Stacey Donovan grew up in central Illinois, earned her MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Arizona in Tucson, and was a Master Writer at Hallmark in Kansas City, where she wrote several gift books and children’s books. Oh, I loved this book! You actually interact with the book! There's a button that you push to turn it on and then the book listens for specific sentences that you read. Then the conductor of the train asks for the reader to interact further with him. For example, the illustrations of the book show that nobody is on the train, he asks for the reader to yell "All Aboard" and once the reader has done so, he thanks the reader for saying these exact words. It's so special and unique and I was in awe just reading it during my babysitting experience and I'm the adult! I want to try to find it or similar books like it. It, without a doubt, takes reading a book to a child to the next level!!!
