HUGE plot holes and unaddressed weirdness. The language in this was very flowery and the two guys actually called each other "my dear" all the time. Who does that? They also call each other beautiful and compliments take up most of the dialogue. The sex was all the same and had very little detail--and dry, ouch! I had wanted to try one of Nightshade's books since he puts them out at a prodigious rate. Now I see why! I don't see myself sampling any others.

An alien perspective

The previous books in this series focusses on the human perspective, but this one starts from the Alien perspective, providing some interesting world building, and filling in some blanks on where these Aliens come from, before giving occasional glimpses of the human, Callum's perspective.

This book is also more firmly rooted in the here and now reality, though it gives a good explanation about how Kai and his fellow Aliens communicate with thoughts, travel etc.

All in all I really enjoyed this read, and it's unexpected twists.
