In the same satirical comedy vein as Douglas Adams’ Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Terry Pratchett’s The Color of Magic, Fairyland Overdrive delivers a fast-paced collection of intertwined stories filled with the kind of strong characters and fantastic situations that only speculative fiction can deliver!
I try to be nice about books because I understand that it takes a lot to write and finish one. This book left me cold. There were numerous spelling and formatting errors, and there didn't seem to be much of a story. I couldn't find anything about the characters that I liked, and it took all my willpower to just finish the book.
This is the second book I've read that uses science to explain magic, this book introduces some of the main characters, with one being most prominent in the three mini stories, don't know yet where it's going but that demon is hard to 'read'. Yeah it's a pun.
