Vampires and shifters don’t mate. It’s impossible, deadly even. Vampires and humans can. Vampires and witches – no problem! But vampires and shifters are incompatible. Unfortunately, the remorseless sabre-tooth tiger shifter trying to woo her doesn’t seem to have got the message.
Faced with his incessant attentions, centuries-old vampire Juliet finally gives in and allows him to tag along on her investigation into the death of a cougar shifter. His short-tempered approach has its uses, and she finds herself increasingly attracted to him. She hopes he will grow bored of her, but as their relationship grows, Juliet fears for their future. Especially when events take an unexpected turn and a long-held vampire secret looks set to explode.
Caution, this does contain swearing (there’s a lot of use of the f word!), as well as scenes of a sexual nature with m/f interaction intended for mature readers.

Worth The Wait, Bring In The Next One !
Love the stories of the SEA. They have action, humor and romance. This story is about the head of the SEA, the mysterious vampire Juliet. The reader gets a glimpse of her past. Juliet keeps the world at arms length, showing them a cool and confident woman. It takes a persistent saber tooth tiger to penetrate the walls around her heart. This is one kitty that won't take no for an answer. This story was worth the read and I can't wait for the next one.

Awesome book about shifters and vampire from the SEA
Juliet is a vampire over 500 years old, director of Supernatural Enforcer Agency or SEA, and cool under pressure. She met Ryder, a throwbacks sabertooth tiger at an illegal auction. Ryder says he is her mate. Juliet doesn't believe that because one of the brothers of her master mated to a shifter and died, his whole bloodline died.
Juliet won't risk Ryder dying. However, she has to solve a case about a shifter murder and find the vampires who did it. Also, she have to keep Ryder at arm length.
The characters are sexy, hilarious, and unique. Think about it, a vampire and a throwback sabertooth tiger being mates. Unbelievable! The plot is fast-paced and most enjoyable reading. I laugh at some of the antic displayed through this whole book. This writer's books is fast becoming the favorite.
I gave you the five star rating but I believe it should be more. I highly recommend this book!

A great story and that is what the focus is here, the story.
This one focuses on Juliet, a vampire and director at the SEA, and Ryder a sabre-tooth tiger we met in the previous book. Ryder proclaims that he is Juliets mate but she disagrees as if a shifter and vampire mate it means death and destruction to a third of her race. However Shifters are thrown together by fate and would fate be so cruel to this pair.
It's full of humour, intrigue, story and some sexiness. I really like this series and am looking forward to Wayne's story, I mean a gator right? I love Bears usually but a gator is fantastic.

why do I have to write a review?
Hate writing reviews bc I already rated it based on giving it 4 out of 5 stars. Wish I did not have to justify why I gave it 4 stars. If u like this genre & u like easy, quick, fun w/out ton of sex scenes type of ebooks then u might like it too. Or u might not bc reading enjoyment is subjective depending on person & their mood. I wanted to help this author bc I enjoy her books so I rated it & then in order to submit the rating I was forced into this review. Meh Get Off My Lawn is how I feel about having to add a review. Peace.

Funny story. The H is shifter (sabre tooth tiger) and is in love with a vampire. He insists they are mates, but her vampire family insist that to mate to a shifter is fatal to her and to her line. The h works for an agency, and is trying to solve a mystery and the H is always there. He is determined to protect her and help her. I liked how we see the H thinks, doesn't take himself seriously, he is not the smartest H, yet he is cute, oh and he might have smelly feet. He is not a typical H but the h finds she herself amused and likes him, then gradually becomes more attracted. Together they find the truth about shifter/vampire mates and also the mystery. It was pretty good.

I have enjoyed this series so much. I've read them all in a row and have laughed and held back tears through all of them. Ryder and Juliet are perfect together. Can't wait to read Wolfman's story!!

Absolutely delightful series
I love this series. This book had a suspenseful aspect that absolutely loved. I really enjoy reading anything by this author because I know I won't be disappointed.

I am a fan of the series. I have loved the characters, the storylines. I have looked forward to each new story. A Bite Before Dying by far is one of my favorite stories.

Captivating Book
I enjoy reading her books. She's such a creative author that once you start reading you are hooked and this one didn't disappoint in any way . It's a book that has humor, suspense, passion, and steamy romance with awesome characters? A must buy and highly recommended.

I love this series!
Price has created a wealth of compelling characters, and placed them in amazingly entertaining plots. The SEA and SBH series are must reads if you enjoy supernatural creatures, action, adventure, and romance.

I have to say this was a pretty good addition to the series. I liked how Ryder didn't give up even tho it seem like he had a lot to over come. He really tried to find the solution so that Juliet and him could be together. There is nice twist to this one that I didn't expect. This series is well worth getting and reading.

Juliet, a vampire director with the SEA, and her recently rescued, very stubborn yet endearing, sabre tooth tiger finally get their moment!!! I was soo excited for this book and it did not disappoint. I couldnt put it down until every last page had been devoured.
