A sassy alter ego. A chance encounter. A lasting love.
Genesis was at the top of her modeling career with everyone wanting to be her. To the world she had the perfect life and more money than she could spend in a lifetime. What no one knew was how unhappy she was. With her mother wanting to live her dreams through her daughter, Genesis had no choice than to flee from her tight clutches. She didn’t expect to meet the man of her dreams or fall in love only to return home alone with a little secret.
All Lucas Flynn Ashford wanted was to spend the last few days as a single man in peace before he entered into a loveless marriage arranged by his parents. Taking a trip to Paris seemed ideal since the city held good memories for him. He didn’t expect he would meet and fall in love with the woman of his dreams. How was he supposed to leave the woman he loves behind to marry one he didn’t?
A Love at first sight and second chance at love novel.
Just ok for me... I still have dislike for the Insta-sex especially between strangers and "love" on first sight scenarios. Then there's the unplanned pregnancy which is for the most part unduly hidden from the father. 😒 I also didn't care for the inner dialogue (Lucifer). It didn't flow well... Gen's mother is a piece of work and undeserving of forgiveness as far as I'm concerned. Just okay....
This was a good book. I felt really bad for Gen and how her mother treated her and everything she ewe t through as a child and young adult. It’s sad that she had to get pregnant in order to break away from her mother. But I was glad she was able to finally take control of her life. And Lucas (Flynn) was the perfect person for Gen. They had a brief love affair that actually turned out to be true love. Luc and Gen were good together and I was happy they finally had their HEA.
Loved Lucas and Gen! This is a cute boy meets girl, boy breaks girl’s heart, boy gets a second chance with girl! I know why she was there but Lucifer got on my nerves, LOL! I wish we could’ve seen how things turned out for Lucas and his parents. But I’m glad you let the story take the lead and didn’t limit it by word count.
The story took you through a wide range of emotions and it could have been a better story but there were just too many mistakes. Plus, I was not completely sold on the ending. But don't take my word for it...find out for yourself.
Well, Miss. Nicole Peters you've done well. I will keep saying it communication is the key to a happy relationship. Lucas and Gen had to realize that. She should have heard him out before making life changing decisions for her life cutting him out of it.
Lucy butting in throughout the story although funny at times was a bit annoying I did not get it until she told Gen goodbye what her role was in her life, best friend, sister, and conscious that it was sad to see her depart from her life.
Lucifer was a way for Gen to cope with all the disappointments and disasters that were in her life. With a controlling and domineering mother, she had to turn somewhere. And then she met Lucas.
Interesting concept, main characters they you can relate too, will every day fears and concerns. Love was a strong factor in this story and helped the characters survive their own internal fights. A good read.
