César González has been writing since he was a kid. In his spare time he enjoys reading, writing, reading, writing, and then for good measure he writes some more. He lives in California.
He is always setting up diets that he can't keep, and loves to run a lot, that way he can justify eating cake with coffee every day.
César is also an avid anime fan and is constantly on the lookout for the next anime series to binge on.
It's been 6 years since the end of the Onaga Twilight. Fans are in for a big surprise (will not spoil it).
Loved the growth that Selene takes through this book. very few times has a tragic character been so well handled. The fact that I hated her in the last series, to know her becoming my favorite character speaks volumes.!!!
Aldair ended up being my least favorite.
I loved also that Aya came back with a huge role. Not only her, but a few old faces make an appearance.
This book is in my opinion, the best out of the entire series. Why? you may ask. Well, unlike the first book where everything is still mainly centered around Falcon, this book has literal chapters dedicated to each character here. Cesar also illustrates the problems that Selene Nakatomi goes through and Aya's struggles. Instead of having two kind of sad-ish characters throughout the story, he added Aldair who is that positive character who keeps everyone's spirits up. Aldair also holds some relation with Faith showing that although Faith passed away, she still isn't forgotten. One of the reasons I love this book so much is because in every book, he adds a plot twist, demonstrating you just don't truly know everything and the series isn't predictable at all because once you think you can predict what's gonna happen, boom! He adds another plot twist. Also, I'm not the type who loves romance, but I like small bits of it here and there. Here, there is signs of romance between Aldair and Selene but it doesn't throw all the attention on the romance. Its basically is just there to add on to the storyline and don't worry, the romance is safe to read. Not PG-18.
Really like it, though I think the next book was far better. I still enjoyed how the new threat was being set up.
Great to see that the author has not forgotten about the old characters and they're still around in big ways.I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the sins of the past are still around. I'm speaking about Selene (once known as Blood Empress).
In too many books the events of the past have zero to no consequence on a new series. Well, not here. Selene Nakatomi has to deal with the atrocities she did in her time as the Blood Empress. I really liked how it was handled and how we get to look inside this once antagonist.
