My mystery donor gave me twins.
I need money, but what boss would let me bring my baby twins to work? Just when it looks like I'm done for... HE answers my ad.
Cassius Anderson is rich, powerful, and he looks amazing in a suit. He says he needs someone to do light work for him at his home office. Most importantly, my twins can come with me.
Everything he offers makes it sound like he has a huge heart.
But he doesn't.
He's given me a great job and a place to stay, so why does he act so cold? So distant?
I'm sure he hates me... until the first time he kisses me.
After that, he's a whole different man—someone who can't get enough, who won't stop touching me.
What I don't know is that Cassius has a huge secret.
And it's going to change my whole world when I find out what it is.

I really wanted to like this one. I normally don't have any problem with OTT stories and cheesy dialogues. I usually love them and their drama.

Unfortunately this time I had specific problems with this story:

1. How can a woman go to a fertility clinic to have a baby alone without a backup plan, some extra cash for a few years ahead at least and a steady well paid job from which she cannot get fired at any time? Personal assistant, secretary and this type of jobs are neither well paid, nor secured.
2. How can she not know that she may have twins? I believe the chance to convince twins in a fertility clinic is very high. Usually the doctor aims for more than one kid to increase the survival of at least one of them.
3.How could she sleep overnight at the house of someone she knew for only a few hours together with her two helpless innocent babies? It is okay if it was just her. But she had her babies with her. What if the guy was dangerous. How stupid and irresponsible were her actions!
4. The guy had a crib at his house without having any kids. This was just creepy.
5.Fertility clinics don't lose samples and they don't mix samples. This is even creepier.

Anyway, not my kind of story. Not really romantic, not smutty, not convincing, not relaxing.

The Billionaire's Secret Babies
⭐️

I've read this is shortest record time. I don't even know where to start, I mean...
Manila got fired - She found a new boss - They slept over the first night - she got a new car the second day - they fucked - she found out about the file - they made up and said i love yous (THAT FAST) - then they lived happily ever after. How akward is that? C'mon. I know novellas are short, but not rushed. This one it was like a whiplash! You got me on the book cover tho.

** ARC RECEIVED IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW **

** 3.5 stars **

The title pretty much sums up the story.   Single woman, tired of trying to find Mr Right, goes to a fertility clinic and get artificially inseminated.  After being fired, she just so happens to get hired by a wealthy businessman to do some home office work- not knowing just how connected they are.

The hero, Cassius, was just ok.  Since the story was told entirely from the heroine's POV,  he felt distant to me, often running hot and cold with the heroine.

Manila, the heroine, was a good mom.  She loved her kids dearly and no matter what hard times she fell on, she didn't regret going at motherhood alone.

-no cheating
-no om drama
-no ow drama - but
-pushing away that lasted overnight
-just ok epilogue

“I need to fuck you”
“Take me.”

Rather me, me!
(Damn, I wasn’t loud enough!)

His cock is hard as a rock, smooth as velvet, and big. Very big. Can I even take a cock like his?

If not, girl, give me a call!

I have only one question: did she really attached a photo with the babies to her resume, or did I get it wrong?
I might borrow this trick from her…

That was a sweet, entertaining short story. I liked the characters and the whole book flows very easily. I wanted a dual pov in order to connect with Cassius more and as the secret was not a secret for any of us, it wouldn't be a problem. If you want an easy romance read with no angst, this is it...

MUST READ!!!!! I have read a lot of Penny's books but this one was one of my favorite... It's a story about a girl that is struggling with here life, she just got fired from her steady job and in the same time struggling with raising twins by herself... so Manila is looking for a job and get an interview with Cassius and Cassius has fixed everything for Manila to move in and even brought a crib for the twins so the question is what is his deal in all of this??? .... The meeting part with Cassius is similar to something.... There were enough of HOT take a break scenes between Manila and Cassius and the chemistry between those two jus Wow.... I really recommend this book if you want to read something sexy short and really like something mysterious and Cassius if awesome with the twins but most of all the epilogue is still the best :D I love them all... I'm honestly honored that I had the privilege to read Penny's book and would be honored in the future to read any of her books.... I really recommend them all because they are just amazing.

Cute read...I liked the plot but.....spoilers ahead!!!....ok...I am always a sucker for insta-love stories & unbelievable stories...and this one was it. BUT...when you have the Hero be unfertile (the only fertile sample he had was used on Manila by accident & she became pregnant with twins), and has had test done to prove her is sterile...why oh why would you have Manila get knocked up again within 2 weeks of meeting him. I would have preferred an epilogue maybe 5...10 years down the road where they miraculously become pregnant. I dunno....maybe it's just me, but the whole pregnancy thing was too much.

An engaging and sexy short story. Manila has always been alone but not anymore. She has newborn twins to call her own. But she loses her job and has nowhere to go. A surprise job opportunity leads her to the Billionaire Cassius' home. He needs a personal assistant and allows her to take her babies with her.
Cassius is hot and sexy. She can't help be attracted to him. He is hot and cold, warm and frigid to her. But she can't help notice how caring he is with her children. But he's keeping a secret which when revealed, will change her life.
Sexy, hot and fun short read.

I liked this book, but tbh I just didn't love it as much as some of PWyds others.

I can usually easily suspend reality & switch off my logical brain for the enjoyment of a book & escape into it... but it wasn't so easy for me with this read.

Could absolutely be my frame of mind at the time, or simply that this plot & these characters just didn't light my candle.

Luckily, this author writes plenty of other fab books that do.

Manila and Cassius.....

This was a charming, delightful and erotic story. I was enamored by this book from the beginning. Of course, I am always a sucker for a sexy hero with babies. So swoon worthy.

Manila has had enough of dating. Every man in her life has let her down. But Manila always wanted a family. As soon as she was in a good place, financially, she made an informed decision to be artificially inseminated and ended up having twins! Luca and Lucie were adorable!

A few months after the babies were born, Manila lost her job. It became nearly impossible to find another job that would fit in with her schedule. But then luck is on her side when Manila decided to place a 'situation wanted' add.

Casious is a very wealthy, sexy, gorgeous business man. He answers Manila's add and hires her as his personal assistant. Manila would work in her own office in Cassius' home. The most amazing part was that she could bring her babies to work with her.

At first Cassius was standoffish and guarded with Manila. But when it came to the babies, he was openhearted and generous with smiles. It took some time but Manila and Cassius fell into a relationship. It started as casual but quickly evolved to more.

I absolutely adored this sweet and sexy romance. Manila and Cassius deserved love and they longed to have that with each other. Manila wanted a man who was trustworthy and would accept her and her children. Cassius was happy to be that man; he longed for a family of his own.

There is a small bit of angst but nothing that doesn't resolve quickly. But Cassius does have a secret. A big one! What will happen when all is revealed? Even though this book was a bit predictable, I still loved it. One more thing...I wished we had Cassius POV as well. I wanted to know him better and not being able to be in his head was a little disappointing and the reason for my 4.5 star rating instead of 5.

Lovely story. This little tale of babies, a struggling mother and a billionaire with a secret (or two) can coax a smile and a moan out of anyone!

The premise is both fun and provocative as a single mother of twins tries hard to keep up with her decision to have a baby through artificial insemination. Out of the blue, she finds herself seduced by the caring nature and good looks of a new boss who seems intent on providing for her welfare.

I confess that I relished every chapter in this fairy-tale sweet romance. Thro growing closeness between Manila and Cassius (such original names), the adorable babies and all the situations that involved taking care of them, and also the man's pampering of the mum in his employ, all the gloriously hot, steamy scenes. There's only one POV which works well to keep the little mystery about this gorgeous man's intentions, and how they come to light an adds that spark of drama before the very happy, very rewarding ending. This is another fantastic novella from an author I cannot help but indulge myself with.

This story was written for those of us who like it when something good happens to a person who is having a not so good life. Manila was artificially inseminated because she wanted children but was having a hard time finding a good man. She decided to have a baby and raise it alone. She got her baby and in her words, "a bonus."

Cassius hires Manila for a job as his personal assistant after she places an ad looking for work. He is super organized and for all appearances not really on need of an assistant. Manila gladly accepts the job and the "request" that she move in to his apartment.

This book was given to me in exchange for my honest review. This is a shorter story that keeps the reader engaged. It doesn't drag on and on describing unnecessarily. The style is easy to follow and fun to read. There was just enough sex, normal stuff and conflict to make this a really good read.

This book just tried so hard!

I wanted to like it .. I mean it has a millionaire mysterious Hero, A lot of "sexy" talk and cute babies!!!
but it failed on so many levels!!

I mean tell me where in the world does it make sense that you just met the man a couple of hours ago and you move in with him!!!! with your BABIES!!!

He buys her all new clothes, a new car, and he already had all the things the twins would need ... and that didn't freak her out, you ask?

No she actually jumps his bones!!!!

And when he shows her a room full of baby stuff ... and I mean FULL, it had all types of clothes, shoes, socks and diapers for the babies for now and when they get older!!!! and he just met her and her babies!!!!!

Does she freak out now??! ... NO

She says it's like stepping into a surprise baby shower!!!!!

and the Hero's dirty talk was downright nauseating!!!!

This author is now becoming one of my go to authors when I am looking for a steamy, sexy read because she brings it. And in this story, she definitely brings the heat, the steam, and the awesome angst/story.
Here you have a single woman name Manila who couldn’t find her mister right so she goes to a fertility clinic and get artificially inseminated. She is blessed with twins and after coming back from maternity leave, her longtime boss fires her. Manila is devastated because she has her babies to care for. Right about this time, the hero, Cassius ends up hiring her. He is a very wealthy businessman who immediately hires Manila. There is this chemistry between them. Manila cares about her babies yet around Cassius, her body awakes as though she is coming out of a long sleep.
Cassius blows hot and cold around Manila yet she craves him. What she doesn’t know is he is hiding a deep secret that could affect their budding relationship. When she finds out and trust me, she will, will that 86 them for good? Oh this short but sexy read is one you do not want to miss.

My rating: 4.5 stars ****

3 call me little mama Stars~~
Hmm... am I the only one who watches Criminal Minds? That shit has me on high alert, and I don't even have any kids. But here, Manila, mother of infant twins, has no damn protective instincts. She is way too lax.

Just imagine. A stranger offers you a job, with great pay, flexible hours, barely any responsibilities and kids are welcome! Plus, he has a spare room, with a crib big enough for two babies, and gives you exclusive use of a car, with car seats that are perfect for your kids, and he tells you to move into his home for convenience. Yeah. Nothing weird about that.

Still, quite sweet. A short story wrapped up with the perfect epilogue. So, even with its flaws, it was a fun little read. Oh, and the sex, the sex was smokin. Penny has written many steamy scenes, and a great example of her erotic writing skills are the ones depicted in this story.

Well, that was underwhelming.

Not gonna comment on the whole steady job thing because I saw some reviewer did that already.

Instead, what is up with our heroine? How can you trust someone whom you've met for only a day that have somehow have a spare bedroom filled with female clothes, extra crib and somehow is so willing to help that he either give you a driver or loan you a car? This is insane! What if he's secretly a murderer. And you have children who'd cry at night.

There's a lot of suspension of disbelief that we gotta do to enjoy this....but author-san, you could at least make it a bit more believable. Let them get to know each other a bit before trusting each other blindly.

I'm really enjoying making my way through this author's books - but some aren't going to be my cup of tea...

It's usually moment that any book goes too insta...well, everything in this case (it was way, way too OTT for me) that I just want to get them over with and some of PW's books are like that.

I'll say that if you do love the insta-lust/love/moving in angle, then this will probably be a 5 star read for you :)
