I used this book to find blocks to put together a sampler quilt for beginners. It has a nice collection of different blocks. For each one, it lists a symbol for shapes used, techniques used and skill level. Also for each, it provides cutting instructions and what other blocks might match if you are creating a larger quilt. The introduction is fairly basic but includes about a dozen large projects combining blocks. At the end of the list of blocks is also a short summary of technique and templates for blocks that don't use squares/strips/triangles. A useful resource but blocks are only with guidance for making them as 6-inch blocks, and of course there are still more blocks out there than 200, so this is a bit of a drop in the bucket. The nice thing is that if you are trying to put together a project you can easily mix and match these blocks to get a beautiful quilt.
