Cassie Harrington may be a chronic overachiever, but leaving her comfort zone doesn't come easy.

So when her best friend invites her to a sexy masquerade party because she wants to check some kinky stuff off her Bucket List, she agrees to go- but Only as Ruby's chaperone.

Under No circumstance is Cassie hooking up with a masked stranger.

Especially not that guy at the top of the stairs whose broad shoulders and deep voice alone are enough to make her knees buckle.

Yeah, definitely not that guy.

This is such a wonderful book, it's funny, romantic, seriously sexy and so hot.  Owen and Cassie meet at a masquerade sex party where they have an incredible time with each other, however when they meet in the real world that's when things get tricky. I love the uniqueness of the story line, and the flow this writing duo achieve together is flawless, making this novel a joy to read. I highly recommend it you won't be disappointed. I received this copy free for a voluntary review.

The last book that I had read by both Hazel Kelly and Chloe Clark was their Christmas special book A Naughty List: A Christmas Romance and just by reading that book I fell in love with Chloe Clarks work. It’s always thrilling when you get to read a book by these two authors as they complement each other well with their writing styles. Each story has such a different dynamic to it and no matter what you always get swept in. This book is a lot quicker than any of the other books I’ve read of Hazel’s, but honestly, I still think it works really well.
Every character has a different personality and when these two amazing authors co-write together you can see that the characters, the plot and the story is even bolder and brighter.

Cassie is the type of girl that would just rather spend her week nights and weekends coped up at home and getting all her work done. As she’s a lawyer it’s understandable how much work that she has on her plate at once, yet her best friend Ruby is the outgoing one and is always trying to convince Cassie to go out with her. This one particular time that Cassie agrees, she’s in for a shock… She’s never been the type of girl to go about and have a one night stand but when she goes to this Masquerade party with Ruby, her life changes forever when she meets the mysterious Mr O….. She becomes such a completely different person when she is in his presence but it’s such a shame that this bolder self of her only comes out to play when being in his company….. Or Is it?

The shortest book of the first series of the chance encounter I read is called “Masquerade” by Hazel Kelly and Chloe Clark. This book is very funny sexy and cute. Their chemistry was very steamiest, thriller, involves a lot of sexy banter that keep the characters flowing from the beginning to the end. I look forward to read the second book. Cassie Harrington is a lawyer and works long hours and don’t have time for socialising. Her best friend is very outgoing and Ruby invites her to a masquerade party if she agrees to go as ruby’s chaperone. Cassie hooking up with a masked stranger. As a result, did she faces her hook up across a court case where he is on the opposite side? What happened with them two? You can decide.

3.5 stars

I picked this up because my brain hurt from IRL work and I was hoping this would distract. For a a random KU book that I picked up on the whim - this was quite a lot of fun.

We follow our heroine who meets a sexy stranger at a masquerade sex-party and literally finds the hero, says two words to him and then sleeps with him. It is all a bit OTT and nuts but it worked for here. There are no real surprises in the story beats here but I found the writing clear and not overblown as sometimes these KU stories can be.

Worth checking out - 3.5 stars which I am rounding up on GR because frankly this was what I needed so I am feeling generous.

Cassie never one to let loose, more of a all work and no play kinda girl, is guilted into joining her best friend Ruby to a Masquerade party, but not it's not just any kind of party its one where you leave your inhibitions at the door, and surrender to your inner desires...No names, no full faces, just the here and now.

(Sorry no more from me it will give away the book, which is too good, so read it yourself)

I am a huge fan of Hazel Kelly's books and Masquerade doesn't disappoint as always...

I absolutely Loved this book.... Cassie agrees to go to a 'party' with her friend and ends up with a stranger she only knows as Mr O.
Cassie is a sassy lawyer and has been given a big case at work..... will she be able to get what she wants from the opposition.... especially when she finds out who the defence lawyer is!! Really great book, I loved both Cassie and Owen and the banter between them is fab. Another smashed book by Hazel. Highly recommended.

Pleasantly surprised

I wasn't sure what to expect, but this story blew me away. Two people changing each other for the better and falling in love. I'm a believer in soulmates and Masquerade delivered on that for me. It's got a little bit of thrill, mystery, and a lot of romance that I look for when I pickup a book these days. Anyway, I look forward to reading the next chance encounter title now.

A masked sex party. What could go wrong?
As she’s being dragged to one by a bold friend, one woman couldn’t be more nervous.

This was slow at first as she mostly talks about how awed she was about the mansion. There were some “chance encounters,” but, for the most part, the whole thing was very slow and unamusing.

Masquerade

Great little romance with a twist.
Cassie and Ruby go to a Masquerade party where no names are given or faces shown.
Then Cassie faces her hook up across a court case where he is on the opposite side.

Love it!

I love how little drama there is, enough that it is something anyone would go through, but not too much that it’s an unreasonable amou t of bad luck or drama!

This is the first book I have read by these authors and I can honestly say I was not disappointed. The story of Owen and Cassie who meet at a masquerade sex party, but end up on opposite sides in representing their own clients as lawyers. The sexual attraction is off the charts in this five star read.

Another amazing read from Hazel Kelly! (Plus Chloe Clark!)

As you probably know, Hazel Kelly has become on of my top ten favorite authors. I always enjoy her stories and knew this would be no different. But this book was a surprise, even for me.

Cassie agrees to attend a sex party but has no plans to actually participate in the activities. Or even watch them. She will just keep her distance until her friend finishes with whatever naughty situation she gets into and then Cassie can forget this ever happened.

That is, until she meets a tall stranger with broad shoulders and a dark mask. Her world turns upside down because she suddenly wants more of what he had to offer, despite the fact that she has no real idea who he is and the only way to contact him is by attending another of the scandalous parties.

But as fate would have it, the truth always comes to light in the end. A chance encounter reveals the identities of our couple and both of them find that they can't simply move on to another. They want each other even though being together, even casually, can cause serious problems in their normal lives.

This was one steamy story. It starts out with a bang and left me itching to find out who the masked man was. And even though the sex is spectacular, I actually found the romance to be the best element of this book. I was surprised by our mystery man's affectionate side. It was great to see a man who knows what he wants and doesn't want to play games to get it.

In closing...
Hot love making that leads to real love. Four steamy suns!

Just really steamy sexy.

Loved the beginning, to best friends going to a masquerade sex party. Cassie a workaholic lawyer who thinks she's conservative in her one sexuality, and she only supportive with her best friend Ruby cause she wound let her attend one her own.

But Mr. Tall, Broad shoulders, dark hair and smoldering dark eye behind the mask, has Cassie do a 180. A who wouldn't, the authors knows its every woman's fantasy.

Cassie hates she didn't got to kiss Mr. Tall Broad Shoulders. But he didn't want to mix business with pleasure. She just can't forget him, but she don't know his identity. But she has steamy hot sex with herself every night afterwards. She needs to see him again, so she follows Ruby one last time.

Afterward we know him as Mr. O, but nothing else, only that he also had trouble with forgetting her. After the second masquerade party, Cassie has a difficult time with moving forward, and the only way she knows is work, and work all hours.

She receive a case from one of her colleagues, it a high profile case, and it fits nicely to her work to forget. But when she enters the room, where shes meeting the opponents and his lawyer she knows that something is wrong. Because the atmosphere in the room changes when she enters.

And this book is just perfect and I just love Mr. O.

I really love HK stories, they are sexy good. Just read it!

Masquerade is a great sexy read. You will have trouble putting this book down until you are done.

Cassie works to hard and plays to little. Her friend Ruby talks her into going to a masquerade sex party. Cassie is not happy about this, but as Ruby's friend, how can she let her go by herself.

As soon as they get to the party Ruby takes off looking for the hosts. Cassie is left to fend for herself. She roams around until she decides to check out the upstairs. On the landing is a very handsome man in a mask. They find a room. Leaving the masks on and no names exchanged they part ways.

Cassie can't get this mysterious man out of her mind. She finds herself asking Ruby if there is a party soon. Of course there is and Ruby and Cassie go to the next party. Cassie insists to herself that she is not looking for "him". She finds him and they have another explosive time together. She wants his name and he won't tell her. He tells her to call him Mr. O.

Cassie is a lawyer and has been handed a very high profile case. She is going to meet the opposing team and imagine her surprise when sitting across the table from her is Mr. O.

I am going to stop here. Trust me. You will want to find out what happens next. A great hot sexy read!!

When your identity is hidden who do you become? Cassie finds out who she truly is when her best friend drags her to a masquerade sex party thinking that it's definately not something that's up her ally but deciding to not hang around the finger foods she decides to admire the eligant home. What she finds changes everything she thought she knew about herself and sex.

I received this ARC for an honest review. As a big fan of Ms. Kelly I am always eager to read one of her newest creations. A very different take on the boy meets girl senario I definitely wasn't disappointed but delighted. If you are looking for a sexy, mysterious encounter (and more) you've found your book. I loved the development of the characters and how quickly you get to know them. I cannot wait to see how this story progresses and eagerly await her next creation.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

Classier is a lawyer and works way to hard. Her best friend persuades her to go to a 'party' to let her hair down for once..... she ends up doing more than that.
The stranger in the mask can't get enough of Cassie but knows he has to stick to his rules and leave afterwards.
Will they see death other again?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and didn't want to put it down...... so I didn't.

Hazel always blows my mind with her writing style. She and Chloe make a great team. Masquerade is a very heart melting, and heart warming story about Cassandra and Owen Morgan. I am not going to give any spoilers; but i can tell you this. It is worth your time and money. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Its romantic, sweet, heartwarming, suspenseful and a great ending. The plot is unique and so beautifully written. You will get hooked from page 1. It is definitely a page turner. Hard to put down. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I loved this book!!

Hot, sexy, and steamy in all the right places.

Cassie is a workaholic lawyer who accompanies her best friend ruby to a masquerade party. There she meets a gorgeous man and the playing ensues. She has the best of her life. But she still doesn't know his name or what he looks like.

After her mysterious encounter she feels lighter and more powerful. Her friend ruby invites her to another masked party and there she has a second encounter with her mysterious stranger and the sex is even hotter than the first.

She still doesn't know what he looks like but he says to call him Mr. O.

At work she's has a big case and when she meets the other lawyer.........

I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. I absolutely adored this story! I have read almost all of Hazel Kelly's books and each one I have enjoyed. It was a quick read that could not be put down until it was finished. I loved Owen & Cassie's dynamic and seeing the two of them come together and realize they were meant for each other. You will enjoy if you are a fan of Hazel's!

Disappointed in this book. I know it's a shorter, standalone than Hazel Kelly's other books but it's basic, predictable and frankly just a bit dull.
