This is the conclusion to Adriana and Callum's story and although I enjoyed it I felt like it was rushed I would have liked a little bit more. the stuff with Jason, stuff with Nessa. I just felt so much was missing. but I do enjoy these books this one just I felt let down hence why I gave it 3.5 stars.

Love but....
I want to start out saying I LOVE Hannah Ford's books! Now that being said I had to give Because He Loves Me 3 stars even though I'm more leaning towards 4 stars. The overall story of Adriana and Callum I loved but to be completely honest I felt no connection with this last book because it had been so very long since book 9 and I'd honestly forgotten what had occurred in the story. Book 10 felt rushed and I just didn't care for that. The only good thing now is that Hannah Ford's new readers can have this full story and enjoy it as it should be enjoyed.

Yowza! Because He Loves Me is the tenth and final installment in the sinfully seductive serial Because He Owns Me by Hannah Ford and may I just say - WOW! Please be aware, as I indicated above, this is a multi-installment serial but this book is the long-awaited conclusion to Adriana and Callum's story. It is NOT a standalone read so if you haven't read Books One through Nine, please STOP here. I began reading Ford's work a few years ago after discovering her What He Wants Series. She seems to specialize in serialized multi-installment novels with each release being the equivalent of one or two chapters totaling 35 to 50 pages each. I find I actually enjoy this concept as long as the books are released regularly. Each book is a quick enjoyable read and perfect for what I like to call a palette cleanser - something to stop sensory overload, relax my mind and enjoy in between heavy, full-length novels. Sadly, I feel compelled to mention, the last two books of this serial were not released in a timely manner. The first eight installments were published regularly, every six to eight weeks, but the ninth took four months, and the tenth and final book took eight months. Many readers, including me, were not happy with the delay. I realize life happens but after spending months following a story, a reader becomes invested in the characters. It's very unprofessional to leave readers hanging. I'd actually given up hope on the story ever being finished, but, thankfully, it has. Enough said! Ford is exceptionally talented in crafting realistic contemporary storylines with complex characters, suspenseful plot twists and lots of steam. She also excels at maintaining the momentum of the story throughout the entire book without having to use empty filler to pace the story. If it's there, you better believe it means something and will be important at some point. Her stories are fast paced and filled with real-life scenarios, heartwarming romance, steamy sex, engaging characters, heart-breaking drama, agonizing angst, along with surprising twists at every turn. She keeps us guessing and on our toes, wondering what will happen next. Ford is an exceptionally talented storyteller with that 'special something' that keeps readers glued to their screens and begging for more. It's hard to describe but there's just something about Ford's easy prose that appeals to me. But I digress, so let's talk about Because He Loves Me. The story is exciting, enchanting, romantic, seductive and arousing. The narrative is exceptionally well written in the first person with alternating his and her points of view although the main POV seems to come from Adriana O'Connor aka "Lemon", the female protagonist of the story. The dialogue is smart, snappy, raw and compelling. The characters are powerful, captivating, complex, engaging, intriguing and sexy as sin. Ford skillfully crafts these elements into an enticingly sweet cocktail of adult romance with a dash of mystery, suspense and a very erotic twist of BDSM. This story grabbed me from the beginning and would not let go! I can't seem to get enough of Callum and Lemon! Did I like this story? No, I loved it! Would I recommend it? There were a few minor errors but nothing that distracted me from the story. Now that it's finally finished, I would definitely recommend it but only for adult readers since it does contain explicit language, elements of BDSM, and steamy, dreamy love scenes. So, if I loved it so much, why only four stars? It's just not cool to make your loyal readers wait eight months. Releasing only two installments in twelve months is unprofessional and very disappointing. Will I read this author again? Yes, but I'll be more selective about my choices, especially if it's another serial. Was I entertained? Completely!

Book One: This story features recent college graduate Adriana O'Connor who has recently moved from Michigan to New York City to find a job, hopefully in a publishing house and start her new life. Although not unfamiliar with the ways of the world, she is quite naive. And apparently, she is also quite submissive as is quickly discovered by handsome, charismatic billionaire Callum Wilder, CEO and Founder of Wilder Holdings, LLC. Adriana has agreed to meet Nathan, whom she met on a dating app, for a blind date at Whipped, a club located in Midtown Manhattan. Nathan is a no-show and leaves the lovely Adriana waiting alone. Adriana is totally unaware that whipped is a BDSM Light Club and is caught totally off guard when she catches the eye of someone else... someone dark, handsome and much more experienced...someone who wants to dominate and own her...for only one night. What? One night??? Handsome billionaire Callum Wilder is immediately taken with the innocent young beauty sitting alone in the bar but Callum does not date nor does he do relationships. So what does he want with the lovely, innocent Adriana??? Well. he wants one night only of complete possession and mind-blowing sex! What??? Yep, one night and what arrogant and self-assured Callum Wilder wants, he pursues and conquers - for one night only, of course! Oh my! But, apparently, it was never out of Callum's mind because somehow he finds her the very next day and all but demands that she join him for lunch. Of course, it's not a lunch date because the arrogant Callum Wilder doesn't do dates. Riigghhtt.......not a date then!!! He's determined to have her and still wants her to submit to him for one night. Can he convince her to reconsider and accompany him on a business trip to Florida where he intends to have his wicked way with her - for only one night, of course! Nope, she refuses his offer until........Well, I'll never tell! Yep, the unworldly Adriana is definitely in way over her head with the sophisticated, charming and very dominant Callum Wilder and if she isn't careful, she may just find herself swimming with a shark! Oh my gracious! This is the one we've been waiting for.....Does she or doesn't she??? And who is Rose??? I'm dying to know!
Book Three: Well, I'll go ahead and let the cat out of the bag! In Book Two we did learn that yes, she did accompany him on his private jet to his luxurious home in Florida for his "business" meeting. And yes she agreed to finally have sex with him, but....are you sitting down? Before he would touch her at all, she had to sign a privacy and a non-disclosure statement and an ironclad contract agreeing that it would be for ONLY one night; she was to never disclose any details, she could never tell anyone and she could never, ever contact him for any reason - no exceptions! And if by chance they ever meet again, she was to act as if she doesn't even know him at all? What the heck? And if that isn't enough, she also had to agree to be his submissive for the night, completely submit to his every command and to do anything and everything he wanted! Oh my! Surely, Adriana told him to take a long walk off a short pier, right? Wrong! And once their one night was over, he flew her back home to NYC without barely a word and dropped her like yesterday's garbage. Adriana is hurt, humiliated and broken-hearted. And just when she thinks her life is going down the toilet, she receives a call inviting her to a job interview at Archway Publishing. Did she even apply there? She's completed so many applications, she can't even remember but Adriana has a strong feeling that Callum may have had something to do with her job offer. And guess what? He did! What will Adriana do now? Will she or won't she accept the job? Since returning from Florida after his one night with Adriana, Callum is haunted by the lovely Lemon. Well, maybe there are actually two problems; the second one being that Callum won't leave her alone despite the contract he made her sign stating that she would never see or contact again. It seems Callum can't and won't abide by his own rules. Trying to conceal her past and current relationship from her boss, Kriesten, is becoming increasingly more difficult when Callum seems intent on breaking her resolve to not see him. And when she does see him, she simply can't resist him. What's a girl to do??? Why be literally kidnapped from a work related party by the handsome billionaire, of course!!!
Callum Wilder has become a man possessed. He can't stop thinking about the beautiful luscious Lemon. He can't stand seeing another man touch his Lemon. He's breaking his own rules and doing the one thing he vowed to never do. But he's determined to not only possess her but own her as well - whether she likes it or not. When Rose shows up the next morning and lets herself into the apartment with her own key, Adriana suddenly realizes the truth - this is not his actual residence but only an apartment he maintains apparently for sex. Huh? But before she can make a hasty retreat, Rose takes a drug overdose. Adriana is forced to call 911 and becomes swept up in the drama with Rose resulting in a confrontation with Callum at the hospital where she walks away from him determined to end their relationship for good - again. After refusing to accept his calls throughout the day, Callum breaks into Adriana's apartment that evening where she succumbs to his sexual advances and her feelings for him - again. After a wonderful night with Callum filled with surprising, first-time "vanilla sex", he finally confesses the true nature of his past and current relationship with Rose and makes Adriana a proposition - one in which she must sign another contract but in this one, he will own her - totally and completely - and control every aspect of her life. Unfortunately, the conditions will not be reciprocated; she will have no claim on him at all. What will Adriana decide? Will she once again be swept away by his charm and the feelings she has for him? Will she accept or refuse the terms of this relationship with Callum? And why is Jason, Callum's neighbor from Florida suddenly in New York and is he following Adriana???

Of course, Adriana decides to accept the terms of the contract to be with Callum and she gets a very realistic taste of what her agreement, submission, and punishment will include. And HOLY HOTNESS BATMAN! It's hot and steamy! Although she may have read the contract, the naive Adriana had no real idea what Callum actually has in store for her. But apparently, even the handsome, dominant Callum is completely unprepared for the depth and intensity of his feelings for his beautiful innocent Lemon. As each of the lovers struggle with their growing addiction for each other, things begin to unravel around them. As a result of her continuing relationship with Callum, Adriana realizes she is in a precarious position with her boss and now runs the risk of not only losing her new job but also losing her dream of working in publishing - forever. While Adriana battles the emotional turmoil of her personal life alone, Callum continues to exert his influence to bend her to his will. Unfortunately, his carefully orchestrated control over his own life also slowly begins to unravel when a surprising event forces him to admit that his enemies may now have become enemies to Adriana and a risk to her safety. And the situation becomes even more intense when he receives unexpected news announcing the death of someone close to him.
Book Seven:
The tragic news of Rose's death has caused Callum's ongoing battle with his own addiction to alcohol to rear its ugly head as his guilt and self-loathing continue to escalate. Rose's death has affected him adversely and Adriana witnesses Callum's struggle first hand as he spirals out of control and tempted to fall back to the destructive comfort of his drug of choice, alcohol.
Book Eight:
Callum has moved the lovely Adriana into a multi-million dollar luxury apartment and his demands on her and her time are growing more intense and demanding. He continues his struggle to come to terms with Rose's death and has failed in resisting the temptation of his old addition. A friend from the past makes a sudden appearance in Callum's life who seems to encourage his relapse, but Callum continues to assure Adriana that he is in control of his addiction. Unfortunately, his actions prove otherwise when he shows up inebriated and completely out of control at an Archway Publishing function, attacks Dean Bellingham, costs Adriana her job and then, is arrested for assault. Oh my! It certainly doesn't look like he's in control but is Callum deceiving Adriana or himself? And now, Callum must make a decision, quite possibly the most important of his life, as he finally realizes he is completely and irrevocably in love with Adriana O'Connor. But what will prove to be more important for the handsome, long-suffering billionaire? His addiction to alcohol, his need for control, or his feelings for his lovely, sweet Lemon? Will Adriana be able to adjust and submit to Callum's ever increasing demands and control over her and every aspect of her life? Will Callum be able to overcome his personal demons and admit his true feelings for Adriana before it's too late? It seems to always be one step forward and two steps back with Callum and Adriana but has he finally gone too far and lost his Lemon for good? We'll see!
Book Nine: Adriana has been fired from her job as a result of Callum's behavior, and Callum has been arrested. Oh no! How the mighty have fallen! Has Callum finally pushed his Lemon too far? Callum may have realized too late how much he truly loves Adriana. He has some serious groveling to do this time to win her back but does Callum Wilder even know how to ask for forgiveness? Will Callum be able to resist the pull of his addiction and finally open his heart and give Adriana the thing she so desperately needs? We'll see!
Book Ten:
Broken-hearted and, now, unemployed, Adriana returns home to Michigan to attend her sister's wedding... alone. And guess who shows up? Yep, Callum arrives at her parents' home, completely uninvited, unexpected and determined to win back his Lemon. But this time, it's Lemon who is keeping a secret...one that could destroy everything. Oh my! A perfect ending to a perfectly delightful story! I just love happy endings... so dreamy! *sigh*
Buckle up, my lovelies, for the heartwarming conclusion to Callum and Lemon's story! Deliciously seductive, seriously sexy, completely captivating and wonderfully entertaining! What more could you ask of a great read? Not a darn thing!!! And FYI, as an added bonus, this book also includes a steamy full-length standalone contemporary romance (almost 200 pages) entitled Jackson, the first release in The Billionaire Croft Brothers which I enjoyed immensely. Loved it!

When Rose shows up the next morning and lets herself into the apartment with her own key, Adriana suddenly realizes the truth - this is not his actual residence but only an apartment he maintains apparently for sex. Callum has moved the lovely Adriana into a multi-million dollar luxury apartment and his demands on her and her time are growing more intense and demanding. He continues his struggle to come to terms with Rose's death and has failed in resisting the temptation of his old addition. A friend from the past makes a sudden appearance in Callum's life who seems to encourage his relapse, but Callum continues to assure Adriana that he is in control of his addiction. Unfortunately, his actions prove otherwise when he shows up inebriated and completely out of control at an Archway Publishing function, attacks Dean Bellingham, costs Adriana her job and then, is arrested for assault. Oh my! It certainly doesn't look like he's in control but is Callum deceiving Adriana or himself? And now, Callum must make a decision, quite possibly the most important of his life, as he finally realizes he is completely and irrevocably in love with Adriana O'Connor. But what will prove to be more important for the handsome, long-suffering billionaire? His addiction to alcohol, his need for control, or his feelings for his lovely, sweet Lemon? Will Adriana be able to adjust and submit to Callum's ever increasing demands and control over her and every aspect of her life? Will Callum be able to overcome his personal demons and admit his true feelings for Adriana before it's too late? It seems to always be one step forward and two steps back with Callum and Adriana but has he finally gone too far and lost his Lemon for good? We'll see!

Will Callum be able to resist the pull of his addiction and finally open his heart and give Adriana the thing she so desperately needs? We'll see!

Broken-hearted and, now, unemployed, Adriana returns home to Michigan to attend her sister's wedding... alone. And guess who shows up? Yep, Callum arrives at her parents' home, completely uninvited, unexpected and determined to win back his Lemon. But this time, it's Lemon who is keeping a secret...one that could destroy everything. Oh my! A perfect ending to a perfectly delightful story! I just love happy endings... so dreamy! *sigh*

What more could you ask of a great read? Not a darn thing!!! And FYI, as an added bonus, this book also includes a steamy full-length standalone contemporary romance (almost 200 pages) entitled Jackson, the first release in The Billionaire Croft Brothers which I enjoyed immensely. Loved it!

Absolutely love getting my teeth stuck into Hannas books i completed all ten books yesterday the only disappointment is the fact that there are so many books when really theres only enough material that make one or two full books i don’t see the need for 10 60 page books i think you would get more readers if u considered merging them i to one book rather than spread them out I’m still waiting on book 27 from the last series 😡

book was good, but I felt like it was rushed a bit. I don't feel like I got as many answers as I would of liked.i would of liked it to be a little longer and go more into detail about somethings, like Nessa's issues and possible metal state, and all the crap with Jason. but overall a good book and a awesome series.

I am glad that Adriana and Callum got their happily ever after, however I would have preferred seeing that in maybe 3 books vs 10. As with other reviews the series was so spread out that it was hard to remember everything that happened. I also find Callum's change very sudden and unrealistic versus his actions in the prior 9 books. Again there were some grammatical and spelling errors, which I find very distracting.

Disappointed by the time in between installments
It was a super good ending but it took forever for the last installment that wasn't even that long, 33 pages maybe.

This series sent me on a roller coaster ride but I am glad that Cullum and Adriana finally got their HEA. It was pretty dicey at times, lots of excitement and suspense. Great series!

Can't Put My Finger On It
I really enjoyed this series at the start but somewhere along the way it lost the momentum. I am glad Callum and Lemon received their HEA but I can't put my finger on where it went wrong. Just not one of my favorites by this author.
