A single kind word brings two men together in Hawaii on Christmas Day. Pre-med Aden from Malibu and middle-aged entrepreneur Russ from Chicago are each spending Christmas alone. Their meeting on a nearly deserted Kauai beach leads to an exhilarating two weeks as they experience many firsts. First time spearfishing. First time saving a man’s life. First waterfall sex. First time falling in love, at least for young Aden. As they discuss their future, it becomes obvious one of them must relocate for them to be together. Before leaving Hawaii, both receive news making relocation nearly impossible. Can their holiday romance survive physical separation?

Raised in a small Midwestern farming community, Michael left home at twenty to explore the world. After spending most of the ’70s in the United States Air Force, he earned an MBA and went to work in corporate finance.
