. He knows who to hate and who to have sex with, so he thinks he is set. That is until Sienna makes him realize he's been missing something all along.
Sienna just wants to find her sister, Becca, but she walks into a world that she was not prepared to handle. Laz comes to her rescue, but then she can't stop thinking about him. The two of them have an irresistible connection from the minute they meet, even though the situation is anything but normal.
This story has it all. Twists, turns, ups, and downs. You think you have things figured, but you you will be shocked. You will absolutely love Laz and Sienna's love story. I really loved my ARC copy and I know you'll love reading the story

I won't even waste time detailing all that was just so wrong and utterly dumb about this book. The overall plot had potential but everything else, the main characters, everything was just awful.
I'm clearly a glutton for punishment because I read it all the way through. Any good recommendations on a brain bleach? Yeck!!

I started reading S.K. Lee books a few months ago and have become a new fan. I had a chance to be a part of the book review team. ABBM is an awesome read. It is packed with action, a little mystery and lots of steamy sex! The story is centered around Sienna, as she searches for her sister, who went missing, while working in a strip club to pay off their late father's debt. Sienna goes undercover in that same club. That's where she meets Lazzaro, who's co-manager of the club and is also, part of the local cartel. As Sienna struggles to not blow her cover, she learns that Lazzaro has his own nightmares to deal with. Though they seem world's apart, their lives are more intertwined than they could ever imagine. This book is packed with twists, turns and unexpected reveals you don't want to miss.

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review. Absolutely loved this book definitely not a disappointment from the blurb. The story of Lazzaro and Sienna will keep your attention until the final page and leave you wanting more bad boys. Sienna goes to work behind the bar in a strip club run by the mafia under the guise of looking for her sister who has disappeared. Lazzaro is part of the management of the strip club and their paths cross. The book Does delve into the dark side of life but with a humane twist. Bravo S K Lee does it again with a riveting five star read.

What she didn’t expect to find was a hot and sexy man who will do anything to have her. Will he leave behind the only way he knows how to live? Let’s be honest here, he is a man whore but with morals. He doesn’t lead anyone on and he truly is a caring person. It’s the life he is in that is worrisome but like I said he will do anything for her. This is a wonderfully written story with some strong main characters. I have read many of S.K.’s previous books and she hasn’t disappointed me at all. Some of previous characters from In Bed with the Mafia make an appearance in this story. I would definitely recommend any and all of her books. I received this book as a gift from the author for an honest review.

Hot and Dapngerous
Loved the story. S K Lee has a wonderful way with words, and her story telling is amazing. Have read all of her books, and look forward to many more. Highly recommend to all.
