Maxi is a small shifter who has come to Sanctuary in hopes of starting a new life--and to find his mates. He is happily surprised when he meets both of his mates on the same Valor, a very large, sexy, fae warrior, and Travis, a gorgeous wolf shifter who is in Sanctuary as a trainee at the facility. After one passionate night together, it turns out to be a moment of pain for Maxi. Once his mates are done having their fun with him, they immediately take off without giving Maxi a second thought. After a week away, Valor and Travis return from a mission to try to talk to Maxi and apologize for leaving him, but they find that Maxi is not receptive to what they have to say. Maxi takes off, and Valor and Travis follow him. When they find him a few minutes later, they are both confused when they realize Maxi has no memory of them. This book contains double penetration.
[Siren Menage Amour Erotic Alternative Fantasy Paranormal Menage a Trois Romantic Suspense, M/M/M, angels, demons, gods, shape-shifter, vampires/werewolves, HEA] ** A Siren Erotic Romance
Oh, how I do love me some paranormal MM, alpha men, and a good menage now and then, but for some reason this one fell a little flat for me. I will explain why, but wanted to make sure you don’t take my review as a ding against this author, or the existing side series (Angel Pack), because the reasoning is solely a personal dislike of my own. Sanctuary is a side series based off the Angel Pack series and so we get our fill of the men we all loved and adored from the previous books, which I totally liked. And we get the twists and turns that are so prevalent in this author’s books and keeps me coming back for more. This book was no different, fortunately.
My complaint, and as I said it’s all on me, is that I prefer my menages to be on equal footing for the three involved and sadly, I didn’t feel that here with Maxi, Valor, and Travis. What I felt was that big badass Travis and bigger, badass Valor, bent over backwards to swear their love and devotion to Maxi, but not so much to each other. Oh, they did love each other and it was reiterated a couple times, but I didn’t feel it between them. Maybe it was because Maxi was such a drama queen and needed constant reassurance? I don’t know. I sometimes like a small twink between big badasses, but I would have loved, loved, loved, to see the same devotion between Valor and Travis. Maybe I missed it.
Besides that, I was highly entertained with the story line and will just chalk this up to “you can’t love ’em all” and move on to the next book in the series. I have read everything this author has written so I have no doubts that I will be all over the next book…and I can’t wait.
Take a chance on this new side series, but I highly suggest you make sure to read the Angel Pack books first.
This is an enjoyable book, and I love the concept of paranormals finding their true mates. In this case Maxi (ring tailed cat. Very unique) has two mates. Valor (fae), and Tristan (wolf). Maxi annoyed me sometimes because he always seemed to run instead of communicating the way he should have. It takes the whole book to straighten things out with his mates. I was happy about his brother Parker, and how things turned out for him. I was enthralled with this book and I wish there was much more involving Sanctuary. I loved how the town was filled with paranormals, and was a safe haven for those who needed help. This was a great story and very imaginative. :)
Rating: 3 stars This book was just okay. I almost didn’t finish it on the re-read and really, I probably could have skipped it since it didn’t relate to the main plot of the Angel pack series. I just didn’t connect with any of the MCs. All three of them were clueless how to communicate with each other and the whole story was one big misunderstanding. Overall, it was okay and not really worth the re-read.
