Tainted by scandal, Raven Eyez leaves New York to return to her mother’s hometown of Heartsbridge, Texas, penniless with her reputation and career in tatters. If that wasn’t bad enough, she reads in a celebrity magazine her childhood sweetheart, who broke her heart five years ago, is getting married.

The stress is unbearable, and when she starts hearing voices whispering for her to right a wrong she has no recollection of making, she’s sure she is going mad. Things go from weird to completely unbelievable when an innocent trip to a diner leaves her stranded in Heartsbridge in the year 1880.

Lance Thornton suspects his neighbors helped his fiancee leave him at the altar, so he’s determined to ruin them. On his way to the bank to insist they foreclose on them for a loan he made, he bumps into Raven, mistaking her for his runaway bride, Charlotte. He decides he’s not letting her get away this time, and refuses to listen to any of her claims that she isn’t who he thinks she is, and that she is from the future.

He’s going to make this woman pay for embarrassing him in front of the entire town. Can Raven convince Lance he's seeking revenge on the wrong woman?

I’m always on board for a good time travel romance. Timeless Whisper doesn’t fall into that category. I found the hero Lance Thornton unappealing and a narcissist. The heroine Raven was more appealing and I laughed out loud at some of her dialogue. Still, it wasn’t enough for me to recommend this story.

This audiobook is just over 3 hours in length and is narrated by Meghan Kelly and she did a great job voicing the characters and her reading elevates this story to a three-star rating in my opinion. The sound quality wasn’t the best. I noted there was a persistent white noise in the background.

This audiobook was gifted to me in exchange for an unbiased review!

It's fun, romantic, yet full of excitement and adventure. It beautiful yet so real you feel like you're back in time -Nook Books and More Blog.

Time travel with a twist of romance gives you a wonderful enduring story. It gives you that rustic feel yet a taste of yesterday and freshness that you crave. You are automatically drawn into the story as you get familiar with the characters. The authors pulses in a twist of each characters into a unique romance you'll be sure to dream about. You get to know each character and understand there passion as it unfolds.

The plot is full of mystery and suspense, as the story unfolds as it's thrown in a desire and determination. This storyline is full of intrigue and details that bring you back in time.

What a charming story of going back in time.
Mistaken identity of two people that meet in another time and another century.

Could this possibly lead to true love? Raven is suddenly transported 200 yrs in the past. Lance thinks she is his runaway bride. She thinks he's the man she's been pining for for 5 years. He's determined to make her pay for breaking his heart, she's determined to help him heal.

The drama pulls you in and the laughs keep you glued. It's an enduring love story that sings to your heart.

The words flowed nicely and kept you intrigued throughout the story. This enchantment of a story make you crave to go back an enjoy a love the "old school" way. I'd read anything Ms. Sinclair writes as the story is romantic and full of intrigue. Definitely a read you'll want to check out!

This is the first book in this series giving us a taste of what is yet to come. I totally love this it and how in depth the author takes it. Time travel has always been one of my favorite things to think about whether it is going forward or backward there is so much to think about from how they deal with the change to how they feel about it. The author really put a lot of thought into the story line from the clothes to the technical and how it would impact the characters. At time I found myself laughing when Lance mistakes her for his ex and how he dealt with her. But things are not always as they seem.

Meghan Kelly is a very talented narrator that brings so much to the story. I really enjoy her many different voices that she delivers with such emotion. There is no repeat of words or any changes in volume, no background noises. You have no trouble knowing what each character feeling or who is taking. Her tones are right on the money giving a very in depth feeling of emotion which include anger, confusion, feeling of lost, lonely, pain, happiness and lots of smiles and a few laughs. I enjoyed how she really shows the sparks flying between these two as well as how bullheaded they both were. Her female voices are just as great as her males, giving an in-depth deep voice or a smooth as sweet sexy one. Each are wonderful as she pulls you in giving a very highly entertaining listen. This is a very clean, crisp audio that is very realistic that you almost feel like you are watching a movie. If any breaks were taken I could not tell. It has been a pleasure watching this narrator grow and learn how to really grab the true characters giving you a delightful wonderful listen you get lost in.

Raven’s life is all mixed up from her money to her feeling for her ex. She can’t believe when she wakes up and finds things have changed so much and her ex is there in clothes from the past. Is this a joke? She soon finds out it isn’t and he isn’t joking when he said ride or be pulled behind. Lord what has she gotten herself into?

Lance is shock when he sees the women before him that left him for another man. She will pay and he will see that she does. Something is off she just isn’t the same and what is that she is wearing. This women needs to learn to cover herself she looks like a saloon women. After a trip to the judge he knows just how he will make her wish she never crossed him.

When the future meets the past or is it the other way around…..there are some hearts stopping moments with such pain. The future has Lance as being one mean SOB that cares very little for anyone in his path. Raven has her job cut out for her but first she most not confuses the Lance from the future with the Lance from the past. The story is well blends from confusing, feeling of lose, hopes and finally anger, pain and sorrow. It is a story of going to another time to find your true love, changing lives and the future as they see it into day’s world. Everything that changes in the past has an effect on the future. The author really shows how these effects really work out. It is highly entertaining, keeping your attention, making you feel the emotions the characters feel. I had to laugh and at times was shocked at how far Lance was willing to go to make her pay for something she didn’t do.

Timeless Whisper is a time travel romance with an interesting premise. Raven Eyez left her small town of Heartsbridge, Texas, on the day her mother died five years ago. That was also the day her childhood sweetheart Lance ended their relationship and broke her heart. She hasn't been back home since. Now the rest of her life has fallen to pieces after the loss of her father and her business. Day after day, a voice in her head urges her to go home to Heartsbridge, to make things right.

Right before she leaves for Texas, Raven discovers that Lance is going to be married in the small town on the day she arrives. The news devastates her further. Once she arrives in Heartsbridge, she feels herself drawn to the local diner filled with so many memories of Lance. She meets a strange woman in the diner who leads her to a back room. Raven loses consciousness and wakes up in the year 1880. One of the first people she meets is Lance, but he isn't the Lance she knew in the 2000's. This Lance is a very different sort of man who mistakes her for his runaway bride, and wants her to pay for his pain.

Raven was a strong heroine, even though she's shaken by events in the beginning of the book, she rallies quickly and is never weak. I really liked her spirit. Lance of the past was violent when they met, and while his motivations are explained later in the story, there isn't an excuse for his actions. Hopefully he can spend the rest of his life trying to be a better person. Ryder was a steady presence and I hope he shows up in the sequels.

This was a clean romance with no cliffhanger. I enjoyed the time travel aspect, and the idea of certain people as fixed points sending people back in time to repair the past. It was an intriguing premise, and I'd like to read more about it. The ending was also very different than I expected, it was a good twist. This book had plenty of humorous parts, as can happen when your heroine arrives in 1880 in Lycra running pants and a sports bra!

The narrator did a good job, it was a solid performance. Some characters have a southern drawl while others don't, and she did a good job switching between the character's voices. The narration immersed me in the story with no jarring notes. I received a copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Words cannot adequately express how much I truly enjoyed this audiobook. I listened to it in one sitting and immediately went searching to see if there were other books in the series. It has everything that I look for in a story -- part historical romance and part mystical fantasy. I am already anticipating the next book!

The story starts in present day New York, and ends in 1880 Texas and centers around Raven, who is still pining away for her “lost love” – from five years ago. After being forced to close her bakery after her father’s suicide, she returns to her childhood home in Heartsbridge, Texas. It is there where Raven is transported back in time. When Raven emerges in 1880, she mistakenly runs into Lance, who mistakes Raven for a girl who jilted him on his wedding day. Although at first I despised Lance, his story is so heartbreaking that you can’t help but fall in love with him when he starts to show some compassion and regret for the way treated Raven. Lance also just happens to look a lot like her ex-fiancé.

I listened to the Audible version of the story narrated by Meghan Kelly and enjoyed it tremendously. In fact, I felt like I was watching a movie and couldn't help but remember how I felt the first time I watched a historical western on the Hallmark Channel. Thankfully Timeless Whisper is the first book in a new historical fantasy series, Timeless Hearts, so I can look forward to listening to other great adventures in this compelling new series!

A different take on time travel with a bit of romance and then, just when it looked as if the romance part would start to take off and get interesting, it ended. This abruptness made me wonder if the required amount of words written had been achieved, but these are just my honest thoughts on the matter.
Besides that, I did enjoy this story.
The Lance of old reminded me of a spoilt child who threw tantrums when he couldn't get his own way with what was going on in his life.
Raven, at first confused with being thrown back in time without any warning, became the level headed young lady who had to decide whether she wanted to return to 2017 and no relationship or remain with Lance in the earlier era with the possibility of a real romance.
Meghan Kelly was our narrator for this story and I enjoyed her rendition of it.

This series is written by a couple different authors, and each book is really a standalone from what I understand, they all just take place in this same "universe". Well, yesterday I got the 3 audiobooks in the series that are written by Sinclair (books #1, #5 and #9 - I don't think the other books have an audio version to them) I was lucky enough to find them on that free audiobook codes website and I started this one this morning when I woke up. I just finished, but boy was I surprised when it ended! (they're each about 3hrs long) I'm fixing to start the next one in a min, but thought I'd review it first and let y'all know they're free right now.. I enjoyed Timeless Whisper, Lance and Raven's story is off to an excellent start and it's got the time travel aspect to it that I absolutely love and can't hardly seem to find anywhere (if y'all have any good recs for time travel romance PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE comment them below, I need more in my life 😭)

The concept is interesting and the writing is well done, but I never felt like the purpose of the time travel was explained. There's a sender and a receiver who need to be in place for it to work so something is specifically causing it, but why? It's never really explained and I found that a little frustrating.

Overall it was enjoyable and I'd listen to other books in the series. The character creation is really interesting, having people appear in multiple times was a great idea and it's pulled off really well. The setting is lovely and the descriptions are well done with enough information to form a metal picture without over doing it.

The narration was excellent, great character voices and a really lovely delivery.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

A 2017 Western time travel romance, complete with Outlander jokes, where a NY baker returns to her Texas small town roots.

Hero is not lovable and plot needs editing. But, hard core time travel romance addicts might still enjoy it.

Kelly's narration is solidly good, complete with believable gender switching characterizations.

Audiobook people beware! This is a 14 book series (from 2017) of which only 6 (Aug 2022) are available as audiobooks.

The story is a twist of a couple that has doubles in both time eras. They need to fix the problems that would of kept their great grandchildren from the lives they need to live you will definitely want to read the next installment of the story. All the trials they go through to get where they need to be.

Who would have thought I’d love time travel stories! Well it appears that I do, very much.
Fantastic storyline and very funny at times, I caught myself having a snort giggle while getting dinner ready.
Raven is most certainly a handful, and Lance sure does have his hands full 😂.
Excellent narrative by Meghan Kelly, always a favorite for me.

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title.
She had fled NY in disgrace, thanks to her father's treacherous ways. Only, her hometown was another type of hell.
The diner called to her, as the bells she was running from tolled.
What happened next, she thought a dream, but it was real and where she needed to be.

I'm not normally a fan of time travel, but this book was enjoyable and kept my attention. I loved the h character, full of spunk and sass. The H character, Lance, took some getting used to but he redeemed himself in the end.

The story was good but there were three things to cause me to deduct one star. Lance was a jerk. He simply wasn’t likable. After being so mean to Raven, all the sudden she loved him. I didn’t see that develop. And it ended very abruptly. But, as I said, the story was good and it’s worth reading.

My Reviews

Sometimes Righting A Wrong Takes Time(Travel).

Timeless Whisper is a Connected Standalone by Sandra E. Sinclair, that is part of the multi-author series Timeless Hearts.

Meghan Kelly narrates.

HEA, NO cheating, no cliffhangers!

Even though these are set to be standalones, they tend to be connected by author. Case in point, the characters in the three stories written by Sandra E. Sinclair are connected. #1 is about Raven, #5 is about her best friend Torin, and #9 is her cousin Emily. So I would advise to read these 3 in order to get the most out of the experience.

Length: 3 hrs and 18 mins

Content Warning: This is pretty PG.

♥ Story ♥

This is a time travel series based in the town of Heartsbridge, Texas. There is a portal there from the past to the present or vice versa, whichever way you want to look at it. There is a prequel to the series that can be obtained for free through Amazon that breaks it down, but that is the most important part to note. That and there is a woman manning each end of this portal that look the same because they are of distant family relation.

Raven ❤ Lance

Raven Eyez leaves Heartsbridge, Texas only to return for close to the same reason years later. The stress of everything is getting to her because the voices she is hearing makes her feel like she is on the verge of a mental break. Stopping by a dinner from her past causes a flood of memories and more voices. Exhausted from the stresses of her life, she passes out on a coach in the backroom only to awaken to something different. It takes a bit for Raven to realize that the town she is in and the Lance that is in front of her are not just different in location and personality.

The writing was witty, but I feel that Lance's empath ability was underused. The time travel elements are clever and believable. The characters are endearing and make you want more, so you can find out what happens to everyone else. Once you start you are going to want the other two, so go ahead and get them now.

♥ Author ♥

Sandra E. Sinclair is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors and I am looking forward to more.

♥ Narrator(s) ♥

Meghan Kelly's performance was excellent. There were clear distinctions between her male and female characters.

Timeless Whisper!

I enjoyed this novella. I loved the heroine, Raven. I didn't like the hero, the 1880 Lence. Just a little too intense and I hesitate to say this, but a little too abusive. If it were not for the rope tying incident, he would have won me over from the beginning, because of his heartbreaking story. Except for that, the story line was very good, the writing was good and it kept me interested to the end. JudyE

Interesting story

I enjoyed the overall storyline but some parts confused me a bit! Seems like a few people were already time travelers which surprised me a lot, but what was most hard to grasp was the apparition of Raven's ancestor. I don't know if this element was necessary to the story but I would have enjoyed the book more without it! I did like the way Lance seemed so confused by Raven! She really has her work cut out for her! He's a bit like the Beast from Beauty and the Beast! I hope we see this couple more settled in their relationship in future books!

Wonderful story

I chose the 5 star rating because this book was so sweet and fun to read. Raven is a girl that is almost obsessed with the man she thought she loved ( been there) but when she meets the man of her dreams she never knew she wanted, she finds true happiness. That's a little like my own love story. (except the time travel) This is a wonderful story, I can't wait for the next installment.

For the most part, I enjoyed this time-travel romance. I wasn't overly fond of Lance, but I loved all the other characters. It is a well-paced, imaginative story. I like the author's writing style, and will probably read more in this series.

I listened to the audible version and narrator, Meghan Kelly, did a wonderful job with all the different voices, particularly the male voices. I really enjoyed listening.
