“My life used to be full of certainty, and now it’s the exact opposite.”
Abigail Beckett thought life couldn’t get weirder after being thrust into the world of P.O.E. when she was discovered as a genetically affected human. Shipped off to an academy so the United Government of Earth could keep them all a secret, she was finally starting to reconcile her new norm. That was until she was forced to go on the run when an unknown enemy attacked during a field test. Out in the wilderness, she must face mutated animals and mercenaries in her quest to return to the Academy and find out the truth. With unexpected help from Legacy Families, she got more than what she bargained for when she found a three-hundred-year old video. One that had everything to do with her. With an enemy that seemed unstoppable and a secret the world should know, it was finally time to stop running and start fighting back.
The thrilling sequel to Evolution, Selection dives deeper into the world of P.O.E. A world where only the fittest survives.

This is the 2nd book in the series and I enjoyed it. I found the characters engaging and the book moved the story line forward from where it left off. I am older and like the book but I think it would be great for a YA reader as well.
16 year old me thought this was a 5 star read, and 24 year old me thinks she was a dumb bitch that handed these out like candy so it's being demoted to 4 stars.
A perfect book for a weekend read. In the second book of the POE Chronicles Gail and her friends are on the run. Throughout their journey they are left to their own devices, and even split apart from each other along the way. Without giving too many spoilers, its safe to say that the POE world is greatly expanded in this book. It gives more background on Gails's history, and her family as well. Throughout the book multiple new characters are introduced, and some reunited from past times. While I love how intricate each of the characters are, at times it is confusing to keep up with who is who. Although that may only be a problem if it takes you long periods of time to finish a book, especially if you go a while without reading it. This book does an excellent job at making the characters more rounded, and create a web of connections between them. Overall, this was a great read. Almost any YA reader will enjoy this book simply due to the intricate story. The only downsides I would be able to give would be the large amount of characters you need to remember, as well as a few typos and grammatical errors here and there.

I received a Advanced reader copy of this book This is the second book in the series and like the first the characters and story line are good. I really liked the book. If you get hung up on every word being perfect don't buy. If you like a fun read with enough action for everyone give this author a try. I will be waiting for the next book to come out
