Spoilers Below: . . . . . . . . . . . IT FINALLY HAPPENED. WE HAVE OUR LGBT HERO. Reflections is an adorable tale about Lena Oxton, a.k.a. "Tracer" finding a last minute Christmas gift. As we watch her zip around King's Row, we watch her struggle with finding the right gift, and ultimately failing to get what she wants. Until someone gives her a gift, which ends up in the hands of her girlfriend, Emily. Yes, GIRLFRIEND. The magic of the holidays live on as the two of them share a kiss, and it's a wonderful reveal for the LGBT community!!
The comic shows most of our favorite heroes and how they will be spending the holidays, giving fans of the game plenty of speculation on what certain heroes are doing. (I personally plan on writing a thesis paper about Hanzo, because as my favorite character he's got a lot going on in the single panel he's shown in.) But this comic is definitely a must read for any Overwatch fan!!
An LGBT hero, adorable family scenes, sweetness going all around and a cute ass Christmas setting? My ass is in flames.
The artwork in this was beautiful, it took my breath away. I'm totally in love with Tracer after this issue. I knew nothing about her but she's stunning. I love her character, I love her design and I think she deserves so much love. I just want to hug her.
This is short, but incredibly sweet and definitely worth the read!
I can't even update this review after reading it four times. I'm just crying, I'm speechless, this is adorable. Read it.
I've, actually, read all the other Overwatch comics, as well, but I didn't want to use them all as 'books' I had read this year given how short they are, so I figured I would log the most recent one.
Love these, quite enjoyable and I like the background to the characters.
Out of all the comic books I've ever read, this one is my favorite. The character is just pure and wholesome. Even though things don't go her way on Christmas, she perseveres. The message the story sends was really good. I never thought I would feel this way about a book because I don't like to read often. I love this book.<3 10/10.
Read this one a while ago and adored it, even though at the time I knew nothing about Overwatch, other than via the comics. Now I have actually played the game and LOOOOOOOVE it so much. Wish the free weekend was a free week ~ can't wait to get it. Look forward to more comics and can't wait for my favorite to get her own comic!!
One of my favorite short comics that the Blizzard team has put out about Overwatch. This is also THAT comic that reveals Tracer, the Overwatch flagship character, is a lesbian. I love it. It's surrounding Christmastime and has a nice two page spread on how multiple Overwatch members are spending their time.
Unlike the Halloween special, I would not call this one pointless. It hints at a lot of important stuff that happens in the game's lore while maintaining a cute, delightful Christmas story for the reader. I particularly like how it treats Lena's relationship without fanfare and just normalises it. Very nice.
No one is talking about it but I'm gonna say i was about to cry when Winston thought he was going to have his christmas dinner alone, he looked soo sad, i was so happy seeing tracer and her girlfriend in his door and with a beautiful hug at the end😭💜
Very sweet and comfy look at what the characters are up to when not on the job! Although I appreciate that the comic isn't afraid to show how the holidays aren't always the happiest times for some without taking away from the resolution of the focus characters
