"Of course you know about the seven stages of love, but have you ever lived them?"
Atharva Rathod and Meher Qasim.
Lovebirds since adolescence. Bonded by love, separated by circumstances. They part ways only to meet again. But this time, he is on a secret mission...
Are they in control of their own destiny, or its their destiny which is making them dance to its tunes? Only time would answer, as Atharva and Meher unwillingly and unknowingly transcend the seven stages of love.
A quintessential tale of love and romance marked beautifully by its own rustic old school charm.

The characters posses gravity and aid the storytelling in an efficient manner. The book is eventful and keeps you hooked.
Like I mentioned in my progress update that the first portion deals with the puppy love stemming between high school students was very much cliched and was wearing off the initial cuteness that got me interested.
But the story's genre changes on its head and the pace is all revamped once the secret agent part comes into play. Quite amazing that I am sold again as a reader. The buildup of characters is effective for the most part and the author does a more than good job in setting up the plot.
If I could offer rectifications, those would be to have proper separations between scene changes as transitions seemed abrupt and broke the literary smoothness. A fine editing phase can weed out this small yet important anomaly in otherwise a 4 star storytelling.
Finally the last part has something in for you that you'd better read yourself to find out. The characters of Meher and Atharva are scrupulously drawn to point out the flaws and weaknesses that shape up their destinies.
The "ishq" component stands out as a masterclass in this book called Unns. Stages of love are warmly spread on the vast expanse of the grass for you to lie down to with your soulmate.
Finally found a romance book written by an Indian author, which I'll recommend whole-heartedly to others! This book was so much refreshing to read. It had that old school romance, but some modern elements were added, which balanced the romance in such a way that the reading experience was nothing less than pleasant. The description was so vivid and that high school romance is something every Indian kid would relate himself to. The simplicity of the book enthralled me. I couldn't keep it down. I just wanted to read it forever. Let me clear you one thing, there are seldom any moments of direct romance in this book. There are many more indirect instances which were perfect for me to enjoy it. You know, sometimes adding mystery to something enhances its charm. That's what happened in this book. As too much romance in a monotonous way throughout the book can bore, putting the same thing in a different, indirect manner is such a pleasant change. The story is very close to my definition of a perfect story. It has romance, drama, feelings, action and the thrill. So many factors are thrown into the story that I always looked forward to what will happen next. The book has an aura about it. The scenes feel vivid. For me, it was like watching a good movie. Sometimes, even with a not-so-great story, one enjoys the book because of its aura. But this book had both of them. I was reading it so fast that even my eyes complained. I had only one issue with the book: the editing part. The scenes were not separated for the reader to identify that there is a chance in scene now. It took me a moment to realise that now the writer has switched to another scene. Apart from this tiny flaw, I think the book was a great read. I'll recommend it to anyone who wants to read romance that comes with a bit of action and drama, without anything cheesy but enough to satiate your hunger for a good fiction book.
UNNS.. The Captivation by Sapan Saxena, a story which given out a deep and deepest impact in me. Not every story can does this kind of impact, but this story does. Its merely an another love story releases in the market but it also differs because of writer's unique story telling skills which makes to turn the pages till the last.
About the story its is all about, Atharva Rathod an senior RAW agent, a strongest person who have only one weakness Meher Qasim his love of life. The story starts when Atharva intended to stop writing diary and gives it read for one last time. Story flows through school days of Atharva from how he met her and how they loved each other alike all ours first love story which we can't live with it and also we can't forget. After the school they separate, but their destiny makes each other meet once again after fifteen years when Atharva is on secret mission for RAW at Germany. What happens there after? Will their memories cherish there after? Or else destiny have own plot again?
The language chosen by author is simple lucid which makes read more comfortable, Am Reading a love story so intensely after so long time. I'm sure of these kind of stories will hit the box office too if it made as film. The chapters in which Atharva comes to know she betrayed her once again after fifteen years are really touched me. How he recovers and gives back what she deserves after her betrayal is optimistic.
The narration were so rugged makes to keep going with the flow, other than little typo errors I can't find a flaw in this novel. It will be a perfect novel to be pick up for good time :)
Even the cover is so beautiful and mild which makes you too understand what it contains behind. The name UNNS, which is one of seven stages of love mentioned in Urdu means the stage of infatuation when people think they're in love, but actually aren't, it's merely attraction and captivation. Altogether a well plotted novel, must say.
UNNS, The captivation - Novel to love and cherish with equal thrilling experiences between a RAW agent Atharva and Meher a terrorist whom India is searching for.
What a Book. Simply an awesome read for all of us and one should not refrain himself/herself from reading UNNS by Sapan. And it is obvious for you to feel for the protagonist here. So You may all be guessing the story by the look of cover and most of you would have thought it to be just another love story of a boy and a girl. Well it is such story where a boy and girl falls in love but it has much more than just the love story we usually read and that's the USP of the book. The story revolve around Atharva Rathod who was in love with Meher Qasim and so was she, until one day when Meher refrain herself and ends the relationship abruptly due to her parents pestering. Atharva on the other hand was all broken after the breakup but nothing can be done too because she traveled far from him, from any of his and her acquaintances. Years later, Atharva working as one of the reputed officer for RAW, often helping agents executing the successful confidential missions. One such mission where Atharva was asked to spy on the retired scientist, Miyaz Sheikh who was once a senior scientist working on the missile program. Atharva was asked to spy on Miyaz who was now learning stuff he never had time for in Germany. Atharva follows him to Germany not only to work on the assigned mission but also to start from whence he left. There he meets Meher working as retail supplier for the hotels. There meeting after the years only lead to revelation that they were still in love but still hesitant to accept. Atharva's mission on the other hand was also makes decent progress and it was assumed that he would soon be nabbing the culprit. But when everything was going as per plan, it was time for the unexpected turn of events. Atharva was arrested for the breach of information due to which several agents die. He was poisoned for fourteen years for the crime which he never committed. Do you wish to know the culprit who the real culprit was? Well you may or you may not be and if you really wish to know read this book for sure. Well the thing that really mesmerized me was the seven stages of love. I would have never known it, if I had not read UNNS. It was really awesome to read about the stages and my favourite is also UNNS. What else I loved in the book is the story of Matthias Steiner, that Atharva narrates to Meher. It was really a good to listen such story. There aren't much suggestion I would give to author other than it's being a bit relevant and predictable still this can be looked upon when the end is that good. So read this book because it isn't specifically for set of romance lovers
A quintessential love story of Atharva and Meher. The circumstances make them parted their ways but destiny has other plans for them. They met again after fifteen years in Munich, Germany.
The story is a soulful love story of Meher and Atharva. Their quintessential tale of love and romance. A tale of undying love, their absolute love. The story lived the seven stages of the love and makes you fall in love with it. The way the Author explained and lived the seven stages of love with its Protagonist is never seen before experience.
The cover of the book is designed by Ajitabha Bose. He is a writer, filmmaker, designer and an entrepreneur. He is a world record holder for publishing the smallest love story book in India.
“UNNS The Captivation” by SAPAN SAXENA Book Cover: The cover is designed by Ajitabha Bose. Two lovers are walking towards sea in rain holding an umbrella. This is very beautiful and reminded me of “Pyar hua Iqrar hua” of Raj Kapoor and Nargis. Blurb: "Of course you know about the seven stages of love, but have you ever lived them?"
Atharva Rathod and Meher Qasim.
Love birds since adolescence. Bonded by love, separated by circumstances. They part ways only to meet again. But this time, he is on a secret mission...
Are they in control of their own destiny, or it’s their destiny which is making them dance to its tunes? Only time would answer, as Atharva and Meher unwillingly and unknowingly transcend the seven stages of love.
A quintessential tale of love and romance marked beautifully by its own rustic old school charm. Review: The book is a love story of a Hindu boy and Muslim girl, Atharva and Mehar. They meet in school and feel attraction. Somehow they grow apart in the end of school days. Growing up Atharva joins Research and analysis wing (RAW). Mehar has a tragedy and settles in Germany. Atharva is sent on a secret mission there and their path cross again. Will they meet or again grow apart? The story progresses at a leisurely pace. The chemistry between Atharva and Mehar is good. This is a love story at heart which has a thriller element of espionage. I came to know a new thing form the book and that is 7 stages of love in Urdu. These are: 1. Hub means the stage of attraction. 2. Unns means the stage of infatuation. 3. Ishq is when people actually fall in love. 4. Aqeedat is stage of reverence. 5. Ibadat is worshipping of lover. 6. Junoon is the sixth stage of obsession for your lover. 7. The final stage is Maut which means death. There is nothing more auspicious for someone who loves a soul to die for him or her. Sapan has shown all these 7 stages in three different stages of their meetings. The stages are represented by season. First is Basant which means spring. Second one is Herbst for which I have to look up dictionary. The middle German name Herbst means harvest and modern meaning is fall. Third stage is winter. These seasons represent the progress of their relation and these are further sub divided into Hub, Unns, Ishq, Aqeedat, Ibadat, Junoon and Maut. This is a very interesting way of naming chapters and at first I got confused. But by end everything became clear. Positive points: The story is interesting. English is very good and there are no grammatical mistakes (big plus for a new writer). You feel for the characters and that is important. The language is crisp and clear. I am impressed by paper and print quality. Typesetting is very good and pleasing to see. This is pleasing to read and easy on easy. Negative points: The story is bit predictable. The German portion looks inspired by Salman Khan- Katrina Kaif starrer “Ek Tha Tiger” (though I am not sure). Miyaaz Sheikh character looks a straight rip off of a character played by Roshan Seth in the movie. The book is too simplified at places and the writer tries to spoon feed the reader at places. This slows the pace down and makes it too descriptive and long at place. Some tight editing would have done a lot of good. Recommendation and rating: I would recommend it all my friends who like to read good romantic fiction. Though the story is a simple romance but the presentation (stages of love and seasons of life) is quiet new and unique. I give the book a 3.5/ 5 stars. So, this is what a page turner means, had to finish it in one sitting. The story is full of love, thrill, suspense, twists and turns and yet it is so crisp that you won't get bored of it at any point of time and would just want to read on. There are instances in the story which feel very normal while reading them, but when you read further on, you get to see that each of these instances had a purpose and was intelligently placed at the right spot. The beauty with which everything is connected will definitely give you many 'Wow' moments. Moreover, I loved the way with which all the chapters were named, they perfectly depicted the protagonists going through all the seven stages of love. In totality, a very deep story which is beautifully crafted and is definitely worth reading.
UNNS-The Captivation is overally a good story as the author has managed to add as much of plot possible to those 244 pages. The ones who read the book will know the real meaning behind the title of the book and surely UNNS is named differently. Even the chapters carry the names which need some bit of decoding that proves that the author has given a lot of thought to the naming.
The plot being a good one, all that's required is improvement in the storytelling skills of the author in order to provide something for reading.
UNNS THE CAPTIVATION BY SAPAN SAXENA Author sapan has used simple language and can be understood easily. he has written the story on the topic which is rarely touched. Cover of the novel is attractive and author ask one thing on the cover. "Of course you know about the seven stages of love, but have you ever lived them?" Definitely reader will get all answer after novel reading. The leading character of this novel are Atharva Rathod and Meher Qasim. Love birds since adolescence. Bonded by love, detached by situations. They part ways only to meet again. But this time, he is on a secret mission...Are they in control of their own destiny, or it's their destiny which is making them dance to its tunes? Only time would answer, as Atharva and Meher unwillingly and unknowingly transcend the seven stages of love. Few thoughts are really impressive which was put by author in this book. “You have been the summary of my entire existence; my biggest weakness, my greatest strength. The weathers of my life start and end with you. You complete me.” My rating is : Cover : 4/5 Story plot : 5/5 Narration : 4/5 Total : 4/5
The cover page always inspires the readers towards grabbing the book and this book has proved it. The book cover is very well designed with a royal blue rose which plays an important role in the story.
Review :
The book is very well knotted with the plot of romance and mystery. The book can be divided into three plots – 1. the school story where the protagonists Atharva and Meher, falls in love with each other but ends up their relationship abruptly blaming the situation. 2. Destiny binds them again after a huge time gap at Munich, Germany, where they both had already started their life in their own way but also their relationship ends up again with some heartbreaks and a mystery. 3. Sparks of old age starts emerging from both when they again meet up in Boston but are they destined to be together now?? And the book moves towards quenching the answer to this question.
Though the genre is usual romance, the author has served it in a unique way with twists and turns and also hidden mysteries. The word UNNS seems uncommon but the author has explained the reason for the name in the flow of the book. The author recieves a huge applause for beautifully explaining the seven stages of love. The book is an immediate page turner and can also be completed in a single go as we start living the life of those characters. The use of simple and lucid language comforts our reading. Only the starting 20-25 pages were a little bore, as they invoked a thought that the book will be full of the school love story. But the author proved it wrong in the upcoming pages and impressed the readers with his words and narration. The unexpected events and twists hooks us up with the book to find the end of the story. The investigation part of the story is an interesting read as we become a part of the officers investigating it. The little story of Matthias Steiner deeply explains the meaning of love and trust. Every character is explained with utmost care and the author also explained the meaning of true love. One of the best books to be suggested to debut readers. This book also delivers a message that
1. No matter what, true love cannot be forgotten even at the verge of death.
2. Blindly trusting a person will prove you blind at the end.
My view on the book :
What if you meet the love of your life again and again even after numerous heartbreaks? Is it the play of destiny or the play of a person behind?
Can you build up trust on a person who cheats you again and again?
Find your answers amidst the well constructed words of this book.
I have always believed that in any relationship, one person is always more in love than the other. The same is the case with Atharva. UNNS: THE CAPTIVATION is a heartbreaking story of Atharva Rathod who fell in love Meera Qasim and unconditionally loves her throughout his life but Meera has some other priorities. The book is written in a diary kind of format where Atharva takes us all on the journey of his life by reading his diary for one last time. The story starts off as the cute high school romance between Atharva and Meera but takes a toll when Meera breaks up with him because her parents find about them. 15 years later they meet again in Germany. Atharva is now a RAW agent and Meera, a business woman. A lot has changed except the love of Atharva for Meera. The real twist happens here which changes the course of the life of Atharva. It is because he was too much in love with her and loving someone that much is also dangerous. It's like destiny loves to play games with them because they meet after another 12 years. What will happen this time? Will destiny again play a cruel joke or will they unite? The story has some loopholes. The background story of some things are not given and these events unfold abruptly which cause a disturbance in the flow of reading. I love the contrast shown between the two characters. Atharva is portrayed as an optimistic person who finds a reason behind every action of a person whereas Meera is a bit pessimistic in approach and instead of understanding the situation, sticks to her own judgements. The fact that Atharva is a RAW agent adds to the charm of the story.
The book is rightly named Unns-The Captivation because it will captivate you until you complete it and in my case even after that. This book is a perfect read for someone looking for romance combined with some elements of a thriller. Stars- 🌟🌟🌟🌟
'I received this copy from Writersmelon in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.'
"UNNS" by Sapan Saxena, is a book that I loved reading. Initially the story started like any other romance novel with boy-meets-girl type theme. However, as you progress through the pages, a sensible and mature love story with a lot of thrill, twists and turns start unfolding.
There are three phases in this love story. And all the seven phases of love are described beautifully in the book. The chapters name were totally brilliant and at its' best. Unns is book with a unique story that keeps you hooked till the end. It may take a while to pick up but once you start enjoying the story, you simply can not leave it midway. One needs a lot of sensibility and sensitivity to write such a story. Though at some points the story felt inspired by some Bollywood movies but overall it was a nice read.
So what is this book all about? It is Love. Yes, it’s a romantic story with lots of twists and turns starting from the college times till the adult life. The narration style and description is beautiful and the language used is simple and easy to understand. At some places I felt the author could have described and explained the story in some more details without hurrying to wrap up everything. The end of the story could have been better and seemed a little abrupt without detailed explanation.
The title of the book is very interesting and catchy. The cover is also beautiful. With subtle and minimal usage of colours and fonts, the cover has come out really well. The rose on the cover image also has its significance which you realise after reading the book.
Overall, Unns by Sapan is an interesting read and is recommended to those who love reading romantic thrillers. If I am asked to describe it in one word then I would say: “unputdownable”.
The story is about Atharva and Meher. The book starts with Atharva flipping thru his diaries. Atharva one of the bright students of the school falls in love with Meher who is one of the house captains in the same school. He spends time with Meher and they get to know each other well. But fate separates them as Meher breaks up with Atharva and opted for higher studies in Germany.
The destiny plays around as they meet again in Germany but this time he is on a mission. Rest of the story is having full of suspense.
The book is not a usual romance one. It is mixed with suspense, action, drama and gives an idea about how the new generation is looking at future. Sapan’s characters are near to the realistic. The characters are as clear as crystal and the story is very crisp. The book reading experience was massively satisfying.
Simply we can divide this one in to part one and two. Part one of this book talks more about the characters’ lives and gives us a sneak peek into their deep thoughts that make them, who they are. Part two sees a newfound maturity of characters.
In the book, what I cherished the most is the ending. It isn’t usual, and there’s a punch to it.
UNNS The captivation is a bold unfettered page turner that challenges our every assumption about life.
It’s a great book for a weekend read with full of surprises
With the plot based on the love story of a spy, UNNS is a good effort. The main characters Atharva and Meher were childhood lovers who were reunited at Germany when the former had to tend to a spy mission. The old love in Atharva resurfaced after seeing her and she showed signs of inclination as well. But things did not end up well for the duo and Atharva was sentenced for imprisonment and the book narrates this story and the events that followed. The book has a number of grammatical errors and even the format of storytelling needs a lot of work . The book named infatuation speaks of love as a man aged 25 years or more would be foolish enough to go after a girl he had infatuated on 15 years (the 15 years of waiting prove that he was in love as it's a fact that one cannot be infatuated for more than 4 months). There were certain loopholes as well which explain Atharva's carelessness to great extents even after been a trained RAW officer so according to me that's where the story needs improvement. I loved the character Meher, she tends to look mysterious to the eyes of the reader because of the minimum explanation about the person yet a lot of things regarding her actions. As a reader, I expect some good amount of description from a book so that the words feel more than just words.
UNNS is a beautiful story of its own kind. Its light, expressive, warm, kind of romance drawn on a huge canvas. A love tale of two people fighting with their own demons. At moments you can easily figure out refernces from a certain movies, but the author has succesfully been able to carve a niche in all such refernces. The book follows a fast yet powerful romance. The book has tried more of creating a beautiful aura around with its subplots. Saxena has painted a beautiful canvas to show the world that love is more powerful than anything.
The female protagonist Meher Qasim is the heart and soul of the book. Very rare comes a fast paced romanctic book which has the potential of standing tall for any artistic literature.UNNS is n "MASTERPIECE", yes the book has its flaws to some margin but proves very powerful overall.
A captivating thrilling love story…UNNS – the captivation is a second book by sapan saxena. It is a romantic thriller story which makes you read in one sitting as it has a lot of twist and turns, full of love and suspense also just like a hindi movie. The cover is a very simple, neat and clean with just two colors – black & white. But one royal blue flower is there which has a very deep important role you will know as you read this captivating novel. Same as the cover, the writing is simple too however impressive and interesting. About the story: It is a story of Atharva Rathod and Meher Qasim. Story divided in three parts. First one is about love story begins at the school days between Atharva Rathod and Meher Qasim. Atharva and Maher falls in love in school time. But when Meher’s parents discovers them she has to broke up with Atharva. The first few pages you will feel like this is a simple adolescent love story of school days. But after the second part, as you read further it becomes more interesting. There is a twist and turns which makes the story very interesting as well as intelligent one. In second part, after the fifteen years, they met again in Munich, Germany. The Atharva, a senior RAW officer – is a strongest person with just one weakness, Meher who goes to Germany for their secret mission. And Meher is a business women who is a citizen of Germany. After fifteen years they met. And after some twist they end up again. The third part is in Boston, U.S. they met again but now the question is: Are they destined to be together now? Here, one more beautiful thing is how author described seven stages of love. Every three parts again divided in seven chapters about seven stages of love. So, considering all the things, cover, story plot, narration, my overall rating is 5/5.
The story starts in the quintessential boy-meets-girl type. Meher and Atharva are in the same school. They are in their final year and are looking forward to the couples being formed. On a friend's recommendation, Atharva has Mehar in his mind but their initial meeting leads to a lot of fireworks.
The main characters, Atharva and Meher, are crafted really well. Both have interesting, well-rounded personalities. Since the duration of the story spans over a number of years, the characters have aged really well. Initially, you see immaturity in both of them, but by the end, both have grown into themselves and know what they want. The author has handled this change wonderfully.
I really liked the way this book starts... with that school vibe, it was so amazing. After a really long time.. I found a good book by an indian author. It was a quick read and it keeps you hooked from the starting. I really really liked this one. A big thumbs up.
Unns is the love tale of Atharva and Meher who first met in school and fell in love. But destiny pulls them away from each other. They meet again after 15 years in Germany but Atharva is on a secret mission as he now works with RAW as a secret agent.
The author has played well with words. The first part will bring back some old school memories and will definitely make you remember your high school love. Writing is lucid and easy to connect. The story flows in the right manner and rings a bell that you can't forget your first love as Atharva still loves Meher.
The writer describes seven stages of love - Hub (Attraction) , Unns (Infatuation), Mohabbat (Love ), Aqeedat (Respect) , Ibaadat (Worship) , Junoon (Obsession), Maut (Death ).
Unns is an apt title as the word means infatuation - we think it is love but it is mere attraction. This is one of the best love stories that I have read by an Indian author till date.
UNNS The Captivation by SAPAN - 7 Stages Of Love 3 Seasons of Life
UNNS The Captivation by Sapan is regarding seven stages of love as per Sufi tradition. The first stage of love is Hub or Dilkashi that means the stage of Attraction. Next, comes Unns, the stage of infatuation, captivation, or attachment. Then comes the stage of Ishq or love. The fourth stage is Aqeedat, the stage of reverence. As a matter of fact, this is the stage of trust and deep respect for the other person. Thereafter it is the stage of Ibadat where you start worshipping your lover. Then comes the stage of Junoon or madness. The love at this stage takes either extreme of blessing or curse. And finally, the seventh one is the stage of Maut where one dies for the other. There is a lot of action in this fictional love story. In fact, it is as dynamic and crisp as a movie.
There are three phases in this love story. And you will all the seven stages of love in each phase. One thing is sure that one needs a different kind of maturity to write such a beautiful story. So the whole credit goes to the author of UNNS The Captivation. And when I say maturity, it is not the only maturity in writing but in life too. The story is about two lead characters Atharva and Meher. The boy falls in love with the girl during the last year of their schooling. Both are as if made for each other. Atharva proposes Meher and she accepts. But then destiny has something different in store for both. A small mistake in taking the right decision at right time can impact not one but two lives. That too in a big way.
The tragedy of life is the difference in stages of love between two lovers. The story of UNNS grows around you quite silently and without you realizing, it grasps you. And once you are in the grip of it, it will be impossible to drop the book without completing. In fact, you become a part of it. Strangely, you will not be able to hate any character except the circumstances. There are a good amount of twists in the story. In addition, it is full of suspense. So much so that it will take you to a different level of excitement and engrossment. The story of UNNS is a complete fit for a movie. Hope to see it soon on the big screen. Mind it, it is a pure international level thriller love story.
This book should be a best-seller. A well-knitted plot with unexpected twists and turns. It was very hard for me to turn the book down. The author tried to show the 7 stages of love, which is a very new concept for me and made a successful attempt on that. The book covers the story of a RAW agent and his encounter with love and duty. The way Sapan showed their love is very attractive and the unexpected twists & turns kept me on the edge while reading. Not even for once, I get my interest down to complete this book. I come to know about a very new theory that is 7 stages of love from this book and seriously I tell every people about this. The starting and the ending parts really made me feel sentimental. I was feeling every bit of their conversation and the scene. I was feeling the pain from every word said by the characters. Really, an appreciable effort by the author Sapan Saxena. He just found a new fan of himself.
The characters introduced were heard of, situations were heard of and even the incidents couldn’t ignite the requisite flame.
If I talk about the writing then the author did not disappoint much. The narration was easy and smooth, the language was not below the average line and the dialogues were relatable. There were no major editing issues in the book as well. The spacing, the fonts all pleased the eyes and that is why it became a very quick read.
The middle portion of the book was the most disappointing one. The starting was average as I already mentioned and the last section was good. There was something to look for in the ending and that is why the book became a little gripping. I enjoyed the chain of events, the change in characters and the revelation. It was a nice showdown.
Crisp story seasoned with favours. The story is a tale of love of two love birds. The complete story revolves around Atharva Rathod and Meher Qasim ( the protagonists). They met first time in school and thereafter the love flower bloomed between the two of them. However, on one night Meher's parents discovered her relationship with Atharva and the next day she broke up. After the school, Meher moved on and left the country and moved to Germany. However, Atharva couldn't move on and lived with her memories with a hope of meeting again. What happens next? Discover by reading the book. Crisp plot seasoned with different flavors. The starting of the book is not much interesting as it tells the tale of school kids falling in love and then getting separated. This makes it a little boring. However, the story holds its grip from the second part where the story takes a leap of 15 years and Atharva becomes an officer and moves on to a mission to Germany and meets Meher. The perfect amalgamation of love and revenge is commendable. The way Meher traps Atharva into her plan in the name of love and vice versa after getting released from jail, Atharva traps Meher is really fantastic. The descriptive writing style, realistic plot wrapped with some suspense makes it a perfect and gripping read for everyone despite age factor. Also, the seven stages of love mentioned and the way author has classified each chapter into those seven stages is cool. Negatives- I didn't like the cover as according to the beautiful story inside the cover didn't match accordingly. It could have been somewhat a mixture of love and suspense. Secondly, the characterisation is not very good. The protagonists are not described well. While reading I could not figure out in my mind that how Atharva and Meher looked. The hazelnut eyes didn’t help much. Rest, No flaws.!

It's a unique plot knitted beautifully by the author. The story is about the lead character, Atharva. His infatuation for Meher is portrayed well. It's a story of an inter-religious love. From the very start, how Atharva's love grow, that's... let's keep it a suspense.
Apart from the scope in narration, rest of the book elements are wonderful. The language is lucid and easy to follow. The uniqueness even in the romance genre (which I feel is moving towards a saturation point) is quite commendable by the author.
The character of Atharva is adorable, with regards to his commitment and simplicity. The time and place settings are a plus. A bit of predictability, at instances, is a minus.
The title is quite catchy and the reader will decipher its meaning while reading the book. The cover is simple and not much attractive. But it's okay. The plot speaks for itself.
"Of course you know about the seven stages of love, but have you ever lived them?"
Unns The Captivation is the second book by the author of Finders Keepers SAPAN SAXENA. The book is a romance thriller released on 18th March 2017 by Inspire India Publishers. The cover page of the book is very simple in black and white colour with a blue rose which plays an important role in the story. The cover design is by Ajitabha Bose.
Unns The Captivation is a story of two people Atharva Rathod and Meher Qasim. The book is divided in three parts.Firstly, when Atharva and Meher fell in love in their adolescence in school, but broke up when Meher's parents discovered her relationship with Atharva. Secondly, after fifteen years both meet each other in Germany where Atharva was on a mission, but in the last fifteen years he was not able to forget her. Both were dealing with their own set of demons. And lastly, when both of them meet each other again in the USA.
The story is very realistic and gripping written in a very simple language. While reading the book one can easily visualize the happenings and it can be felt as if one is watching a movie. The first part of the story is a bit boring dealing with adolescent love in school but as the story progresses it gets a grip. The characters should have been described a bit more in depth but the emotions of the characters can be felt easily. The author has explained the different stages of love very nicely and an interesting fact is that the chapters are titled with the names of the seven stages of love. I liked how author switches between Atharva reading his diary and the present. The book is full of twists, turns, thrill, suspense and love and has taught me that true love cannot be forgotten. Overall, the book is a page turner and can be read in one sitting. I recommend this book to those who are interested in reading romance with some thrill.
First it felt like a typical story but the characterization and way of conveyed the story erased my 'typical thought' recommend it for who love to read Romantic Thriller
“Unns- The captivation” is a romantic thriller and the author has surely done justice to both the words-'ROMANCE' and 'THRILLER'. It captivates your interest till the end by the beauty of its characters and the excellence of its plot with the AWESOME DOUBLE CLIMAX !
It's not the typical love story, rather a story full of love, betrayal, suspense, patriotism, rage, regret and what not, you just cannot loose interest while reading, not even once! It tells how people in love throw away their common sense and become blind, while not being loved can bring people to the edge of madness. I completely felt like reading the script for a coming blockbuster movie !!
The brilliant naming of the chapters is really impressive, it gives the feeling how characters lived the seven stages of love, again and again, at different stages of their life. Also, some really intense dialogues by the author in between the casual conversations, forces you to pause for a moment and relish the depth of the emotions, like “I don’t think you remember me as well as I remember us”.
Highly recommended to everyone and the author has surely got a new fan!!
