Although I’m still enjoying the adventures, I’m getting sick of the constant focus on breasts. The mc frequently comments on breast sizes and getting to lean against them or compares them. It’s unnecessary, pervy and gross. Wishing this series used readers on early drafts to help edit out the sexism.

It's interesting reading this and comparing the differences to the web novel version. New sections added. Characters introduced at different times.

Still the same Satou just wanting to travel and sight-see. And getting drug into problems everywhere he goes.

Things are now motoring along nicely in this series. This volume is I think the first to be 100% outside and beyond the story in the anime. (The previous volume also was mostly new story beyond the anime but there were bits and pieces)

That being said this book (and the entire series) see's a lot of fan service moments. In fact at one point in this volume it is directly referred to as fan service! (I'm not a fan of this)

But the story is still moving along nicely. Volume 5 is a lot more action oriented.

4 out of 5.

This Isekai, Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, is one of the best I have read so far. It starts off with the protagonist, Satou who is a programmer at a gaming company falling asleep under his bench at work after working himself to fatigue and then he finds himself in a fantasy world similar to the game he was working on, and he soon realises he is not dreaming but really there. He soon is in a harem situation, starting with 3 slave girls he rescued, some princesses, an elf maiden and more.

Enjoyable reading

It's just a fun series to read. There's enough serious action to keep you interested but with plenty of more light hearted moments mixed in as well

Thank you for the light novel version

I loved the foreshadowing elements of the story. as well as the details that are translated which makes it easier to follow the story.

Much better volume than the previous. The final fight was what I wanted this to be the entire time and I hope it continues in that direction.

best volume yet

This action packed and at times emotional volume lets you follow Satou through the dangerous river journey to the old capital. But who else might be there?

Almost death

Satou fights a real demon lord and we find that levels aren’t everything in this world. Sara the oracle lady almost died, but luckily she was resurrected in time.

The ending is epic!

Satou is having fun dealing with the girls, learning magic, and trying to not get involved. Only he fails miserably as usual.

We meet Sara, an oracle, and we watch as the crew get broiled into the intrigues of the world.

Good book.
